"Let this game slide by your way, you'll be missing a pure classic for the Genesis."

I was a bit unnerved by this thing's GAWD AWFUL cover art, but bought it anyway, cause I had a Sega Genesis that needed more company than just Sonic 2(which I love). I popped this baby in and instantly fell in love with it. Here's why:

Graphics: OH. MY. GOD!! These are ABSOLUTLY the best graphics for any non-Sonic Sega game EVER!! They come VERY close to rivaling that of the almighty Sonic 3 and Knuckles. This game just looks INCREDIBLE. You can easily pick out every single detail in the background, even when you're running. The sprites are clean and beautiful, and it just will amaze you that a Sega game can look this good.
GRADE: A+

Gameplay: Another excellent category. Your character, Headdy, responds instantly to every move you make. There is no lag time, like there is in some Sega titles. The controls are easy, and that is very fortunate, because of The simple fact of the game's sheer difficulty.
I'm not gonna lie to you. This game is HARD!! had it not been for a level select cheat I would not have been able to even get past half of the bosses, and this is coming from a platforming VETERAN! The first levels (about up to the Green Room) are fairly simple, but after that, BEWARE! Probably the toughest boss is the Motor Hand boss at the end of Stair Wars, but I'll stop rambling.
GRADE: A

Sound/Music: Yet ANOTHER winner! The sound, from the jumping, the ''pling'' of the Keys, and everything else, sounds perfect and never lags. There are a few voices in this game, like Headdy's ''Yes!'' and Dark Demon's evil laughter. Instead of sounding raspy and scratchy like many Sega games that try voices (Mortal Combat, I'm looking at you. Bow your head in shame now), the voices sound relativly clear and pure. The music is AWESOME. My fav.s include The Rocket Tier and Terminate Her too(Yes, the level names ARE parodies of movie titles)

Story: Meh. Pretty much your average Platformer story (Evil guy tries to take over, sends minions, blah blah blah)However, there are a few twists, like Trouble Bruin, who is NOT a cat, but a bear instead. He's a BEAR that attaches his head to various machines and, according to the Jap. version, is very jealous of Headdy stealin' the spotlight, and wants to kill him for that rather than being told by his boss. Me likey Trouble. Heh
GRADE: A

OVERALL: This game is AWESOME. Great graphics, awesome music. This game is a must-have for platform gamers everywhere.
