"The worst game on the worst system of all time!"
Well, it’s too bad I can’t give this game a zero, because that’s exactly what I would have done! That also might explain why nobody else even bothered to review this game. Jaguar was a system that tried to get gullible consumers to buy a so-called “64-Bit system” back in 1994. I remember because this was my first Jaguar game for the system. Oh yes, I should also mention that I kept the game and system for about 10 months. I tried in 3 different situations to get rid of it. Finally I traded it to a poor fool for his Saturn, and we haven’t spoke since! Well anyway, onto the game!
Did you ever play “Hard Driven” on the Sega Geneses? This game is basically a cheap spin-off of that game. You control poorly constructed polygon cars through poorly constructed levels such as a giant house, The old west, and A broken up city that is suppose to represent San Francisco (after an earthquake perhaps?).
The control is ever bit as responsive as the old joysticks on the Atari 5200 super system. In other words, it will not respond without multiple finger mashing, followed quickly by red soar thumbs.
The sound is better suited for the Sega Geneses as well because it could have easily been ported onto that system with no problem. Basically a bunch of crash noises that sound like someone dropped a trashcan off a roof, then there are various pleeps and plops.. oh wait, the sound could easily been ported onto the Atari 2600.
I only know of one game that is worse than this, and that’s “Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties” on the 3DO…infact…. I’m going to go review that now. Goodbye all of you ill fated Jaguar owners. Before I go, here is a little math equation:
Atari=Dead System=Depressed consumer
