"My Favorite game of all time!"

Hi everyone! I'm here to give my opinion about Outrun! This game is my favorite game of all time! I grew up playing this game in the Arcade with its moving, hydraulically enhanced cabinet, and when I finally got my Genesis I got OutRun for it right away!

This game is all about beating the clock. Shift your gears and get to the checkpoint before the time runs out (get it? runs out, Out Run). You choose which way you want to go while you race in your beautiful Ferrari. There are many different environments to explore in this fast racing game. All you need is your basic 3-button controller and your Genesis.

GRAPHICS - Very nice for its time. Its fast moving, and you can get into it easily. It's funny when you make a big crash because you fly out of your car! When the car flips over you can see that the bottom of your car is extremely detailed with both axles and everything! And you get great different backgrounds throughout the game. You also get funny animated endings depending on where you finish your race.

SOUND - The Best music I have ever heard in any video game in my life!! It’s so creative and you can choose from 4 different songs that last through the whole game without repeating. The Arcade version of this game only had 3 songs to choose from, but the Genesis version adds an extra song called Step On Beat which is just as good as the other songs. The sound effects are also nice. On those tight turns your car makes a realistic skidding noise. You also have a real voice talk when you cross checkpoints or finish the race.

REPLAY ABILITY - This game can be very addictive. After you beat it on normal then try to beat it on hard and then once you think your good enough try it on PRO! Like I said there are many environments to explore. Sometimes I just go to options and listen to the music too because It's just Sooooo Good! I have had this game for a really long time and I’m still not sick of playing it! If I get bored with it, I will turn it off, then 10 minutes later I’ll want to play it again!

Extra FEATURES – Hyper mode (earned after beating Pro difficulty) makes the game super fast! Which makes it CRAZY! In a good way.
