Scooby Doo Mystery
Review by Milford Mofo
"Scooby Dooby Doo, your game is bad, you got some work to do now."
Wow, this is just a bad game. I mean, this could possible be the worst game I have ever played in my entire life. The only reason I have it a 3 was because Scooby Doo is so awesome. I feel bad for the dog, he used to be awesome, but after this game I have lost so much respect for him. I think he might have been forced into it because I can’t see a dog as awesome as Scooby Doo agreeing to be part of a game like this. I mean, Jeez Laweez, what where these guys thinking? This game is worse that bad; it’s even worse then horrible. I would say that playing this game for an hour is just a little better than getting shot in the arm. If I had the choice of playing this game for 2 hours or getting shot, I’d take the gun and happily shoot myself.
Gameplay 1/10: If I could go lower than 1, I would. I don’t have a clue how anyone could play this game and not get annoyed by how hard it is to maneuver Scooby Doo. I thought it would be easy to move a stupid dog around, but I was wrong, very wrong. All I have to say about the gameplay is that it is really bad, to the extreme.
Story: 1/10: Story? What story!? Most of the time it is clear whether or not there is a story to a game, but this time, I had no idea what was going on. First I’m just walking around as Scooby Doo, then there’s a ghost that I'm fighting, then before I know it I’m practically dancing around and I don’t know what’s going on! What is the theme man!? WHAT IS THE THEME!!?
Graphics/sound 8/10: The graphics were descent considering it’s a Sega Genesis game. Not too great, but not too bad either. The sound however was amazing. All these funny noises were popping up and this was by far the best part of the game. I love hearing Scooby Doo talking the way he does, or the sound effects when he jumps and things happen. If a game has the sound boink in it, then its sound is ok by me.
Play Time 1/10: Once again, if I could go lower than 1, I most certainly would. This game doesn’t take too long to beat; however, it was the hardest game for me to beat probably ever. The game itself wasn’t difficult, but withstanding its badness was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. You will get barely any play time out of this.
Overall 3/10: The game itself was bad, horrible actually. The only reason this didn’t get a 1 is because Scooby Doo was in it and of the funny noises. So if you like just having good characters and noises in games, or wanting to shoot yourself, then this game is for you. If you are sane however, DON’T BUY THIS GAME, steal it from a friend if you want to though.
