Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures

"A Namco version of the Sims. Not bad."

if you are familiar with the Pac-man series, you know what to do in a Pac-man game: avoid the ghosts and eat all of the Pac dots. Well for the first time ever, you don't have to eat all of the Pac-dots! Why? Well thanks to this game, there are new adventures that Pac-man has yet to discover instead of eating Pac dots in a maze. Namco probably realized that eating a lot is unhealthy and Pac-man needs some new adventures in his life. Well enjoy and happy playing!

How exactly is this game like "The Sims"?
In this game, Pac-man is able to do what he wants at will! Well you can force him to take certain paths thanks to your cursor! However Pac-man can sometimes refuse to take your orders, but that's when he's in a bad mood. Bad mood? Yes! Pac-man has certain moods. For example: when you shoot Pac-mans neighbors dog with the cursor, he gets scared and runs away like a chicken! However, my favorite is when you shoot Pac-man with the cursor or if he gets annoyed by something, he throws a huge fit and is now angry. You can make Pac-man do tons of crazy things I this game like play instruments, ride skate boards (not a pretty ending), and lots of other things! And guess what! Pac-man does not have to eat Pac dots; actually, they don't even exist in this game. Power pellets still exist though, they actually turn him into super Pac-man and now he can eat the ghosts! Instead of Pac dots, you can eat apples, pizza, drink soda, and much more! That is what Pac-man and "The Sims" have in common.

Whats the story line? I'm in the mood for stories
The game is about some witch that is trying to take over by making some kind of gum monster. The story line could have been better though but it is also quite clever. Why? well because I have never seen a story line where evil people make a monster out of bubble gum. I think that is unique and not something you would see every day; and that's why I gave it a six out of ten.

Hmm... the sound, is it good?
To be honest with you, I like it! The music beautifully matches the environment that the music is in. The sound effects are something that will make you hate the mute button (basically implying that the sound is great). When the game attempts to talk, its a little fuzzy but every thing else is clear enough to hear. So I give the sound a nine out of ten.

How humorous is "Pac-man 2"?
I think this game is just as humorous as Mike Judge! This game I think is very funny. For example: when you walk to the music store and break the drums, the lady that works there becomes furious and Pac-man gets the picture that he should run! My all time favorite is when you shoot the head off the statue at the pizza shop, Pac-man gets scared and try's to use himself as the head so the worker doesn't find out. I think that is pretty funny for a video game. There are many other funny things in this game that will make you laugh! I rate the humor a perfect ten out of ten!

How good are the graphics?
The graphics are cartoon looking a little just so you know. So that would mean that the graphics are fair enough to exist in this game. I like how Namco put detail throughout the layouts instead of just putting a few trees and no background. Because of that, the game does not look deserted like most other games do. You can tell where you are and things that are supposed to be far away, look far away instead of up close like old Nintendo games do. I rate the graphics a nine out of ten.

Will this game take forever to beat?
If you know exactly what to do, it would take from an hour to two hours. However there is so many confusing things that you have yet to discover and they are not very easy to figure out, trust me. All together, it would take maybe a week (that's if you play it on and off).

Once I beat this game, will I have any other reason to ever play the game again?
Yes. Remember that there are three games in one, Pac-man, the actual game, and Pac jr. so have fun playing this game!

Do you recommend me to buy or rent this game?
Yes, I recommend you to buy this game. The game brings you laughter and entertainment, trust me, there are not very many games that bring you humor so I recommend you to buy it. Rent it? well remember, thee game takes you a while to beat so I'm not sure you should rent it unless I know that you can beat this game in two days.
