Introduction
You are Murokosaki, a master ninja. The Neo Zeed, a gang bent on world domination was defeated at the hands of the Ninja Masters, you are one of them. A couple of years later, the Neo Zeed came back, with an incredible increase of power, and they kill every Master Ninja except you. They have also kidnapped your girlfriend, now it's time to get revenge! Shinobi goes west to seek out Neo Zeed...

Gameplay 10/10
The best game you'll ever find. The fun factor is literally above the scale. At the beginning of the game you choose a sword or shurikens, mysteriously, in this game the shurikens are better. Along your quest to kill Neo Zeed you'll meet many enemies, ranging from dogs to street dancers. There so much variety in this game. The boss battles are no exception, from a sword wielding warrior, to a huge Dinosaur, the game truly shines. There are lots of levels to go through, and the game is considerably difficult, it would probably take many tries to get past the first world, but it's worth it, as the game is fun! The control is outstanding, Shinobi always does what you tell him, though his double jump isn't very good. You can use special Ninja powers when you're in a pinch. The gameplay beats all!

Story 10/10
The story in this game, by far, is the best story in any game, ever. It's filled with action, blood, romance, and revenge! Not even the famous Final Fantasy games can match this games story. It's that good.

Graphics 9/10
The graphics are above average for a genesis game, Shinobi and the rest of the characters and enemies are done very nicely, but the background lacks any real color. You don't really notice though, because you're to focused on the fun gameplay! The in game objects and special Ninja powers such as fire columns are superb. Never have I seen visuals that good in a genesis game.

Music 10/10
The best music on the genesis, period. Every level, from the beginning to the last boss, Neo Zeed, is done with great accuracy. It sets the mood for the levels perfectly. No game on the genesis can match this game in music either.

Sound 10/10
The sound is as varied as the gameplay. Good job Sega! Just about every little thing in the game has it's own, different noise, every weapon you throw sounds differently, and every type of enemy makes a different sound. I don't know how this all fit in a genesis cartridge!

Play Time 10/10
This game will last you, there are two endings, a good one and a bad one. (Not counting if you die). The changes in difficulty also provide more of a challenge for veteran players. And if you're really tough, you can try to go through the whole game with just a knife or a sword! This game last me years. I still play it some to this day.

Final
Buy this game. Do whatever you need to get your hands on it. Buy it, rent it, download it, borrow it, do whatever you need to do to play this game. Missing out on such a great game is very saddening indeed.
