"Ooooooh! Purdy colours"

I didn't care that much for tetris (please don#t shoot me). I didn't find it that good. But THIS game came with a 6-in-1 cartridge, and I had completed street fighter, sonic, etc. so I thought I'd give this a try.
Wow.

Graphics- 9
Brilliant. The menu screens change every now and then, and the in game graphics are bright and cartoony. Anybody who has read my other reviews will know that I love cartoony graphics. And this games graphics are incredible, bearing in mind that tetris was odd looking, and not that colourful, and that most clones of tetris are worse than the original.

Sound- 6
Ah. See, this games sound knowcks off the points in my score for it. It is not very good. There is a very limited option for music, and sound effects are nasty, loud, and misplaced. The jems make a very odd noise when you match them together. It is loud and screeching. Not very nice. I found myself with the volume turned off listening to Eminem instead.

Story- 0
There is no story. You just match up jems. Meh.

Gameplay- 10
Brilliant. Excellant. Magnificant. And other words ending in ''ant''. I love this game. I played it for about 6 hours solid before relising I hadn't walked the dog who was starting to have a seriously bad reaction to my game. as in trying to eat my computer. The game is simple, easy, fun. Match up combos for mega score.

Replayivity- 9

Anyhoo, as I mentioned before, it is very addictive. However, the scores are only saved until you turn the console off. Not very nice. But still, play with two players and it will last forever.

Controls- 10
Ok, I left the controls til last. That is because a raccoon came and swiped... my... Ok, I forgot. But anyway, the controls are nice and simple, left and right moves them, a, b, c, changes the order of the jewels. No flippy aaround stuff. Match 3 or more of the same colour for points. Also, on the early levels of the game, it will show you all of the possible places to destroy the jewels. Great.

Overall- 8
This game is very good, but tacky sounds let it down completely. Also, no story. But it is a game that will keep you playing itno the small hours of the morning.

Buy or rent- BUY
Don't go specially and buy a console soley for this this game. Buy it if you own the console, but I would say look out for the 6-in-1 classics box and buy that, cos the game on it's own wouldn't be much of a purpose as chances are, the two cartridge would cost pretty much the same.
