Championship Bowling

"Can you bowl your way to victory?"
Introduction to: Championship Bowling
This is an old game for the system Sega Genesis. This game was released by Visco in 1993. It is for all ages and supports up to two players.
Game play: 9/10
Very solid and steady game play in this game. You select your bowler and ball, then choose your alley. You then select your speed and aim in a complex-yet-simple bar design and then release your ball down the lane. There is also different ways to change your curve too, which adds a new dimension to the game. Depending on your ball weight, speed, and aim, the pins will act in many different ways.
True, the pin physics isn't perfect, but for such an old game, they are very good. Pins bounce off walls and back boards, and slide to take each other out. This makes crazy splits possible to achieve, if you have good hands. Overall, the game play is solid.
Graphics: 8/10
The game is on Genesis, so the graphics obviously don't compare to current graphics. But for its time, the graphics for this game were actually very good. Even today, although they may be basic, they are still clear and clean enough that it doesn't cause any problems.
Sound 7/10
The sound effects in this game are simple yet effective. The pin crashing is well-timed, and the cheers from the ground are distinguished. The other effects are beeping noises telling you that you threw a gutter, or got a strike, etc. These noises are kind of annoying, although the little images that go with them are cute.
The music is not very good. It is basically just loud, repetitive beeping noises over and over, similar to the sound effects for getting a strike, but following a strange little toon. It is rather irritating, so I would suggest just turning it off.
Final Recommendation
I really enjoyed this game, and it is also very replay-able. There is many different modes to unlock, like the "All Spares" mode where you challenge yourself to pick up tricky spares. Overall, this game isn't perfect, but it is a lot of fun. If you have a Genesis, you should try to find this game, it may be on E-bay or something.
