Copyright ****************************** 1) INTRODUCTION AND CONTROLS ****************************** You are Jack a farmer whose Grandfather died and you take over his farm. Controls A button- Used for interaction with objects, people, and animals. B button- Uses the tool that you have selected. C up- Puts item in Rucksack (can hold up to eight items). C down- eat item. C left- calls horse. C right- calls dog. Z button- Describes item that you are holding. ************** 2) CHARECTORS ************** YOU (the farmer)- Farmer who engages in farming activities and tries to prosper in a small village by raising crops, mining for material, raising livestock, wild plants, and fishing. ELLIE- One possible choose for wife. She is a works in the bakery. To impress her you need to buy baked goods often. POPURI- Another possible wife. Her interests include gardening. She enjoys when you bring her flowers. Buy the Blue Mist Flower to impress her. ANN- Ann works at Green Ranch. She likes animals, so if she is your choose for a wife bring her animals from the forest, your dog, and your chickens. MARIA- Maria is the mayors daughter and works in the library. To become friends with her visit the library and talk with her a behind the counter after looking at the books. Don't bring her your dog. KAREN- Karen works at the vineyards. To get her to become your wife, bring her wild berries and become friends with the vineyard workers. I believe that if you go to the bar often it might increase your chances of marriage. MAYOR- He gives you a tour the third day and runs most of the festivals. ********* 3) ITEMS ********* Water Can- Used to water your crops Axe- Used to chop wood Hammer- Used to brake boulders Sickle- Used to cut grass and cut weeds (although you can use your hands) Hoe- Used before you can plant seeds. Also used to mine for minerals Fishing Pole- You get this from the fisherman to the right of your farm. Used to catch fish. Brush- Used to brush Cows, Sheep, and Horses. This makes them happier. Clippers- Used to get wool from a sheep. Seeds- Along with watering they grow into Crops or flowers to impress the ladies. Bottle- Used to hold liquids such as water, milk, and other beverages. Milker- Used to get milk from a cow. Bell- Calls your Sheep/Cow Cattle Feed- Can feed your Cow/Sheep Cow Potion- Makes one Cow pregnant and after 21 days it gives birth to a calf. Cow Medicine- Used to treat a sick cow. Chicken Feed- Used to feed indoor Chicken. Wild items- Can be sold or eaten. Fish- Can be sold or eaten Flowers- Impress the ladies. Blue Feather- Item used when you want to marry some one. *********** 4) ANIMALS *********** Limits Cows- 4 Sheep- 4 Chickens- 6 Cow- Your first cow can be bought at Green Ranch for 6000g. After you by it you should go to Ricks shop located in the North West corner of town and buy a brush and a milker. To obtain more cows you can either use a Miracle Potion that cost 3000g and impregnates the cow who will give birth 21 days later, or you can simply buy another. Cows produce different amounts of milk based on the size of the cow, the milk prices are: Sp. milk- 500g L milk-300g M milk-100g Sm. milk- 50g. Cows produce the milk daily. Sheep- Sheep are also bought at Green ranch. They cost 4000g and produce Wool once a week. After you buy one go and buy the Clippers at Rick's. You can not breed Sheep there for you must buy all of your Sheep. Chickens- They are bought for 1500g at Green Ranch and produce eggs daily that sell for 50g. There is no special device needed to get eggs except for Chicken feed for the Winter which is cost 10g for one day. To hatch a chicken place it on the stand in the Chicken coop. Horse- The horse is given to you the first time that you visit Green Ranch. A full grown horse can be used as a portable crate. On the 17th of Spring and on the 28th of Fall you can enter it in a horse race. Dog- You have the dog when you start the game and you can enter it in a dog race on the 19th of Winter. To make your dog happy feed it with any type of feed. ********** 5) SPRING ********** On the third day of Spring you will be met by the mayor who will give you a quick tour of the town. After that is over go to Green Ranch and receive the horse. Leave Green Ranch and go strait where you will find a man who gives you a fishing pole. After you have the fishing pole go to the flower shop and buy one bag of seeds because that is all you can buy for right now. For the rest of the time clear enough land so that you have one 3x3 patches, and put the seeds on top of it and water. For the days that there aren't festivals clear the rest of your land and buy seeds when the crops reach there final stage (save one of your crops in your rucksack to be judged at the vegetable festival). If you have any time that is left over chop wood at the various locations and collect plants to sell. On the 8th of the month there is a Planting Festival in which you go to the town square and release some balloons, before you go make sure that your plants are watered. On the 17th of the month there is horse race in which you can enter in year two when your horse is fully grown. While at the race you can talk to the lady at the desk and but tickets for 50g. The number next to the Horse represents how much money you get if you have one ticket on him and he wins the race. Between the 19th and the 22nd you can vote for the Flower Queen, vote for who ever you want to marry. On the 23rd go to the town square and you will find the Flower Festival. Talk to the person that you voted queen and tell her that she looks nice. Soon after there will be a dance choose the person that you want to dance with, it can't be the Queen so pick any of the other four girls. On the last day of the month after all of your crops are in the crate clear the fields so that you won't have to do it the next day. Tips for Spring Buy a wide variety of Crops and decide which you like the best. The first year you will not be able to race your horse. Be prepared to meet your father after the third spring. Crops Turnips: costs-200g sell-60g Potato: costs-200g sell-80g Cabbage: costs-200 sell-90g Items found in nature. Medicinal Herbs: sell 70g Edible Herbs: 30g Very Berry Fruit- 40g Status Check 1st year Cleared all land, planted at least five feilds. 3rd year Have full house. ********** 6) SUMMER ********** On the first day of summer go and buy more seeds (I recommend Tomato) and plant them in your patches of soil. Again in your spare time I would chop wood. At the end of the day go to the town square and greet who ever you want to marry. After the fire works are over the person MIGHT ask you to go and say yes. On the 9th there will be the vegetable festival where you submit the vegetable that you saved. I don't know what happens if you win but you might receive a prize. On the 17th go to the beach at night to be at the Firefly Festival. On the 24th go to the beach after all your plants are watered and animals fed. At the beach you will enter the Sea festival(the easiest festival). To win you just rapidly press A in a constant motion. The prize can be various items including a pig trophy, Material, and various other items. At the end of the month clear your land again. Crops Tomatoes: cost-300g sell-90 Corn: cost-300g sell-120 Items found in nature Walnuts: sell-70g Tropical Fruit: sell- 40g Status Check 1st year At least two Sheep/Cow, at least nine feilds of grass, steady income. Should have brush, milker, and Clippers. ******** 7) FALL ******** Go to the flower shop and pick from the wide varity of seeds, (eggplant). I would by four and place them in the squares. In your spare time you guessed it chop wood. On the 4th of the month there is a cow festival that you can enter if you have a full grown cow. Before you leave for the festival make sure that your plants are watered (this festival is at Green Ranch). On the 12th there is the Harvest festival where you receive a cake from Ellie and if there is coin inside you will be the king for that year. On the 20th there is an Egg Festival (one of my favorites). In this festival you run through the town and look in the trash cans to find the mayors egg. On the 22nd the carpentor will ask you to help build a bridge. In the first year the 23rd through 27th after you have fed all of your animals go to the path that takes you to Moon Mountain and help the carpentor for an easy 1000g. On the 28th there is another Horse race. By the end of the month you should have a Green House built or are close to building one. Crops Eggplant: cost-300g sell-80g Items found in Nature Mushroom: sell-70g Poison Mushroom: sell- 30g Grapes: sell 40g Status Check 1st year Should have Green House, Horse should have come in the top two if you trained it well. ********** 8) WINTER ********** If you don't have a Green House yet the first seven days are very boring, so go chop wood to get enough for the green house. If you do have a green house go choose the seeds that you want and plant them in the Green House. On the eigth the mine behind the carpentors house (it's a crack in the stone) is open to the public so if don't have a Green House or have extra time take your Hoe and mine for minerals. On the tenth wait until the person you want to marry comes and brings you a cake. After she does go about your normal buiseness. On the 19th there is a dog race that you can enter your dog in, it is like the horse race although you don't have control of your dog. On the 24th stay up late and go to one of three places: The Curch (if you want to marry Ann, Ellie, or Maria), the Beach ( if you want to marry Karen), or the Forest (if you want to marry Popuri). On the 27th go to the town square at about 6 p.m. On the 30th once again stay up late and go to the bar for a party. Crops If you have a Greenhouse: Strawberry: costs- 500g sell- 150g. Any crop. Minerals: Iron Ore- sell 100g Moonlight Stone- sell 500g Blue Stone- sell 700g Rare Mineral- sell 1000g Status Check 1st year Should have enough MONEY to buy all of the exstensions. ********* 9) TIPS ********* 1. Buy the Green House as soon possible. I allows you to plant as many crops as you want and not take up time because it is inside. It also allows you to plant any crop at any time. 2. Buy the Kitchen Second it allow s you to save your vegtables and wild items. 3. Buy as many animals as possible because at the end of the third Spring your father will evaluate you and likes to see animals. 4. Go to Rick's after you buy an animal because there is probably a new tool. 5. Take your animals outside. They like it and they don't get sick if you forget about them. 6. Fish often your father likes this too. 7. DONT forget about your animals or it will end up costing you more money than you get out of it. 8. Ride your horse often and brush it. This will allow you to win most of the horse races. 9. Remodel your entire house before you father comes. 10. Try to get married ASAP your father likes this. ****************************** 10) LOVE/ REMODLING / RECIPES ****************************** The heart meter next to the possible wives indicate White: Indifferent Blue: Freindly Green: Flirtatious Yellow: Deep Affection Red: In Love When you are in love buy the Blue Feather and give it to your bride to be. I beilive that the Blue Feather arrives in the Spring of the third year. If it is not there I don't know what is wrong. Having Kids is nautral your wife will tell you that she is pregnant. Find in the mine. 7. Find on your farm.
