Version 1.1 - Added to setion 9 Professor Oak's Pokemons that you can
gain, Farfetch'd and Gligar, and also a thrid title screen. I didn't
though that by winning Stadium R-2 you could have a third title screen. It
was confirmed also that there's no Stadium R-3.

Version 1.0 - Although the walkthrough was done in almost an year if we
consider its start and final date, I didn't registered all the moments
step by step I made it due high time intervals. Because I got bored only
and thought on giving up of typing it, for more than two weeks I didn't
even played the game. Now in August for any reason I was cheered up and I
finished it, finally. Here is my walkthrough, ready and made.

Since Pokemon Stadium 2 was released I rarely play Pokemon Stadium 1
because the 2 accompanied the G/S/C sequence bringing new moves, Pokemons,
items and many innovations that Pokemon Stadium didn't had. If you played
Stadium, then if you play Stadium 2 you'll note how it is better and more
entertaining. I guess I won't make a Walkthrough/FAQ for Pokemon Stadium
1, even because the news on 2 made the 1 got simple and also because
Pokemon Stadium 1 is easy, although some stuff.

                                                                    ___

4.1. Changes from Stadium 1 41M
===========================

In this topic I'll figure out for you the changes occurred from Pokemon
Stadium to Pokemon Stadium 2. I won't include the changes that happened
from R/B/Y to G/S/C unless they occurred also between the Stadiums.

Well, the changes are the following:

#1. Pokemon Stadium 2 contains more Pokemons to you choose. Only Mew,
Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-oh and Celebi won't be rental.
#2. You have three different configurations to order the rental Pokemons
when choosing them. To alternate among the three press the C-Right
button. You set up the New Pokedex, Old Pokedex and alphabetic order.
#3. Pokedex, any of them, will have 4 Pokemons per line instead only 3.
#4. You can move the rolling bar faster than before by using the C-Up
    and C-Down buttons.
#5. When selecting a Pokemon in the Pokédex you can see info about any
of the moves in its moveset by pressing the correspondent C button
of the move you want to know.
#6. The gym leader towers won't have the pattern of three trainers and
the leader. Now the ammount of trainers varies and can even be
only one leader in the tower.
#7. Free-Battle, the place where you can battle with other human, has
more options, like the field and Cup type.
#8. Two new Pokemon types: dark and steel.
#9. New moves.
#10. After building up your team you can give a different berry to each
     one holds.
#11. It doesn't exist the Gallery anymore, you could take pictures there
     of the Pokemons. =(
#12. The city where the Stadium, gym leaders castle and other ways has
gained the name White City. Cool.
#13. No Hall of Fame in White City. =(
#14. My Room was added to city.
#15. Pokemon Academy is a new place added to city. There you can learn
almost everything in the game and G/S/C about Pokemon.
#16. The championship in Mini-Game got cooler because now the raffle
includes a die with faces which effects over amuse the game.
#17. Some moves have changed the type, like Bite that became dark,
Karate Chop that became fighting and Gust that became flying.
#18. The damage of some moves, like Double-Edge, Wing Attack and Dig have
     changed.
#19. The Accuracy changed for some moves, like for Blizzard, Whirlwind
     and Rock Throw.
#20. Light Screen and Reflect now lasts for 5 turns. They keep on even
     if user is switched out.
#21. The Special stat has splitted into Special Attack and Special
     Defense.
#22. Due the new stats Special Attack and Special Defense, Growth and
     Amnesia have now different effects.
#23. The way of trapping foes has changed. Finally!
#24. A Pokemon that have just wake up will execute the last move chosen
by owner. The same is available for one that have just thawed out.
#25. The Pokemons now have male or female gender or are ungender.

Any logical change I missed? Send me an e-mail.

4.2. Controls 42C
=============

Pokemon Stadium 2 follows the same controls configuration as its
predecessor, Pokemon Stadium, which are:

D-Pad - No analogical. To move onto different menus you just need to
used the D-Pad and there's no how setting up to analogical.

A - Used to confirm an option.

B - Back menus and do not confirm a selected option.

R - Allows you to see in full details the moveset of a Pokemon.

L - Function available only in battle. It returns the menus.

==================
4.3. Battle Screen 43T
==================

In battle you have what you could name as Battle Menu. You won't control
your Pokemon directly by making it execute moves one after other, but
you'll order a movement and will see what happens. Pokemon Battles are
turn-based.

Once you had chosen your team with 6 Pokemons, and after select 3 of them
to battle, confirm and the battle begins. Then after you see the entrance
of you and your opponent throwing the first Pokemon out you can see at the
side of the screen the following menu:
   ____________________________________________
  | 1P |(A)BATTLE /(B)POKEMON /(S)RUN /
  |-----------|------------------------------/
  | (Pokemon) |
  |LXX Nm G|
  |HP:--------|
  | XXX/XXX|
  |-----------|
  | =)|
  |---|
  ooo

Legend:
(POKEMON) - The name of the Pokemon. It'll be the nickname if it has one
LXX - The level of the Pokemon, XX is its value
G - It is the gender of the Pokemon, it can be male, female or ungender
HP - At the front is a bar indicating the amount of HP
XXX/XXX - Current amount of HP and maximum total of HP respectively
=) - The picture of your Pokemon
o - The Pokemons you have on team for this battle. The ones
that are fainted will have a X instead a Pokéball
1P - Indicates the name of the player

By now all okay, let's check out what strongly matters, the "Battle",
"Pokemon" and "Run" menus. To open the window behind any of these menus
just press the button shown on it. For example, to open the menu Battle,
press A button, to open the menu Pokemon press B button and to open the
menu Run press START button. Below the function of any menu:

 Menu Function

Battle Opening this menu you'll go to a screen where you choose
one of the moves of the Pokemon to be executed in that turn.
Each move is chosen by a different C button. To see the moves
that your Pokemon have in moveset, hold R button. To return
to battle menu, press L button.

Pokemon Opening this menu you'll go to a screen where you can switch
your current Pokemon in field for other. Choose the new
Pokemon that you want by pressing the button in its square.
To see the Pokemons that you have hold the R button. To return
to battle menu, press L button.

Run This menu allows you to get out of battle. Then you have to
confirm by selecting "Yes", or cancel by selecting "No".
Running of a battle will be considered the same as if you had
          lost it.

To check out in full detail about the move at Battle menu or about your
Pokemon at Pokemon menu, simply use the D-Pad.

4.4. Menus 44M
==========

I do not guess Pokemon Stadium 2 has lots of menus, at least more than its
predessor. I'll list them below quickly and the function of each one. How
to reach each of those menus is shown at the ASCII below, and it's not
hard to understand it.

                 /-> Battle Now
                 |
                 |-> Options
                 |
                 |
Title Screen --| /->Gym Leader Castle
                 | |
                 |               |-> Mini-Games
                 | |
                 |               |-> Stadium
                 | |
                 |               |-> Free Battle
                 |-> White City--|
                 |               |-> Pokemon Academy
                 | |
                 |               |-> Pokemon Lab
                 | |
                 |               |-> My Room
                 | |
                 |               \-> GB Tower
                 |
                 |
                 |-> Event Battle
                 |
                 \-> Mystery Gift

The Title Screen is that labeled with the huge "Pokemon Stadium 2" title
and where PRESS START keeps flashing. If you don't press START, or A
button which also is use, soon a battle will be loaded; you could watch it
for amusement. Pressing the START will take you to a place where five
options will be available:

Battle Now : Select the Marill and after whether the battle is 1 or
2 players, so it begins afterwards. That's why it's
named Battle Now. You'll have a built team and your
opponent, or player 2, also. It's not very funny once
the Pokemons you found in here are most of the times
the starters and other like Sandshrew, Mareep, Geodude,
and Teddiursa, for example. Besides that, their movesets
                 never change.

Event Battle : Selecting Sentret you'll go to this menu, where only
two players can battle. Each player must have a
Gameboy connected at N64 or they'll have acess only to
Challenge Cup. If both have Gameboy, then the Prime Cup,
Poké Cup and Little Cup will be accessible. You can
see the rules, which are the same of Stadium, or
create a Cup with your own rules by going at Edit Cup.

Options : Above Marill, there is the option that takes you to a
screen where you can set up the sound, the rules of
Battle Now and Event Battle and even delete all your
data, what I do not ever recommend.

Mystery Gift : You get an item with the girl at 5F in Goldenrod Dept.
Store. You need a Gameboy to do that like you could
notice because this place is in Goldenrod City.

White City : The best option of all. Selecting the Slowking you'll
go to a kind of city, White City. Here you have 8
                 options, which are listed below.

Gym Leader Castle - Defeat the 8 Johto gym leaders and Elite Four and
Champion. You can only go ahead if you win the gym leader tower you're
currently. Win everyone to gain access to Kanto gym leader towers. To
turn to their screen just press the C-Right button, and do that again
to return to Johto gym leader screen.

Mini-Games - No Pokemon battles here, but little games to distract and
amuse you, like races and items hunt, for example. You can select the
difficult, the number of players and also play a championship to gain a
 trophy or simply for amusement.

Stadium - Contains the biggest number of battles. Within you have the
Little Cup, Poké Cup, Challenge Cup and the Prime Cup. Each Cup has its
particular rules and although they brought rental Pokemons (the ones
offered by the game), except Challenge Cup, the ideal is that you
connect the GB in the N64 controller and use the team you built in Gold,
 Silver or Crystal.

Free-Battle - It's where you can battle simply to amuse against the
videogame or against humans. Lots of different ways to setting up here
allows you to play player 1 and 2 against 3, for example, and by the
way. Besides that the rules can be selected as well as the field where
the battle will happen, which are unlocked by winning the leader which
field is from the tower where the leader stays.

Pokemon Academy - Here you learn about Pokemon together Earl, the fat
man, and now it updates about moves, damages and types brought by the
second generation. To prove that you learned there are questions, Quiz
and practice tests with simulated battles. Very nice, you objective here
is taking a star at all lessons and learn as much as an Elite Four
 trainer would learn.

Pokemon Lab - It's accessible only if you connected the GB in the N64
controller. Once your GB has been connected, upon selecting the Pokemon
Lab you'll go to Professor Oak's laboratory, which will have options
that give you support for your Pokédex, organizing items, Pokemons and
even accomplish trades with other person that is with the Gameboy
connected in its N64 controller too.

My Room - Your bedroom is here. You can decorate it with items that you
bought. It even works only if your Gameboy is connected in your N64
 controller.

GB Tower - I never tested this option, but as all details indicate it
allows you to play your Gameboy here. I don't know whether the quality
will be the same as Gameboy or not. The name of this place will change
to Doduo GB or Dodrio DG depending on what you won.

4.5. Stats 45S
==========

I'll explain in this section which are the stats, although not very much
necessary, but I really need to explain to you understand it better. Stats
are the values that help your Pokemon execute a move and such. For
example, the higher is the Pokemon's Attack, more offensive it is. Below
the stats, see their functions.

HP - The HP shows you the Pokemon's healthy. When it goes down to zero
the Pokemon can't fight any longer, then it faints and must return
       to Poke Ball.

Attack - The damage caused by your Pokemon under the physical moves
which are normal, fighting, poison, bug, ground, rock, steel,
           flying and ghost.

Defense - Decides how much damage the Pokemon takes from a physical
            move.

Special Attack - The damage caused by your Pokemon under special moves
which are fire, water, grass, electric, ice, psychic,
                   dark and dragon.

Special Defense - Decides how much damage the Pokemon takes from a
                    special move.

Speed - The Pokemon with higher speed attacks first.

If a move has power base, then it works with the value of Attack or
Special Attack depending on the type it is. If you use a rock type move on
foe, the damage it'll take will be considered on your Pokemon's Attack,
the power base of the move and opponent's Defense. I don't know which
formula is used for this. Anyway, it doesn't matter.

4.6. Conditions 46C
===============

Do you use support moves often? It's a go mainly when you gives a special
condition to your opponent. Special Condition is when your opponent have
something that harms it because there's no beneficial special conditions.
Below all them:

Poison : A poisoned Pokemon takes 1/8 of maximum HP as damage
per every turn. There is also the badly poison, which
the damage doubles per turn, so it is 1/8, 1/9, 1/4,5
and by the way successively. To finish with this double
effect simply trade the Pokemon. Badly poison is caused
by Toxic, but it may come from other moves also, like
poison moves. Steel and poison type Pokemon won't
acquire this condition in any way.

Burn : A Pokemon with burn takes 1/8 of its maximum HP of
damage per turn. Besides that, its Attack is halved
as long as it's burned. A fire type Pokemon hardly will
acquire this condition. Any fire type move may cause
                 a burn on the target.

Paralysis : A Pokemon with paralysis have 1 in 4 chances of not
moving. Besides that its Speed is halved.

Sleep : This condition makes the Pokemon sleeps, it lasts for
2-5 turns. When waking up the Pokemon will execute the
last move ordered by its trainer.

Frozen : No Pokemon can be frozen if the field is sunny. A
frozen Pokemon thaws out within 2-5 turns. Any fire
move directed by a frozen Pokemon will release it from
the frozen condition. If it knows Flame Wheel it can
                 use it to release itself.

Fainted : It's the fainted condition acquired by a Pokemon that
have HP equal to 0. Fainted must be considered a
special condition once it's shown and once there are
moves that just inflict it, like Horn Drill, Guillotine
                 and Fissure.

The special conditions are marked in the screen, so you can know whether
your Pokemon has a special condition or not. This conditions may be
acquired once at a time, this means, a Pokemon can't have more than two
special conditions in the meantime, so it won't ever be with burn and
paralysis in the same time.

There are also the status conditions, which are like the special for
giving a negative effect to the target as long as it lasts, however it's
not marked and the Pokemon can acquire more than one at a time. You can
heal your Pokemon of these conditions by switching it (except Trap). Below
the status conditions:

Confused : A Pokemon in confusion has 50% chances of execute its
move and 50% of attacking itself. The damage caused by
the Pokemon in case it attacks itself depends on its
Attack and Defense. The confusion lasts 2-5 turns.
Supersonic, Swagger and Confuse Ray are example of moves
                 that cause confusion.

Attracted : A Pokemon that is attracted have 50% chances of not
attacking foe and 50% chances of execute its move. A
Pokemon gets attracted by other only if it is opposite
gender. This condition goes off if the attracted
Pokemon is switched or use Heal Bell.

Seeded : To let a Pokemon seeded use Leech Seed on it. 1/10 of
its maximum HP will be transferred to user at the final
of each turn. This condition never affects a grass type
                 Pokemon.

Trapped : Trapped. A Pokemon that is trapped can't be switched
for a set amount of turns or until foe Pokemon is
switched. Bind, Wrap, Perish Song, Mean Look, Fire Spin
and Whirlpool are example of trapping moves.

Curse : This condition is given to a Pokemon only if from a
those type. A ghost type that uses Curse will pay 1/2 of
its maximum HP to curse foe. A Pokemon that is cursed
loses 1/4 of its maximum HP per turn.

Nightmare : This condition can be given only on a sleeping foe
Pokemon. Use Nightmare to give it. As long as Pokemon
is sleeping it'll have nightmares and will lose 1/4 of
                 its maximum HP per turn.

Flinch : This condition happens in a turn and ends in the same
turn it occurred. When a may-flinch move is used on a
foe it won't move in that turn. Only a Pokemon that
attacks on second will acquire this condition. Example
of moves that may flinch foe: Bite, Headbutt, Twister,
                 Rock Slide.

Disabled : A Pokémon with this conditon can't use a move for the
next 2-6 turns. Use Disable on a foe to give this
                 condition to it.

Encored : By using Encore on a foe you give to it the Encored
condition. For the next 2-6 turns foe will keep using
the last move used by it.

You can associate a special condition with whichever status conditions and
handicap your foe to attack. For example, a Pokemon with paralysis and
confusion have 62,5% chances of not attacking. It's a high chance. See
below some cases and chances of foes to not attack:

- Paraconfusion: paralysis + confusion = 62,5%
- Paratract: paralysis + attract = 62,5%
- Atraconfusion: attract + confusion = 75%
- Paratraconfusion: paralysis + attract + confusion = 81,25%

If you insist on using a move that may flinch which chance is 1 in 3, the
most ones, see below the chances of a foe to not attack, of course, only
will be use if your Pokemon is the faster:

- paralysis + flinch = 50%
- confusion + flinch = 66,66%
- confusion + attract + flinch = 83,33%
- paralysis + flinch + confusion + attract = 87,5%

Combining conditions is strategy for a defensive Pokemon once that when a
condition is given to a Pokemon you lose a turn, which may be enough to it
hurts half or more of your HP. Therefore, if your Pokemon have high Attack
or Special Attack, associating conditions is harm if you can faint your
foe without the help of them.

4.7. About Moves 47A
================

This topic will say some stuff about moves. Move is what your Pokemon
execute to hurt foe or cause any harm on it. In Library and when choosing
your Pokemon you can have an info about the move. Each move contains the
following info below:

Power: If the move causes damage on foe, a power would be here, also
named as power base. The higher it is, the more damage it'll cause
on foe, so stronger the move is.

PP: Means Power Points, it's the amount of times the move can be used.
1 PP is spent per each time you use a move, regardless whether it
hits foe or not. If the Pokemon runs out of PP in all the moves,
    then it'll use Struggle.

Accuracy: The accuracy of a move is the chances of hitting a target,
          which varies from 0 to 100. 100 doesn't mean that it'll always
hit because the foe may evade it whether its Evasion is high or
even in its normal value. The nearer of 100, more accurate is
          the move.

Those are the three main features of moves. Note also that they may have
an additional effect, which would be in the effect of the move. Some moves
does not have any effect, like Wing Attack, for example. Below the main
effects you'll find out on Pokemon moves:

Giving Conditions: Conditions can be given by the using of moves that
cause damage, but it's a chance of that happen.
Fire Blast, for example, has 1 in 3 chances of
causing burn on foe. Ice type moves may freeze,
electric type moves may paralyze,... Some moves
won't have this chance, like Acid.

Altering Stats: The additional effect of most of the moves is altering
stats, but not straight, but by a chance it has. It's
the case of Steel Wing, which has 1 in 10 chances of
                raising user's Defense.

Recoil Damage: Some moves require rather much physical effort from
attacker to be executed that even the attacker hurts
itself. Then, a percentage of the damage caused on foe
is given back to attacker. Ex.: Take Down, Double-Edge,
               Struggle.

Weather: The weather of the battle can affect some moves. Once the
weather was changed, some moves will have different effects
setting certain Pokemons on advantage and other ones on
disadvantage. The moves that alter weather are Sunny Day,
         Rain Dance e Sandstorm.

2-5 strikes: Although the move has a low power base, some moves are
accomplished between 2-5 strikes at a turn, then the
final damage becomes nice and higher the nearer of 5 it
             strikes.

Set damage: This kind of damage is caused by moves regardless of
user's Attack and Special Attack because they have set
damage. It's the case of Dragon Range that always inflicts
40 HP of damage whatever type the foe is. We have also the
moves which damage is based on attacker's Level, which is
            the case of Night Shade.

The effects above are the main ones you'll find out. We have moves with
exclusive effects, which is the case of Transform, Conversion, Baton Pass
and others.

Now that you know what a move is and its features besides the main effects
it may have, it's in the moment to go deep in this subject. The moves are
divided in three big groups, which are:

Offensive moves cause some damage on foe, like Hydro Pump, Thunderbolt,
Night Shade and Earthquake, for example.

Defensive moves give condition to foes or lower their stat, like Screech,
Toxic, Mean Look and Thunder Wave, for example.

Support moves raise your stat, gives your protection or heal you of
something like Reflect, Swords Dance, Withdraw and Double Team, for
example.

Using support and defensive moves help very much. I thoroughly made a
section only about support moves, which is the next section.

=============
4.8. Supports 49C
=============

The support moves heal you from bad effects and raise your stats. Below
are some protections you could turn on during battle. I put them because
some people have trouble on understand what they are:

Focus Energy - Use Focus Energy to raise your chances to cause a
                 critical hit on foe.

Light Screen - Use Light Screen and on next 5 turns any special move
from foes will cause half of the damage they usually
                 would do.

Mist - Prevents the stats increase on next 5 turns.

Reflect - Use Reflect and on next 5 turns any physical move from
foes will cause half of the damage they usually would do.

Safeguard - Use Safeguard to avoid any of your Pokemons to acquire
status or special conditions on next 5 turns.

There are also the moves that raise stats, which I will not include here
because they're many. But I can explain how they work. When a stat
increasing move is used, then in battle the value of such stat is
multiplied by 3/2, if it is lowered, then it is multiplied by 2/3.

Ex1.: A Grimer with Defense 100 has used Harden, which raises Defense.
Just multiply 100 by 3/2, then 100 x 3/2 = 150. The new Grimer's Defense
is 150.

Ex2.: A Grimer with Defense 100 used Acid Armor, which raises the Defense
in 2. The Defense is multiplied by 9/4, then 100 x 9/4 = 225. The new
Grimer's Defense is 225.

Ex3.: A Pokemon has used Leer on Grimer with Defense 100. Leer lowers
Defense. The Defense is multiplied by 2/3, then 100 x 2/3 = 67. The new
Grimer's Defense is 67.

Ex4.: A Pokemon has used Screech on Grimer with Defense 100. Screech
lowers the Defense in 2. The Defense is multiplied by 4/9, then 100 x 4/9
= 45. The new Grimer's Defense is 45.

As you could see, the stat of the Pokemon changes considerably. Using
support moves help to win, but remember that you likely stays idle for a
turn to your foe and if you still raising your stats on next 3 turns, it
could be turns enough to your foe faints you down. Other thing is that
using moves that raise/lower stat in 2 is a lot better than using moves
that raise/lower stat in 1, then prefer Acid Armor instead Harden because
Acid Armor raises in a turn what Harden does in two.

======================
4.9. Multiplier Factor 49F
======================

What you're going to read within this section can be learned at Classroom
of the game, however I included it here with my own words because that's
very useful and most of this info neither I could discover by myself along
all my game play experience. I read this at Classroom of the game, not in
any website. First of all, multiplier factor is the bonus gained by a move
when it's going to hit foe Pokemon.

Every time a Pokemon uses a power base move which type is equal to
the Pokemon's type that is using it, then the power of the move will
   be multiplied by 1.5.

This is named STAB (same type attack bonus). For example, Bubblebeam is a
water type move with power base equal to 60. If used by a water type
Pokemon, it's power will be multiplied by 1.5. Then, the damage will be
like a move with power base 90. Therefore, when choosing rental Pokemons
have preference for those ones which moveset contains moves with same type
of its users.

If the type of a power base move is used on a Pokemon which type is
on disadvantage, then the damage is multiplied by 2. If the type of
power base move is used on a Pokemon which type is on advantage,
then the damage is multiplied by 0.5.

This is what we call as in advantage and in disadvantage. Suppose that you
have a Pokemon with Flamethrower (fire type move). Your opponent is a
Bulbasaur (grass type Pokemon). Using Flamethrower on Bulbasaur will make
Flamethrower's power base be multiplied by 2, it'll caused what we call
super effective damage. Why? Because fire type is on advantage to grass
type.

Suppose now that you used Water Gun (water type move) on Bulbasaur (grass
type move). As the grass type takes few damage of water type moves, then
the damage will be not very effective. So Water Gun's power is multiplied
by 0.5, which lowers to half. As Water Gun's power is 40, then it would be
20 of power base if used on a grass type Pokemon.

If the foe is immune to the type of move that is being directed to
it, the power base move will not cause any damage, so the multiplier
   factor will be 0.

If you used a move which type is the immunity of foe Pokemon, for example,
using an electric type move on a ground type Pokemon, the move won't hit,
so the multiplier factor is 0. The same is valid if you try to use a move
on a double type, it just needs one of the types to be immune to that move
does not hit.

Now an example about the multiplier factor for the double types. You know
that some Pokemons have double types, so they could use two type of moves
with STAB. A grass/poison type Pokemon, for example, could use grass and
poison moves and each one of them will have the power multiplied by 1.5.

Suppose that you used a fire move on a grass/poison type Pokemon. Fire is
super effective on grass, fire causes normal damage on poison, so 2 x 1 =
2, then the damage of that fire move is multiplied by 2.

Now suppose that you used a fire move on a foe grass/bug type Pokemon.
Fire is super effective on grass and also super effective on bug, so 2 x 2
= 4, then the damage of this move is multiplied by 4, that means,
quadruplicated. The opposite
can occur also, a not very effective move is used on a foe which both
types resists, so 1/2 x 1/2 = 4, then the damage caused is 1/4 of it would
cause.

Balancing the types is also good. Suppose that you have a water/electric
type, Chinchou and Lanturn. Electric moves are supper effective on water
type while not very effective on electric type, if you use an electric
type move on Chinchou or Lanturn, the damage will be normal because 2 x
0.5 = 1.

Another multiplier factor is the case that your Pokemon causes critical
hit. Critical hit is a doubled damage that doubles the damage the attack
would usually do. Any move may cause critical hit, some moves however have
this chance higher than others. You can raise the chances of your Pokemon
causing a critical hit by using the Focus Energy.

To illustrate what would be a big damage is the following: you used a STAB
move on a foe Pokemon with double type and it was critical hit. So the
multiplier factors would be 1.5 x 4 x 2 = 12!. The move will cause 12
times it usually would do. Then a move with power 100 would cause actually
like its power base was equal to 120. Making the Pokemon hold the right
hold item would make this damage goes higher.

                                                                    ___

5. Pokemon Academy                                            5PA |==o==|
=================================================================  \___/

Pokemon Academy is an excellent place with good monologues about Pokemons,
types, moves, damage and else. Here you can learn a lot of stuff.
Remembering the game happens after R/B/Y line, so there's much references
and a great prominence to the news. Upon entering on Pokemon Academy
you'll see a fat boy at the right side of the screen, that's Earl, he's
the owner of this academy. At the screen will be two options, "Classroom",
our objective, and "Library", a glossary.

============
5.1. Library 51L
============

The Library works like a glossary where the only thing you doe is look for
Pokemons, items and moves among other stuff to read and understand. Before
go in the Classroom you could give a look on Library, and also battle a
big, only by that you understand all the themes found within Classroom.
Although the Library of the game contains much info, I'll include in this
topic only the ones which will be useful for you in the game. Before
anything else, I won't include the menus within the Library once it's very
easy understanding them.

=================

=================

You're in good advantage if you could let your Pokemon hold one of the
items below, whatever it is, no one of them is supplied by Pokemon Stadium

5.1.3. Damage Chart 51T
===================

To know which type causes how much damage in what type, below I put the
damage chart. For example, fire type (represented by Fi in the left
column), causes super effective damage on grass (the symbol 2) and not
very effective damage on water (see the symbol H). Easy, huh? This chart
is identical to the one found in Library. I didn't put the double types
damage chart, however.

4.2. Classroom 52C
==============

Classroom is the place where you learn about Pokemon. That's why it is a
classroom. Including this class about battles, moves and other stuff was
essential for whom didn't known the versions R/B/Y in the time it was on.
The knowledge acquired here are not applied only on Pokemon Stadium 2 as
well as in the G/S/C versions either. When selecting "Classroom" you'll go
to a screen where you can see three columns, see what each one do:

Lecture: Selecting Lecture you'll go to a screen with many titles
and subtitles. Choose a subtitle to read some info and at
the final of it you can accept to answer a question about
what you've read. If you choose the right answer, that
subtitle will gain a star symbol. When all the subtitles
gain a star then you gain a star on Lecture and it's
considered that you're ready to Test.

Test: The tests are in the Test column, which is divided in two.
The first test is a Quiz which you have 10 questions and
must score 10 correct answers. The second test is a battle,
the cooler tests of all, and these battles are used to teach
very much to whom doesn't know anything. Winning Quiz and
            VS you gain a star.

Medal: Once you had concluded the Lecture and Test, then you gain
a medal. Gaining a medal in the Trainer Class Room you can
go to the line below, the Gym Leader Class, and winning it
you can go to Elite Four Class. Each room has its own
            Lecture, Quiz and Tests.

For the more hard of believe it seems I'll help you to pass through this
academy. It's very funny, although it's going to be long. Below is the
ASCII of Classroom chart and the order I'll guide you along it to we have
it totally filled.

 /------------+-----------+-----------+-----------\
 | Class | Lecture | Test | Medal |
 |------------+-----------+-----+-----+-----------|
 | Trainer | | | | |
 | Class | | | | |
 |------------+-----------+-----+-----+-----------|
 | Gym Leader | | | | |
 | Class | | | | |
 |------------+-----------+-----+-----+-----------|
 | Elite Four | | | | |
 | Class | | | | |
 \------------+-----------+-----+-----+-----------/

The order will be this:
                            _
 Trainer Class x Lecture |
Trainer Class x Quiz Test |---- You gain Pichu medal
Trainer Class x VS. Test _|
                              _
Gym Leader Class x Lecture |
Gym Leader Class x Quiz Test |---- You gain Pikachu medal
Gym Leader Class x VS. Test _|
                              _
Elite Four Class x Lecture |
Elite Four Class x Quiz Test |---- You gain Raichu medal
Elite Four Class x VS. Test _|

Well, I think you understood and noticed that each class have its own
Lecture, Quiz and VS Test. In Quiz you have 10 questions and need to score
8 points. On VS Test you have simulated battles and you need to win them
with the right Pokemon to gain a star. If you win using the wrong Pokemon
you'll gain the symbol of a flame.

----------------------------Trainer Class VS-----------------------------

-Camper Cole-
Pokemons: Growlithe, Pidgeotto, Beedril
It does not matter the order you start off, any of your three Pokemons
will be in advantage against Cole's grass type Pokemons. If you noticed,
your Pokemons also have only one move in moveset, which is the one that
you must use, which will be super effective on grass. Nice!

-Super Nerd Melvin-
Pokemons: Miltank, Furret, Stantler
Starting off with Miltank's Rollout you have only to wait some turns to it
gets effect. Although you have super effective moves on fire, your
Pokemons are all normal type and won't resist to fire like a water type,
but nothing else you can do as you have only a move in each Pokemon...

-Schoolboy Carson-
Pokemons: Hitmonlee, Bellossom, Magmar
Fighting, fire and grass, they're supposed to win Carson's team. It may be
necessary switching out, after all his team is diversified near the two
trainers you defeated previously. To help, Bellossom win Donphan and
Golem, Magmar win Scizor and Steelix, Hitmonlee win Umbreon and Sneasel.
This doesn't impede you to use Magmar to defeat Sneasel, or Hitmonlee to
defeat Golem, etc.

-Swimer(M) Clayton-
Pokemons: Dragonair, Murkrow, Pinsir
Clayton will raise its Pokemon's Defense by using Barrier or Acid Armor,
then using physical moves will not be so much effective. The Pokemons you
have to use contain set moves, which as coincidence will cause damage
equal to user's Level, then it doesn't matter how much higher is foe's
Defense.

-Youngster Jonathan-
Pokemons: Croconaw, Delibird, Aerodactyl
The trick here is avoiding Solarbeam and Skull Bash by using Fly or Dig.
Once that all your correct Pokemons are faster than Jonathan's Pokemon
then you just need to use them. To escape of Solarbeam or Skull Bash in
the turn it is directed to the target, which is the second turn, is the
turn that you have to fly up skyward or dig a hole underground.

-Picknicker Cyndy-
Pokemons: Granbull, Lickitung, Fearow
Cindy will raise her Pokemons' Special Defense. Then it'll get more
protected from special moves, but the Defense is still the same and you
can attack normally. By this way you defeat her team by using only
physical moves.

-Lass Nancy-
Pokemons: Eevee, Noctowl, Golbat
Nancy has the strategy of using Double Team, which raises the Pokemon's
Evasion making foe to have lower chances of hit her. You can defeat her
using Eevee's Swift, which never misses. Also, Noctowl can make foe's
Evasion back to normal with Foresight, and Golbat with Haze. This will
probably be the longer battle by now.

---------------------------Gym Leader Class VS---------------------------

-Pokemaniac Joseph-
Pokemons: Lanturn, Gastly, Raichu
Winning Joseph may seems a bit hard when actually all depends on a bit of
luck. What is common among your Pokemons is that they associate more than
a condition, what will make foe has lower chances of attacking you.

-Kimono Girl Naomi-
Pokemons: Primeape, Poliwhirl, Politoed
Knowing that Naomi always begins with Murkrow and following Gastly, the
ideal is that you launch Primeape and after Poliwhirl. No much trouble in
this battle unless that you have to use the moves of your Pokemon along
the items they're holding onto.

-Lass Tammy-
Pokemons: Mareep, Wooper, Spinarak
Winning this battle requires effectiveness type knowledge and also some
switch tricks, mainly switches because for each Pokemon of your team you
have a foe which is easily defeated like a foe that will aslo defeat you
easily. Start off with Wooper and from Magcargo on, go beating down with
the other Tammy's Pokemons.

-Youngster Dustin-
Pokemons: Magneton, Seadra, Aerodactyl
He already give a tip that he'll use only Fly or Dig. The best you could
do is starting with Magneton. It doesn't matter if it'll be effective or
not, since you know manage your move to hit foe Pokemons, you'll win this
battle.

-Schoolboy Nolan-
Pokemons: Staryu, Mr. Mime, Jynx
Besides a high Special Defense Nolan's Pokemon will activate Light Screen.
Your only chance of winning it is by using physical moves, therefore the
Pokemons you must use are shown above. Jynx has the lower Attack, so
prefer using Staryu while it's alive.

---------------------------Elite Four Class VS---------------------------

-Cooltrainer Connor-
Pokemons: Pikachu, Cubone, Shuckle
Due the hold items, you have to have this team. Start off with Pikachu to
beat Gyrados down, as it will be the first Pokemon chosen by Connor. The
function of Shuckle here as I have noticed is acting like a target to
Hyper Beam. Yeah, that's it, Shuckle's high Defense was built for that.

-Cooltrainer Becky-
Pokemons: Scyther, Raichu, Raticate
Maybe the more complicated battle by know would be this. Becky will
elevate her Pokemon's Attack and use Hyper Beam afterwards. Your startegy
here isn't faint, nor to stay only with 1 HP, but use Endure for that.
Following use Reversal, which is stronger as lower as user's HP is.
Remember to use Agility to attack before.

-Juggler Ferris-
Pokemons: Poliwrath, Golem, Steelix
Start off with Steelix and defeat Dragonite. Following Tyranitar should
come, so switch for Poliwrath. The move combination is the secret for this
battle: Defense Curl before Rollout to cause double damage, traps foe with
Bind and use Toxic, and Mind Reader before each time you use Dynamicpunch
if you want to never miss.

-Swimer(F) Julian-
Pokemons: Jumpluff, Exeggutor, Houndour
Start off with Exeggutor and Stomp Starmie (and Staryu) because they'll
use Minimize. The fight is going to be cool. You depend on the weather
effect sunny to win while Julian turns the rain on. The main attack of
your Pokemons is Solarbeam and using it you can win her aquatic Pokémons.
Exeggutor does not know Solarbeam, but have Synthesis which effect goes
high on sunny and down on rain.

If you win all Elite Four Class line then you gain the Raichu medal.
Congratulations, you concluded all the lessons in Pokemon Academy and
should read a bit more what is in Library.

Stadium is located in the middle of White City. There you defeat a
sequence of 8 battles, gaining for any reason 1 badge per each battle,
which will render you nothing. Your objective is conquering all the
trophies, each time you win a Cup you gain a trophy of that cup. Little
Cup and Prime Cup have 1 trophy while Poke Cup and Challenge Cup give you
4 trophies, each one harder the its previous trophy in level ranks. Below
I'll help you with each battle based on the model below:

challenge of Pokemon Stadium 2 as it was in Pokemon Stadium 1. The Cups
are below and in subtopics in case there is more than a trophy. Each Cup
has also its own rules, and I put them below to you know.

Suggested Rental Pokemon Team
-----------------------------
Abra (Burnt Berry)
Chinchou (Mint Berry)
Mankey (Ice Berry)
Phanpy (Berry)
Charmander (Przcureberry)
Doduo (Bitter Berry)

1st. Battle
Trainer: Youngster Bernie
Team: Togepi, Omanite, Sunkern, Slugma, Squirtle, Mankey
Suggested: Mankey, Chinchou, Abra
Strategy: Starting off with Mankey's Cross Chop will put you good
advantage. Togepi and Omanite won't have any chance against Mankey.
Chinchou has a good effectiveness, in advantage against Omanite, Slugma
and Squirtle. to beat foe Mankey down you should use Abra's Psychic, which
after all does not find any resistance in this foe team.

2nd. Battle
Trainer: Picnicker Stacy
Pokémons: Igglybuff, Snubble, Meowth, Pidgey, Rattata, Teddiursa
Suggested: Mankey, Abra, Wooper
Strategy: This time Mankey is undismissable because its Cross Chop will be
super effective on 5 of 6 Stacy's Pokemons. There's no how not choosing
it, allas, as her team contain only normal types, Abra is also a good key
because its Psychic will strongly does damage. Wooper has Surf, which
cause a lot of damage although you will not even need it if use Mankey
correctly.

3rd. Battle
Trainer: Camper Grant
Pokémons: Chikorita, Totodile, Cyndaquil, Diglett, Chinchou, Bellsrpout
Suggested: Doduo, Abra, Chinchou
Strategy: Grant has a diversified team and playing elemental types is
risked. Starting off with Doduo have in mind that you're in a good way if
foe uses Swagger, then your Attack is raised 2 and your're cured off the
confusion due the Bitter Berry, so just beat the remaining Pokemons down.
That's what Grant likes, making foe becomes confuse. Your worst foe will
be Chinchou.

4th. Battle
Trainer: PokéFan Janet
Pokémons: Tyrogue, Paras, Geodude, Spinarak, Zubat, Sandshrew
Suggested: Abra, Chinchou, Doduo
Strategy: Keep using Abra's psychic and soon you'll be on top although you
find good opportunities of using Doduo and Wooper. Janet can incomode you
by raising the Evasion of her Pokemons because they know Double Team and
will use it. This is the easies battle.

5th. Battle
Trainer: Schoolboy Clark
Pokémons: Mareep, Ekans, Natu, Growlithe, Smoochum, Larvitar
Suggested: Charmander, Phanpy, Chinchou
Strategy: Since that your current foe isn't Larvitar, Charmander will be
okay here. I put it to beat Smoochum down mainly because she'll be a big
thorn at your feet. Charmander won't resist so much under her moves, but
in case it survive it'll help you to defeat other foes. Once Smoochum is
eliminated, in case Clark had chosen her, then Phanpy is safe to use
Earthquake for awhile while Chinchou take care of Natu and others.

6th. Battle
Trainer: SwimmerM Cora
Pokémons: Cleffa, Dratini, Hoothoot, Oddish, Wooper, Kabuto
Suggested: Abra, Chinchou, Mankey
Strategy: I suggest you to start with Abra, and keep defeating your foe
Pokemons with Psychic. In case Abra is defeated by opponent you could
decide which Pokemon is better, Chinchou or Mankey. It's not a hard battle
and your "worst" obstacle is Dratini and though you have not any ice type
move you have a powerful Cross Chop and Psychic.

7th. Battle
Trainer: Teacher Tina
Pokémons: Elekid, Sentret, Vulpix, Eevee, Scynther, Swinub
Suggested: Charmander, Mankey, Chinchou
Strategy: I would start with Charmander although some people would prefer
Chinchou due the effectiveness. Tina likes to be the first and that's why
she uses Quick Attack often. This battle is not hard, but I remember it
was hard for me because Charmander's Flamethrower missed twice in a row
for just luckless. What Charmander can't hang on, Mankey and Chinchou can
cover it.

8th. Battle
Trainer: Pokéfan Rex
Pokémons: Pichu, Gastley, Magby, Chansey, Poliwag, Abra
Suggested: Abra, Chinchou, Phanpy
Strategy: Starting with Abra you have a foe Abra as obstacle, which can be
barely defeated by Thief, and Chansey, due its high Special Defense. If
Abra do not hang on, you should switch out for Phanpy. Phanpy is perfect;
it knows Earthquake and can defeat 4 of 6 Rex's Pokemons in one hit. In
case Poliwag is brought into battle while Phanpy is being used, don't
hesitate on switching for Chinchou because Phanpy won't support water
moves from Poliwag in anyway.

Suggested Rental Pokémon Team
-----------------------------
Kadabra (Burnt Berry)
Machamp (Bitter Berry)
Magcargo (Berry)
Haunter (Przcureberry)
Quagsire (Mint Berry)
Skarmory (Ice Berry)

1st. Battle
Trainer: Bug Catcher Nelson
Pokémons: Ledyba, Spinarak, Caterpie, Weedle, Yanma, Venonat
Suggested: Skarmory, Haunter, Quagsire
Strategy: Please, don't lose this battle. Half of the time Nelson won't
hurt you very much, but I guess the most chosen ones are going to be
Venonat, Ledyba and Yanma. Skarmory's Fly is the key to you win, Skarmory
is fast and one hit will defeat any of these stupid bugs.

2nd. Battle
Trainer: SwimmerM Bruce
Pokémons: Golden, Seel, Staryu, Shellder, Remoraid, Poliwhril
Suggested: Kadabra, Machamp, Haunter
Strategy: Kadabra's Thunderpunch is enough to beat down everyone. In case
your Kadabra faints or such put Haunter on and give a show with Giga
Drain. I put Machamp not due the fact it knows Thunderpunch, but so
because it knows Submission, which will be also good.

3rd. Battle
Trainer: Hiker Chester
Pokémons: Machop, Onix, Graveler, Sudowoodo, Rhyhorn, Phanpy
Suggested: Quagsire, Machamp, Haunter
Strategy: Nothing difficult in this battle. Except Onix, the only
Chester's faster Pokemon than Quagsire, you'll lead off and win
continually with Surf, after all, it is super effective on his Pokemons
and it is STAB. Machop won't take super effective damage of Surf, but it's
not strong enough to hang this move on, two Surfs or Haunter's Giga Drain
will beat it down.

4th. Battle
Trainer: Supernerd Clifford
Pokémons: Magnemite, Haunter, Porygon, Flaaffy, Ekans, Electrode
Suggested: Quagsire, Magcargo, Machamp
Strategy: Lead off with Quagsire to win everyone, some in just a hit if
you use the right move. The biggest danger of all is Porygon due Swagger.
Magcargo will resist to almost all foe's moves and if you thought on using
Machamp, it is a good idea, but Porygon knows Psybeam. Stay calm because
Machamp hangs on to use Submission.

5th. Battle
Trainer: Beauty Alissa
Pokémons: Miltank, Snubble, Qwilfish, Corsola, Skiploom, Chansey
Suggested: Kadabra, Machamp, Haunter
Strategy: You have a good start-off with Kadabra because it's not in
disadvantage to any of Alissa's Pokemon. I don't grant you that Kadabra
will resist, it should cooperate to you defeat at least two or one of her
Pokemons. The other ones that it cannot defeat you can beat down with
Machamp or Haunter.

6th. Battle
Trainer: Burglar Jensen
Pokémons: Persian, Charmeleon, Houndour, Electabuzz, Quilava, Gligar
Suggested: Quagsire, Magcargo, Machamp
Strategy: Prepare your Quagsire and Surf, Surf, Surf in everyone, even
Persian and Dig on Electabuzz. I suggest Magcargo also due its type, which
grants it to resist a good part of moves that you'll find ahead. Don't get
scared that 4 of his Pokemons does not hold item because those ones know
Thief and he'll steal from your Pokemon the item it is holding, therefore
forget your precious berries here.

7th. Battle
Trainer: Boarder Claude
Pokémons: Delibird, Sneasel, Tentacruel, Tauros, Teddirusa, Vaporeon
Suggested: Kadabra, Skarmory, Machamp
Strategy: You don't imagine how Psychic will be good here, alhtough it
doesn't beat Claude's Pokemon in the first hit you can cause a good
damage. What Kadabra can't do Skarmory can finish. This battle is easy if
you simply know how to use your moves. It's the battle that better
candidates to the hardest by know.

8th. Battle
Trainer: Psychic Mason
Pokémons: Smeargle, Slowpoke, Raichu, Growlithe, Natu, Clefairy
Suggested: Quagsire, Machamp, Kadabra
Strategy: I suggest you to lead off with Quagsire because generally Mason
starts with Growlithe. From that on simply use the right type. Kadabra can
beat Slowpoke and Natu fastly while Machamp with Clefairy and Smeargle.
Raichu, which one we could consider dangerous, won't hang on more than two
Quagsire's Dig.

Suggested Rental Pokemon Team
-----------------------------
Kadabra (Burnt Berry)
Machamp (Bitter Berry)
Magcargo (Berry)
Haunter (Przcureberry)
Quagsire (Mint Berry)
Skarmory (Ice Berry)

1st. Battle
Trainer: Pokéfan Carmen
Pokémons: Pikachu, Meowth, Clefairy, Shuckle, Togepi, Mr. Mime
Suggested: Quagsire, Machamp, Magcargo
Strategy: Huh, dude, you get heavy by using Machamp here though at risk to
find Mr. Mime in forth. Magcargo will be okay with Fire Blast or Rock
Slide. Really, it's not a hard battle, but it requires a bit of knowledge
because Pikachu, for example, will use Dynamicpunch and Double Team in
case foe have immunity to electric moves.

2nd. Battle
Trainer: Youngster Wyatt
Pokémons: Ivysaur, Skiploom, Pidgeoto, Nidorina, Ditto, Heracross
Suggested: Skarmory, Magcargo, Kadabra
Strategy: Don’t scare with Wyatt’s team, you have the right Pokémons for
this battle. Your Kadabra can defeat Heracross, Nidorina and Ivysaur
before even they attack you with Psychic. Skarmory and Fly can detonate
Ivysaur, skiploom and Heracross while Magcargo can defeat Ivysauar,
Skipplom and Pidgeotto. We don’t know who’s the best to defeat Ditto
because it doesn’t have fix form, I suggest Magcargo.

3rd. Battle
Trainer: Firebreather Cliff
Pokémons: Rapidash, Magmar, Cubone, Ninetales, Furret, Vileplume
Suggested: Magcargo, Kadabra, Skarmory
Strategy: Cliff will put Sunny Day on field and your Magcargo can take
advantage of that to make Fire Blast damage better as well as attacking
your fire type foes with Rock Slide. Yes, we have Cubone which is a
threat, so I put Skarmory, which will resist to its moves. Kadabra is here
because its Psychic is fatal in Cubone, Vileplume and Furret. Generally
Cliff leads off with Rapidash and puts Furret in battle for any for his
fire type Pokemons that face off a ground or rock type foe. You don't need
much luck here in spite of it's essential.

4th. Battle
Trainer: Biker Dillon
Pokémons: Weepinbell, Ariados, Sandslash, Koffing, Dunsparce, Ampharos
Suggested: Kadabra, Quagsire, Machamp
Strategy: Any Pokemon Dillon has leading should fear your Kadabra, its
Psychic is super effective in 3 of his team. Machamp can take down
Dunsparce, and even its weak Fire Punch can be used on Weepinbell and
Ariados. Ampharos, your enemy, won't big a huge problem for Machamp.
Quagsire is in serious disadvantage against Weepinbell, but I put it do
you don't have difficult on beating Sandslash and Ampharos down.

5th. Battle
Trainer: Teacher Wolly
Pokémons: Ledyba, Kadabra, Aipom, Girafarig, Mantine, Dratini
Suggested: Kadabra, Skarmory, Machamp
Strategy: The regret comes over now on knowing that you do not have any
ice type on team, but we can pass over this. Now you've just encountered
your first dragon type foe Pokemon in this line of battles and it
shouldn't be so hard as the dragons are known. The dangers of this battle
are Double Team and Baton Pass. Then Skarmory's Swift becomes the most
useable move. Besides effectiveness and strategy it's good having in mind
the best moment to switch a Pokemon for other.

6th. Battle
Trainer: Sage Chen
Pokemons: Spinarak, Jynx, Haunter, Misdreavus, Murkrow, Zubat
Suggested: Kadabra, Haunter, Magcargo
Strategy: Really, just use your moves and you'll gain a Continue. Lead off
with Kadabra because you'll defeat within seconds 4 of 6 Chen's Pokemons
while Magcargo can defeat 4 of 6 also. Haunter is here due the other
Haunter and Misdreavus, it knows also Shadow Ball which is very effective
on both. This battle isn't hard and you won't lose. Don't give up also
because Jynx isn't playing.

7th. Battle
Trainer: Pokéfan Baxter
Pokémons: Sunflora, Lickitung, Lanturn, Magcargo, Octillery, Pineco
Suggested: Kadabra, Haunter, Machamp
Strategy: This team can scare you because up to now you have used Quagsire
a lot of times, but for this battle I don't recommend it. Kadabra is again
with Psychic, lead off with it. The cool of Haunter is that you can use
Giga Drain on Lanturn and Octillery, as well as on Lickitung although the
effect won't be so great. Who will show greatly will be Machamp with
Submission.

8th. Battle
Trainer: Pokémanic Pedro
Pokémons: Seadra, Pupitar, Nidoking, Raticate, Noctowl, Tangela
Suggested: Kadabra, Quagsire, Machamp
Strategy: Another battle which Kadabra leads off, I don't need to say that
Kadabra is your major Pokemon, unless foe is Noctowl or Seadra. I don't
think Kadagra will last much long, also because only no one of this team
will be defeated with only one hit of Psychic. Quagsire leads much well
also although has as danger Pedro's Tangela. Machamp won't be good against
Nidoking, therefore avoid they two to fight across.

Suggested Rental Pokemon Team
-----------------------------
Kadabra (PrzcureBerry)
Machamp (Bitter Berry)
Quagsire (Berry)
Skarmory (Ice Berry)
Magneton (Mint berry)
Exeggcute (Burnt Berry)

1st. Battle
Trainer: Bug Catcher Nelson
Pokémons: Scyther, Butterfree, Paras, Dunsparce, Heracross, Pinsir
Suggested: Skarmory, Machamp, Kadabra
Strategy: Let's go, more bugs however now you can't underestimate them
simply for the fact they're bugs because these ones are good and still
weak in a general view either for being in the first battle. We don't have
a fire type now, but we are still with Skarmory which Fly is enough to
defeat all them, even Dunsparce which isn't bug type. Machamp's Fire Punch
can help a bit, although it won't be the same if was from a fire type.

2nd. Battle
Trainer: SwimmerH Bruce
Pokémons: Dewgong, Poliwrath, Quagsire, Magneton, Kabutops, Slowbro
Suggested: Exeggcute, Kadabra, Magneton
Strategy: Kadabra have all your attention with Thunderpunch, after all for
now all your opponent's Pokemon are water type. They may put Rain Dance on
and in case they do, that's a help for your Magneton's Thunder not miss
(and opponent's too). Your Quagsire makes opponent's Magneton unusable,
besides it can beat Kabutops down. Exeggcute's Giga Drain is excellent to
defeat opponent's Quagsire and Kabutops.

3rd. Battle
Trainer: Hiker Chest
Pokémons: Golem, Donphan, Ursaring, Omanite, Forretress, Steelix
Suggested: Quagsire, Exeggcute, Machamp
Strategy: Do you have any doubt about these suggested Pokemons to beat
Hider Chest's team down? I don't consider Golem, Steelix and Donphan
danger because Quagsire's Surf and Exeggcute's Giga Drain are enough.
About Ursaring, you could use Machamp's Submission, which can also be used
on Steelix, Golem and Omanyte. Forretress, which can strongly be an
obstacle, takes quadruple damage from fire, so try Machamp's Fire Punch,
which in those conditions may cause a good damage. Hiker has Defense
Curl/Rollout as strategy and you have two things to disturb foe's Rollout,
which is a fighting type, Machamp, and Quagsire's Dig, which will force
Rollout to fail. Perfect! ;)

4th. Battle
Trainer: Supernerd Clifford
Pokémons: Ampharos, Corsola, Poyrogon2, Wobbuffet, Tentacruel, Skarmory
Suggested: Magneton, Quagsire, Exeggcute
Strategy: This may be a hard battle, also even because Clifford's team is
balanced and maybe you need to switch some times. No Kadabra's
Thunderpunch, you'll need to use it more than once and Kadabra isn't the
type of Pokemon that can take many hits. We could suggest Machamp for
Porygon2 if it wasn't for the Psychic it knows. Now with Wobbuffet, this
formidable weapon, you have to pay attention on foes to destroy them while
they're trying to destroy you. Corsola knows Mirror Coat as well.

5th. Battle
Trainer: Beauty Alissa
Pokémons: Miltank, Jumpluff, Persian, Lickitung, Mantine, Wigglytuff
Suggested: Machamp, Magneton, Kadabra
Strategy: Alissa usually leads off with Miltank, which loves to use Body
Slam. Machamp can defeat safely 4 of her 6 Pokemons, finding as threat
only Mantine's Wing Attack. Yes, Mantine is your bigger danger now and
just bet that Magneton's Thunder won't miss because you need it to defeat
Mantine that will try to use of all the ways Surf to stop you. Much luck
is necessary for this battle: Miltank's Body not paralyze you, Thunder
always hits,...

6th. Battle
Trainer: Burglar Jensen
Pokémons: Typhlosion, Houndoom, Magcargo, Dugtrio, Stantler, Gligar
Suggested: Quagsire, Machamp, Kadabra
Strategy: A battle that you really have to worry. A rock or water type is
recommended, defeating thus above half of Jensen's team. Though
effectiveness is all, there is Stanler, which is normal, and knows psychic
moves and else. Machamp will be okay, neither Gligar is a threat for it, I
know it is flying type, but it does not know any flying type move. Some of
Jense's Pokemons don't hold any item because they'll steal yours with
Thief.

7th. Battle
Trainer: Boarder Claude
Pokémons: Sneasel, Delibird, Blastoise, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Flareon
Suggested: Quagsire, Machamp, Magneton
Strategy: Quagsire won't take super effective damage, but probably will
receive Vaporeon's Surf and Sneasel's Ice Punch, which will be no good.
Machamp is the most-prepared perhaps, even it's in difficult on defeating
Vaporeon and Delibird. Indeed, Magneton's Thunder is your salvation here,
you know 70 Accuracy is doubful, but you need luck because Thunder needs
to hit twice to faint Vaporeon and Blastoise. I remember that I had luck,
my Magneton could defeat everyone, but of course, I hadn't faced Vaporeon
in this battle because that's your worst enemy, ever.

8th. Battle
Trainer: Psychic Mason
Pokémons: Kangaskhan, Hypno, Arcanine, Raichu, Smeargle, Xatu
Suggested: Quagsire, Machamp, Magneton
Strategy: Leading off with Quagsire is good, besides that using Amnesia
isn't a good strategy. Xatu holds Leftovers, due that acts quickly on
defeating it. Quagsire won't cause super effective damage on all foes, but
it can annoy most of them. Hypno and Xatu are the only threats for
Machamp. Use the right move and good luck with Magneton's Thunder, you
need it to hit.

6.2.4. Poké Cup - Master Ball 6PB
=============================

Suggested Rental Pokemon Team
-----------------------------
Fearow (Przcureberry)
Wobbuffet (Berry)
Machamp (Bitter Berry)
Steelix (Ice Berry)
Quagsire (Mint Berry)
Kadabra (Burnt Berry)

1st. Battle
Trainer: Pokéfan Carmen
Pokémons: Bellossom, Azumarill, Persian, Clefable, Togetic, Raichu
Suggested: Machamp, Kadabra, Quagsire
Strategy: This battle may get harder if you don't know what to do. Leading
off with Machamp is a plus because Togetic, though knowing Fly, will
prefer using Metronome than attacking you. Machamp attacks well Persian
and Clefable while Kadabra can look for Azumarill and Togetic. Quagsire
has Bellossom as the only major danger, and I hold it for Raichu
pricipally.

2nd. Battle
Trainer: Youngster Wyatt
Pokémons: Pidgeot, Nidoqueen, Ditto, Rattata, Pinsir, Primeape
Suggested: Kadabra, Fearow, Quagsire
Strategy: Generally Wyatt starts with Primeape, then start off with
Kadabra and use Psychic. You have Nidoqueen and Pidgeot yet to defeat if
your Kadabra is alive. Wyatt's Pokemon are holding excellent items which
put them in good advantage, I'm so sorry that you do not have any Pokemon
with Thief. The more important is beating all them down, Machamp will
cause good damage on Rattata and Ditto while Fearow can peck and scare
some foes.

3rd. Battle
Trainer: Firebreather Cliff
Pokémons: Magmar, Marowak, Dodrio, Houndoom, Exeggutor, Arcanine
Suggested: Quagsire, Machamp, Fearow
Strategy: Quagsire's only one obstacle is Exeggutor. When you face it, it
is pretty suggest a switch to Fearow because Quagsire have no chance.
Machamp and its powerful Submission are perfect to defeat fire Pokemons
together Quagsire's Surf and Dig. Dodrio, the flying, may seem the most
dangerous, but no problem. Surf on it, or Drill Peck and Toxic you faint
it within instants.

4th. Battle
Trainer: Biker Dillon
Pokémons: Weezing, Cloyster, Steelix, Rhydon, Venusaur, Arbok
Suggested: Kadabra, Quagsire, Machamp
Strategy: Of the three recommended Pokemons it doesn't matter which you
start off, anyone is at risk because Dillon's team is diversified. I
suggest you to start with Quagsire, but starting with Kadabra wouldn't be
a bad idea. Venusaur, Arbok and Weezing are easily defeated by Kadabra's
Psychic while Machamp can fight back with Steelix and Rhydon as well as
Quagsire.

5th. Battle
Trainer: Teacher Molly
Pokémons: Girafarig, Mr. Mime, Lapras, Aipom, Lanturn, Politoed
Suggested: Wobbuffet, Kadabra, Quagsire
Strategy: Molly will start off with a Pokemon that just uses stat raising
moves, and following will use Baton Pass to pass that increase for other
Pokemon. Considering that it may be an offensive Pokemon, which happens
most of the times, your bigger and best weapon is Wobbuffet. Know how to
use it correctly, not all depending on it, but most of your strategy so.
Due Wobbuffet she'll probably use Baton Pass unnecessary times. The
hardest is the Evasion, the much previously you can impede it to be
raised, better for you.

6th. Battle
Trainer: Sage Chen
Pokémons: Misdreavus, Crobat, Gengar, Jynx, Murkrow, Umbreon
Suggested: Kadabra, Machamp, Steelix
Strategy: Beginners or inexperienced trainers should apply and think
Chen's strategy good, but I grant that's not. His Pokemons will cause
poison or confuse your Pokemons, sometimes even both conditions. So, when
you're trapped and a condition is given, they'll use Protect, Detect and
rarely will attack. Only conditions are not able to defeat you, use the
most effective and stronger move you have in. Machamp is protected of
confusion thanks Bitter Berry, that's because you have to defeat Umbreon.

7th. Battle
Trainer: Pokéfan Baxter
Pokémons: Feraligatr, Typhlosion, Meganium, Granbull, Blissey, Hitmontop
Suggested: Machamp, Fearow, Wobbuffet
Strategy: This team scares me. Fearow is prepared to defeat Meganium and
Hitmontop, and can even intoxicate Chansey. Machamp will easily beats
Granbull down, and with some effort Feraligatr and Typhlosion. Wobbuffet
is on battle here again and you need more luck than previously.

8th. Battle
Trainer: Pokemanic Pedro
Pokémons: Aerodactyl, Machamp, Kingdra, Dragonite, Tyranitar, Charizard
Suggested: Wobbuffet, Quagsire, Machamp
Strategy: All depends on Wobbuffet. Start off with it, have luck on using
Counter or Mirror Coat because some Pokemons, like Dragonite for example,
have physical and special moves. If your Wobbuffet is fighting with
Tyranitar forget, it is better switching for Quagsire because Tyranitar's
Crunch more the Mirror Coat immunity will detonate your Wobbuffet quickly.
Besides Wobbuffet, have in mind that switching is good, so alternate
between Quagsire and Machamp when your current Pokemon was not race for
foe.

Suggested Rental Pokémon Team
-----------------------------
Articuno (Mint Berry)
Blastoise (Berry)
Misdreavus (Ice Berry)
Kadabra (Bitter Berry)
Primeape (Przcureberry)
Bayleef (Burnt Berry)

1st. Battle
Trainer: Lass Terry
Pokémons: Bellossom, Azumarill, Ampharos, Furret, Wigglytuff, Togetic
Suggested: Misdreavus, Bayleef, Kadabra
Strategy: Hear me, although this is Prime Cup, fighting with this girl
will be very easy. I suggest you to lead off with Misdeavus and Thunder on
everyone (except Bellossom and Ampharos). In case it faints, what might
happen, switch for Bayleef or Articuno. Yep, we have Azumarill and
Furret's Surf, but your Misdreavus should be up on defeating them with
Thunder or Bayleef can cover it with Razor Leaf. Articuno's Blizzard
should defeat most of them.

2nd. Battle
Trainer: Blackbelt Yang
Pokémons: Wobbuffet, Primeape, Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Hitmontop, Nidoking
Suggested: Kadabra, Articuno, Misdreavus
Strategy: Yang oderns his Pokemons to use Detect as much as they can. You
have a foe Nidoking that loves to use Horn Drill and a foe Primeape
holding an item that raises its Attack in 2, but makes it confused. Start
off with Kadabra and Psychic on. If Wobbuffet was used, I suggest you to
try paralyze it with Misdreavus' Thunder before trying to use Shadow Ball
because Wobbuffet will probably use Counter, so recover your HP with Pain
Split.

3rd. Battle
Trainer: Birdkeeper Adam
Pokémons: Charizard, Gligar, Aerodactyl, Fearow, Murkrow, Dodrio
Suggested: Blastoise, Articuno, Misdreavus
Strategy: Start with Blastoise because its Hydro Pump will cause normal or
super effective damage whether Charizard, Gligar or Aerodactyl were your
foes. Misdreavus has Thunder and Shadow Ball, but Thunder won't hit
Gligar. Articuno has as main weapon the Blizzard, if you run out of PP,
using Peck is barely your only option.

4th. Battle
Trainer: Cooltrainer Floria
Pokémons: Stantler, Hypno, Exeggutor, Clefable, Victreebel, Poliwrath
Suggested: Kadabra, Articuno, Primeape
Strategy: Floria wants to make your Pokemon falls sleep by all the ways.
Generally she starts off with Stanler or Poliwrath. The strategy here is
taking advantage of the fact that no more than 2 sleeping or frozen
Pokemon on team, therefore lead with Kadabra and if it is asleep, switch
for other. Select whether it's better Articuno or Primeape. Also, it's due
this battle that I put Articuno, his Blizzard and Peck can beat Poliwrath,
Exeggutor and Victreebel down, besides its flying part that grants
immunity to Stantler's Earthquake.

5th. Battle
Trainer: Fisherman Chase
Pokémons: Gyarados, Mantine, Lanturn, Quagsire, Dewgong, Dragonite
Suggested: Misdreavus, Bayleef, Kadabra
Strategy: Start with Misdreavus and switch for Bayleef in case your foe
were Quagsire or Lanturn. If Lanturn was the foe, then turn Safeguard on
because it'll use Thunder Wave. This battle has its own peculiarities,
then you need a bit of luck. Your bigger damage will be Misdreavus'
Thunder. Luck to it hit and Pain Split on much HP Pokemons like Lanturn,
Dewgong and Dragonite.

6th. Battle
Trainer: Scientist Craig
Pokémons: Forretress, Persian, Electrode, Sneasel, Crobat, Ninetales
Suggested: Misdreavus, Kadabra, Blastoise
Strategy: Once we don't have any ground type we can start off with
Misdreavus. Launch Thunder as much as you can and Pain Split to recover
your HP. The secret for this battle is luck because Carig will confuse
your Pokemon and after try to lower its Special Defense. While it uses
defensive moves what you have to use are offensive moves. If you wasn't
trapped, switching to cure off confusion is a good strategy.

7th. Battle
Trainer: Boarder Kathy
Pokémons: Jynx, Lapras, Slowking, Piloswine, Mr. Mime, Feraligatr
Suggested: Misdreavus, Primeape, Blastoise
Strategy: Kathy can start off with Mr. Mime to use Double Team several
times in a row and use Baton Pass after to pass for other allie all the
stat raising. It may also activate Reflect. That's dangerous. Slowking
holds Leftovers what makes it dreadful, then super effective moves.
Blastoise has a powerful Hydro Pump, but the best now is that no Pokemon
will hurt it with super effective moves. The only reason for Primeape is
that it can get rid of Lapras (and Piloswine also).

8th. Battle
Trainer: Cooltrainer Marty
Pokémons: Mew, Ursaring, Starmie, Umbreon, Muk, Tyranitar
Suggested: Misdreavus, Blastoise, Primeape
Strategy: Marty always start with Mew, and Misdreavus should use Pain
Split 2 times and after Shadow Ball. He'll switch for Tyranitar if it was
chosen, then I suggest you to put Blastoise and defeat it. The next
Pokemon that comes is HP to recover Misdreavus' health in case you're with
her at field, you weaken foe and may defeat it, or not. Primeape's Cross
Chop may fail, but you need it to defeat 3 of 6 Marty's Pokemon.

                                                                    ___

=================================================================  \___/

Defeating gym leaders is very harder than Stadium trainers, as hard as
Prime Cup. Here the topic was splitted in two and you have available on
your progress probably the first topic, where you find the castle of Johto
gym leaders.

==========
7.1. Johto 7LJ
==========

Here are where, in my opinion, the best battles happen because you defeat
gym leaders of Johto region at the same order in the version. Some towers
have very few trainers and although you don't need of 6 Pokemons, remember
that you're forced to choose 6 so due that I indicate more than just the
ones I'll suggest on battles.

Zapdos (Berry)
Graveler
Aerodactyl
Delibird
Blastoise
Dewgong (Mint Berry)

1st. Battle
Trainer: Bird Keeper Matt
Pokémons: Pidgey, Hoothoot, Spearow, Natu, Doduo, Pidgeooto
Suggested: Graveler, Zapdos, Aerodactyl
Strategy: For this battle you start with Graveler's Rollout and watch
Matt's defeat, or use Zapdos' Thunder. Thunder may fail, but it'll hit as
soon as possible before any foe has caused a damage strongly dangerous.

2nd. Battle
Trainer: Leader Falkner
Pokémons: Pidgeot, Farfetch'd, Noctowl, Delibird, Fearow, Togetic
Suggested: Zapdos, Delibird, Aerodactyl
Strategy: Put Zapdos as first because Falkner generally leads off with
Pidgeotto. You're in advantage with Thunder because Fly is one of
Falkner's favorite moves, though isolated the Pokemon may take hit. Other
thing is Mud-Slap, if you have a Pokemon in field which type is in
advantage to your flying type (electric, rock, steel, for example), then
it'll use Mud-Slap. All Falkner's Pokemons know it. You can avoid this
move because your suggested Pokemons for this battle are flying type.

Suggested Rental Pokémon Team:

Quilava (Berry)
Mantine
Graveler
Skarmory (Mint Berry)
Fearow (Bitter Berry)
Aerodactyl

1st. Battle:
Trainer: Bug Catcher Caz
Pokémons: Yanma, Spinarak, Shuckle, Rattata, Paras, Geodude
Suggested: Quilava, Mantine, Skarmory
Strategy: The only reason to Mantine be recommended is that Caz has a
Geodoude, and you is a threat for your team. Quilava can start off with
Rollout and get rid of everyone, or instantly with each one by using Fire
Blast. Skarmory doesn't take super effective damage of any Caz's Pokemons,
so you can use Fly safely. Pay attention on Paras, it knows Spore and will
use it if you give opportunity.

2nd. Battle:
Trainer: Twins Win&Lyn
Pokémons: Ledyba, Sunkern, Jigglypuff, Hoppip, Pikachu, Clefairy
Suggested: Quilava, Skarmory, Mantine
Strategy: Using Fire Blast is the better thing, even better than flying
moves because Jigglypuff's and Clefairy's Charm. I recommend Fly to
everyone except Pikachu, which can defend itself of flying moves. Graveler
is okay here, with Rollout or Earthquake. Just to use Earthquake against
Sunkern, I know it's a weak foe, but Earthquakeis in disadvantage to it.

3rd. Battle:
Trainer: Gym Leader Bugsy
Pokémons: Scyther, Butterfree, Beedrill, Weepinbell, Pinsir, Pupitar
Suggested: Aerodactyl, Quilava, Mantine
Strategy: Lead with Aerodactyl, Bugsy generally starts off with Scyther.
What protects Bugsy's Pokemons of a fire type is Pupitar. If Bugsy had
chosen it then it'll switch in case you're in advantage. It's not a hard
battle. Mantine will be okay by beating bugs and Pupitar down. And about
Quilava, I suggest to use Fire Blast.

Ariados (Berry)
Hitmonlee (Bitter Berry)
Baleef (Ice Berry)
Kadabra (Mint Berry)
Graveler (Burnt Berry)
Blastoise (Przcureberry)

1st. Battle
Trainer: Lass Lois
Pokémons: Teddirusa, Marill, Meowth, Phanpy, Poliwag, Snubbul
Suggested: Hitmonlee, Bayleef, Kadabra
Strategy: Starting with Hitmonlee keep with Hi Jump Kick. Poliwag knows
Psychic, but it won't cause any good damage on Hitmonlee, and in case
you're scared, switch for Kadabra and shoot some Psychic. I suggest that
Bayleef will be the great Pokemon here, it has three foes in disadvantage
and no one of the others are in advantage to it.

2nd. Battle
Trainer: Beauty Rita
Pokémons: Aipom, Mareep, Diglett, Ponyta, Remoraid, Sentret
Suggested: Hitmonlee, Blastoise, Bayleef
Strategy: Hitmonlee gets okay this whole team and with Kadabra nearby Rita
has no chance. Win her as quick as possible. Ponyta can annoy you with
Stomp, but it's plenty possible that Kadabra, being faster, can beat her
down before. Putting Hitmonlee against Remoraid would rather be no good
because this fish knows Psybeam.

3rd. Battle
Trainer: Leader Whitney
Pokémons: Miltank, Clefable, Wigglytuff, Gloom, Dodrio, Stantler
Suggested: Ariados, Graveler, Hitmonlee
Strategy: Whitney leads off with Miltank or Dodrio, most of the times
it'll be Miltank. To hurt her HP out, start with Ariados and lauch Toxic,
Protect, and alternate between Protect and Sludge Bomb. If Dodrio comes
right after, switch for Graveler and use Rollout and Selfdestruct when
your HP goes down near to zero. Hitmonchan can beat down Clefable,
Wigglytuff and Stantler by using Hi Jump Kick, and Mega Kick no Gloom.
Stantler knows Psychic, since your HP is green you can kick it, though.

Misdreavus (Berry)
Donphan (Mint Berry)
Skarmory (Ice Berry)
Quagisre (Burnt Berry)
Houndour (Przcureberry)
Donphan (Bitter Berry)

1st. Battle
Trainer: Medium Holly
Pokémons: Bellsprout, Hoothoot, Ledian, Ditto, Nidorina, Unown
Suggested: Skarmory, Magneton, Houndour
Strategy: Medium Holly has weak Pokemons if compared to your team and
Skarmory, as steel type, can resist to most of her Pokemon's moves. Look
out for Ledian, it'll turn Reflect, Light Screen and Safeguard on if you
let it, what will break any of your strategy, so Houndour’s Flamethrower.
Skarmory’s Fly. No, you shouldn't give free turns to Ledian active its
protections.

2nd. Battle
Trainer: Sage Ty
Pokémons: Zubat, Smoochum, Gastly, Golbat, Misdreavus, Haunter
Suggested: Skarmory, Misdreavus, Houndour
Strategy: The major danger of this battle is the fact that foe ghosts know
Curse. Starting with Skarmory you have advantage of finding Smoochum. Your
Misdreavus has a Shadow Ball and a Thunder which together get ride of
whole team of Ty, but remember that Pain Split needs to be used as well.
If you need Houndour then use Flamehtower or Crunch.

3rd. Battle
Trainer: Leader Morty
Pokémons: Gengar, Ariados, Sudowoodo, Marowak, Girafarig, Noctowl
Suggested: Houndour, Blastoise, Skarmory
Strategy: Houndour is an excellent choice, start with it, Morty generally
starts off with Gengar and it'll switch for other ally better, which
should be Marowak or Sudowoodo. Therefore you shouldn't keep Houndour
because it'll be defeated soon, then switch for Blastoise and raze your
foes. Skarmory will be okay here again.

Zapdos (Bittery Berry)
Kadabra (Pzcureberry)
Jumpluff (Ice Berry)
Mr. Mime (Berry)

1st. Battle
Trainer: Black Belt Nick
Pokémons: Hitmontop, Nidorino, Dugtrio, Hitmonlee, Seaking, Rhyhorn
Suggested: Zapdos, Jumpluff, Kadabra
Strategy: Dugtrio and Seaking are your WORST enemies because they have
OHKO moves, and if you don't know what they are, those moves inflict the
fainted condition for your Pokemon in only one hit. Jumpluff is grass
type, very fast and immune to Dugtrio's Fissure while Zapdos has Thunder,
which can avoid Seaking. Kadabra's Psychic can get ride of the rest of the
team. Luck is your ally in this battle.

2nd. Battle
Trainer: Leader Thuck
Pokémons: Poliwrath, Granbbul, Machoke, Hitmoncham, Sandslash, Primeape
Suggested: Mr. Mime, Zapdos, Kadabra
Strategy: All Thuck's Pokemons know Dynamicpunch. He'll order to this move
be used, even if not very effective because his goal is making foe become
confused. Take advantage, all your Pokemons suggested for this battle
resist to fighting type moves. With Mr. Mime I won his three chosen
Pokemons, obviously, Dynamicpunch failed, but I had prepared Barrier and
used it twice besides the Substitute, which received damage in lower
amount and prevented me from confusion. I suggest you to switch for Zapdos
in case your psychic find Granbbul because its Shadow Ball.

Starmie (Przcureberry)
Wobbuffet (Berry)

Machamp (Burnt Berry)

1st. Battle
Trainer: Leader Jasmine
Pokémons: Steelix, Corsola, Magneton, Mantine, Skarmory, Forretress
Battle: Starmie/Staryu, Wobbuffet, Machamp
Strategy: Although there is only one trainer in this gym, the leader, this
battle can be considered the hardest by now. One of the basic things
Jasmine likes to do is switch its current Pokemon for other if your
current Pokemon is a type in advantage to hers. Therefore, here we're off
using STAB moves although some are inevitable. You have to switch, and try
to foresee when Jasmine will switch, so prepare a move to the Pokemon
she's going to bring into battle. With Starmie I could win her whole team,
of course, Zap Cannon didn't miss when I need it for pure luck I have
always been. =)

Steelix (Ice Berry)
Misdreavis (Mint Berry)
Kadabra (Berry)
Hitmonlee (Bitter Berry)
Fearow (Przcureberry)
Dragonite (Burnt Berry)

1st. Battle
Trainer: Rocket Grunt (Homem)
Pokemons: Geodude, Koffing, Pineco, Graveler, Weezing, Electrode
Suggested: Steelix, Misdreavus, Kadabra
Strategy: In case this Rocket Grunt's Pokemon don't have a super effective
move, they'll switch for other better or use Selfdestruct or Explosion.
Starting off with Steelix you grant, your Mud-Slap or Iron Tail to
detonate these Pokemons. I doesn't interest how much Selfestruct or
Explosion is used, Steelix's Defense is high enough to abide those damage.
The good of Misdreavus is its immunity to both moves type.

2nd. Battle
Trainer: Rocket Grunt (Mulher)
Pokemons: Murkrow, Drowzee, Spinarak, Dunsparce, Zubat, Houndour
Suggested: Misdreavus, Steelix, Fearow
Strategy: Any of the Pokemons of this Rocket Grunt will use Toxic and
following will protect itself by using Protect or Detect. It is in the
turn those moves are going to fail that you have to attack. Don't lose
your time, or switch your poisoned Pokemon because that's the only way to
cancel the duplicated damage per turn effect. Misdreavus' Thunder to hurt
and Pain Split to recover your lost HP. Steelix is immune to Toxic for
your good. Fearow will be good with Hyper Beam, mainly because you have
few turns to attack.

3rd. Battle
Trainer: Executive Admin
Pokemons: Sneasel, Muk, Licktung, Vileplume, Raticate, Arbok
Suggested: Dragonite, Hitmonlee, Kadabra
Strategy: No strategy to defeat this Executive Admin. She has prepared her
team with good Pokemons, good movesets and STAB moves. All her Pokemons
know Frustation and this move will be used in case there's no any better.
With Hitmonlee you can get rid of Lickitung and Raticate. We have
Dragonite, if you need it, use Fly.

4th. Battle
Trainer: Executive Admin
Pokémons: Houndoom, Golbat, Persian, Misdreavus, Victreebel, Wobbuffet
Suggested: Hitmonlee, Misdreavus, Dragonite
Strategy: The biggest Pokemon of this guy is Houndoom, because it knows
Flamethwoer and Solarbeam. If Victreebel activates Sunny Day then gets
worried. To avoid that Dragonite's dragon part can hang on for a while,
besides the use of Fly, which will make Sunny Day runs off faster for you
as reference. Hitmonlee needs only a bit of luck to Mega Kick hits when
Hit Jump Kick was not very effective. If you don't know using your
Misdreavus very well, foe's one will teach you how to.

Suggested Rental Pokemon Team:

Wartortle (Mint Berry)
Raichu (Berry)
Staryu (Burnt Berry)
Wobbuffet (Bitter Berry)
Misdreavus (Ice Berry)
Blastoise (Przcureberry)

1st. Battle:
Trainer: Boarder Alvin
Pokémons: Seel, Swinub, Shellder, Smoochum, Kingler, Flaaffy
Suggested: Raichu, Wartortle, Staryu
Strategy: It shouldn't be hard defeating Alvin because his Pokemons adore
to use Power Snow, which is weak, and Endure, which will annoy you a bit
for a while. All his Pokemons are at first stage, thefefore low base
stats. A Thunder and Earthquake will get rid of all them. Your bigger
enemy is Kingler, but it is rather weak to faint by a Thunder. Flaaffy is
another danger for you, not because it's strong but because you have 3
water type Pokemons, so defeat it with Wartortle's Dig or Staryu's Hydro
Pump could that being risked.

2nd. Battle:
Trainer: Skier Carol
Pokémons: Delibird, Azumarill, Cubone, Qwilifish, Dratini, Seadra
Suggested: Staryu, Raichu, Wartortle
Strategy: Carol has a good strategy, first her Pokemon uses Icy Wind which
main objective is lowering your Speed and although the damage is little,
following her Pokemon uses Headbutt. It attacks first and you may fail
your turn by flinching. Due that Raichu is prepared to paralyze foe with
Thunder Wave and also attack first with Qucik Attack although using
Thunder on 4 of her 6 Pokemons is the better option. For the else foes
(Cubone and Dratini) use Wartortle’s Icy Wind, a weak move, but super
effective.

3rd. Battle:
Trainer: Leader Pryce
Pokémons: Piloswine, Dewgong, Cloyster, Ursaring, Donphan, Jynx
Suggested: Wobbuffet, Raichu, Staryu
Strategy: Start with Wobbuffet and use Counter or Mirror Coat. Good
Pokemons are these Pryce has in team and as rental Pokemons are bad most
of them, your better way is dealing damage back. Staryu can defeat some
and Raichu also, but if Wobbuffet doesn’t defeat at least 2 (at least 1),
you’ll have lot of trouble. Ursaring has a powerful Thrash while Jynx
won’t give chance for any of your Pokemons. Staryu’s Hydro Pump, if
doesn’t miss, can beat Piloswine down in 2 hits and Donphan and just 1
hit!

Wobbuffet (Ice Berry)
Dragonair (Burnt Berry)
Quagsire (Bitter Berry)
Skarmory (Przcureberry)
Machamp (Berry)
Dewgong (Mint Berry)

1st. Battle:
Trainer: Cooltrainer Gloria
Pokemons:
Suggested: Skarmory, Dragonair, Machamp
Strategy: Gloria wants to give to your Pokemon the stats Sleep it doesn't
matter what. For that she'll count on Sleep Powder or Sing. Skarmory is
protected of all her Pokemons, including the normal types which now
doesn't have moves like Fire Blast, Blizzard and Thunder. Skarmory may
sleep for some turns, but will wake up and damage with Fly. In case it
faints, your foe is in disadvantage to Dragonair's Fire Blast or to
Machamp's Submission.

2nd. Battle:
Trainer: Cooltrainer Vince
Pokemons: Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander, Chikorita, Totodile, Cyndaquil
Suggested: Machamp, Dewgong, Dragonair
Strategy: A nice battle. The basic strategy of Vince is the types
advantage. Since your Pokemon's type isn't in advantage to his, Vince
won't switch. This guy has a team formed only by the basic starts and
although the base stats aren't so high they have good moves though. The
advantage and effectiveness are the secrets.

3rd. Battle:
Trainer: Leader Clair
Pokemons: Kingdra, Ampharos, Dragonair, Rhydon, Arcanine, Lapras
Suggested: Machamp, Wobbuffet, Dewgong
Strategy: Machamp won't present any disadvantage for any type, so starting
off with it you can defeat the great Lapras, but I suggest Wobbuffet
instead because Lapras knows Psychic. Worry about Arcanine and Rhydon
mainly. I remember that when I played my Wobbuffet defeated 2 Pokemons of
this team and if it wasn't for it I hadn't passed this gym. Wobbuffet
sucks.

Suggested Rental Pokemon Team:
------------------------------
Electabuzz (Mint Berry)
Fearow (Burnt Berry)
Misdreavus (Bitter Berry)
Kadabra (Przcureberry)
Hitmontop (Berry)
Wobbuffet (Ice Berry)

The berries we strongly need are Bitter and Przcureberry. Wobbuffet is
your major weapon and using it requires a bit of luck very necessary to
beat Elite Four. Using several teams I concluded that the team above is
the best to use. Even for some that understand a lot of Pokemon would
rather get trouble on using these rental Pokemons, then if you're a
beginner play a bit for a while until you get the way because these
battles you're going to have ahead won't be easy.

1st. Battle:
Trainer: Will
Pokemons: Xatu, Kadabra, Girafarig, Clefable, Exeggutor, Jynx
Suggested: Electabuzz, Misdreavus, Wobbuffet
Strategy: The horror of this battle are the special moves used by foes. As
Electabuzz is the first, turn Light Screen on. You should keep it on field
unless Will switches for Girafarig, which knows Earthquake and can beat it
in one hit. Misdreavus has Shadow Ball, which in spite of being super
effective on psychic type will find some trouble due the second type of
some foes. Wobbuffet is still your major weapon and the worst foes to you
come across are Xatu, Jynx and Exeggutor.

2nd. Battle:
Trainer: Koga
Pokemons: Venomoth, Ariados, Golbat, Gligar, Electrode, Muk
Suggested: Fearow, Electabuzz, Kadabra
Strategy: As Koga's strategy is raising the Evasion as long as foe is
poisoned, dealing back moves won't be good, therefore Wobbuffet will stay
in the Poké Ball now. Each one of the Pokemons I suggested has a function.
As generally Koga starts off with Electrode, then launch Fearow as first
and use Toxic, so switch for Electabuzz afterwards. Koga can start off
with Muk also, then switch for Kadabra, turn Reflect on and Psychic. As
long as your foe uses Double Team you have several turns to your move hits
the foe, though hardly.

3rd. Battle:
Trainer: Bruno
Pokemons: Machamp, Golem, Kangaskhan, Blastoise, Heracross, Onix
Suggested: Hitmontop, Wobbuffet, Kadabra
Strategy: My dude has weaknened in this battle because his Pokemons aren't
so strong as they seems. The best want to faint all them is dealing damage
back. Kangaskhan and Blastoise are the most inaccurate foes you can have
to deal any move back because they have physical moves as well as special
moves. When playing with Kadabra, turn Reflect on in case your foe is
Machamp.

4th. Battle:
Trainer: Karen
Pokemons: Umbreon, Victreebel, Murkrow, Magmar, Gengar, Vileplume
Suggested: Fearow, Kadabra, Misdreavus
Strategy: The hardest battle you'll have is against Karen, she loves to
give special and status conditions. I never saw she starting off with
another Pokemon unless Umbreon, then choose Fearow and use Toxic. Umbreon
will use Confuse Ray ever and Attract if possible, and Gengar with the
same strategy. While Vileplume uses Stun Spore, Magmar will use Attract.
Kadabra can get rid of any poison type as well as Murkrow with its flying
part. Misdreavus has Shadow Ball, but I think Pain Split and Thunder will
be more useful, even if you're against Gengar.

5th. Battle:
Trainer: Champion Lance
Pokémons: Dragonite, Tyranitar, Charizard, Aerodactyl, Steelix, Gyarados
Suggested: Hitmontop, Wobbuffet, Misdreavus
Strategy: Dragonite, Tyranitar, Aerodactyl and Gyrados knows Hyper Beam.
Hitmotop can take one hit while Wobbuffet can take 2, if you can counter
those moves you'll win Lance quicker than you'd imagine. Misdreavus with
Pain Split, but it gets critical using this move so Thunder becomes better
even if your foes are Charizard, Aerodactyl or Gyrados. Luck on
retaliating moves, that's what you need. Trick: do not use Wobbuffet
against Tyranitar, Crunch won't be retaliated because Tyranitar is immune
to Mirror Coat type move. It's good using Hitmontop as first because
generally Aerodactyl or Tyranitar are the first. Using Wobbuffet won't be
easy once Gyarados, Dragonite and Tyranitar have special as well as
physical moves.

By winning Lance you gain clear way to Kanto gym leaders. Congratulations,
it was a hard work up to here.

7.2. Kanto 7LK
==========

Upon winning Elite Four and Johto Champion you gain access to Kanto gym
leader tower, where each badge in the monument is the entrance for you
fight with a Kanto gym leader. There's no an order to you go following,
for example, defeating Blaine before Brock, what would be impossible at
Gameboy. Also, there won't be a rental team, just three suggested Pokemons
because there's no any trainer before, you'll go straight to the fight
against the leader, then no reason to I suggest a team with 6 Pokemons if
you always will have to use 3, although the game forces you to choose 6.

Gym: Pewter
Leader: Brock
Speciality: Rock
Team: Onix, Golem, Omastar, Pinsir, Forretress, Kabutops
Suggested: Kadabra (Berry), Quagsire, Machamp
Strategy: Very easy. Start off with Kadabra the first thing you shall do
is turn Reflect on and use Thunderpunch on Kabutops and Omastar and
Psychic in any other foe. In some moments you'll feel will to use Quagsire
due its Surf, which beats Onix and Golem, besides Machamp, which
Submission is super effective in 4 of 6 Brock's Pokémons.

Gym: Cerulean
Leader: Misty
Speciality: Water
Team: Starmie, Togetic, Golduck, Sunflora, Poliwhirl, Quagsire
Suggested: Staryu (Berry), Misdreavus, Venusaur
Strategy: Most of the times Misty leads off with Starmie and depending on
your Pokemon type it'll use Rain Dance and will alternate between Surf and
Thunder. As all her Pokemons are aquatic and rain will be put on, take
advantage to make your Staryu/Misdreavus' Thunder hit. The only good thing
on Venusaur is its Giga Drain, if it's not very effective (foe is Togetic
or Sunflora), then Venusaur becomes unusable.

Gym: Vermilion
Leader: Lt. Surge
Speciality: Electric
Team: Raichu, Lanturn, Electabuzz, Electrode, Porygon, Magneton
Suggested: Wobbuffet, Donphan, Piloswine (Berry)
Strategy: The best now is your advantage because it doesn't matter with
Pokemon Lt. Surge switches for, no one is immune to ground type moves
(there's no flying type) and 4 of them take super effective damage of
ground. This won't be hard. If you can defeat one or two Pokemons with
Wobbuffet, whichever remains Donphan and Piloswine can defeat with
Earthquake, even Lanturn and Raichu, who knows Surf.

Gym: Celadon
Leader: Erika
Speciality: Grass
Team: Bellossom, Tangela, Venusaur, Chansey, Jumpluff, Vaporeon
Suggested: Fearow (Mint Berry), Politoed (Berry), Ivysaur
Strategy: Fearow's Drill Peck is exellent to beat all grass types and
Toxic will help against Chansey and Vaporeon. Vaporeon however, knows
Rest, Sleep Talk, Bite and Surf, it'll be your worse enemy to defeat. My
strategy to get ride with it is using Ivysaur's Leech Seed and switch for
Politoed afterwards, who would trap, use Swagger or Perish Song. NO
problem using Swagger because Vaporeon doesn't have any physical power
move. I suggest you to start with Fearow, but switch for Ivysauyr if
Vaporeon is your foe.

Gym: Fuchsia
Leader: Janine
Speciality: Poison
Team: Crobat, Ariados, Weezing, Stantler, Gligar, Tentacruel
Suggested: Politoed, Magneton (Berry), Kadabra
Strategy: Besides trying to poison, other conditions like confusion and
attract will be given to make you losing turns while poison is killing
your Pokemon. Janine is Koga's daughter so such alike strategy. There's no
much to say, unless that you need a little luck. Paralyze as much foes as
you can with Magneton and Politoed's Perish Song carefully. Kadabra is
your bigger swepper, 4 Janine's Pokemon are in disadvantage to it.

Gym: Saffron
Leader: Erika
Speciality: Psychic
Team: Alakazam, Mr. Mime, Hypno, Wigglytuff, Furret, Slowbro
Suggested: Umbreon (Berry), Misdreavus, Murkrow
Strategy: This is the only place of the game where you'll see Umbreon's
moveset be worth a bit, and practically Faint Attack only. Misdreavus
should use Shadow Ball, if you want, risk Thunder on Slowbro. Erika orders
the use of Future Sight if it wasn't used, and as it's known after 2 turns
the foe takes the hit, causing always normal damage even a dark type like
Umbroen is at risk to take hit.

Gym: Ciannabar
Leader: Blaine
Speciality: Fire
Team: Rapidash, Ninetales, Parasect, Flareon, Octillery, Magcargo
Suggested: Mantine (Berry), Donphan (Ice Berry), Wobbuffet (Mint Berry)
Strategy: Blaine will turn Sunny Day on and attack with Fire Blast.
Mantine is here due its Waterfall, and Wing Attack for Parasect. Octillery
is one or your worst enemies, against it Donphan's Earthquake or Mantine's
Wing Attack. Rapidash is Blaine's most used Pokemon, it's pretty fast so
be faster because 2 Fire Blast are enough to beat your Pokemon down, so
you have just a turn to attack that horse.

Gym: Viridian
Leader: Blue
Speciality: Varied
Team: Pidgeot, Alakazam, Rhydon, Gyarados, Exeggutor, Arcanine
Suggested: Houndour, Mantine (Przcureberry), Wobbuffet (Berry)
Strategy: I could't had suggested better rental Pokemons. Start off with
Houndour. Houndour can look for Alakazam and Exeggutor while Manitne can
take care of Rhydon and Arcanine. Wobbuffet can attack all them! A
balanced and varied team like this is a big challgenge ever, but not for
Wobbuffet, who has always been a loyal partner.

Once you had won the eight Kanto gym leaders you can fight with a
mysteryous trainer, Red. A new way to its room will be opened, you'll
notice that in the screen.

Trainer: Pokémon Trainer Red
Speciality: Varied
Team: Meganium, Feraligatr, Typhlosion, Jolteon, Scizor, Tauros
Suggested: Wobbuffet (Przcureberry), Magneton, Donphan
Strategy: I would suggest a better team for Ash, like Kanto-only Pokemons
instead Johto. Anyway, this battle won't be very interesting. Although
your main weapon is Wobbuffet you need Magneton and Donphan. Starting with
Wobbuffet, get rid with two foe Pokemons. Magneton is good agains
Feraligatr and Sziror while Donphan is good against Jolteon. Wobbuffet is
highly recommended to defeat Feraligatr, Typhlosion, Tauros and Meganium.

                                                                    ___

8. Mini-Games                                                 8MG |==o==|
=================================================================  \___/

I won't write in full details this part of Pokemon Stadium 2. In the Mini-
Games you find little games to play, like Mario Party series. Here you
distance a bit of Pokemon battles and can forget a bit of that simple A, B
and START menus. Upon you enter you can see four options:

Play A Mini-Game : Play one of the Mini-Games. Select the number of
                       players afterwards.
Mini-Game Champion : The same thing as before, the difference is that
you set up the number of players that a player
would have to be the winner. You gain an amount
of players to win a Mini-Game.

1P Quiz : For 1 player only. Answer a sequence of questions
and break your bigger record. Per each wrong
answer you gain a lost of 10 seconds.

Quiz for All : Questions like before, however only 2-4 players
can participate and who mistakes won't play on
next turn. Here each question have 10 seconds and
the first to score 10 points is the winner.

Below are the mini-games listed from left to right and the info about them
like what to do and controls. The difficulty will make some dangers get
bigger before assiduous enemies. Upon selecting a minigame you can see the
controls, press START button to start.

-Gutsy Golbat-
In the cave 4 Golbats flying. Win who has more hearts at the final of it.
To get a heart just touch it, but don't get granted because you may drop
some hearts whether a foe Golbat tackle you or if you touch a wild
Magnemite.

  Controls:
  Analogical - Move
  A - Fly

-Topsy Torvy-
In this circle field your objective is hit foe Hitmontop out of the ring.
for that just hit it, use the A button to use the Rapid Spin. Beat 5
enemies out of the ring and you win.

  Controls:
  Analogical - Move
  A - Spin

-Clear Cut Challenge-
Regardless of you're a Scyther or a Pinsir your objective is the same, cut
the nearer of the line marked in the stub. When Spinarak pulls it up then
it'll hold it off, then press A button to use Cut and see afterwards where
you hit. Points below the line are positive and as high as near they're of
the line. Above the line, however, they'll be negative.

  Controls:
  A - Cut

-Furret's Frolic-
Probably the most confusing mini-game. See that your Furret is looking
forward its field of same color. The function of your Furret is hit the
ball to it go into your field side, then you gather points. The bigger is
the ball more points it gives.

  Controls:
  D-Pad - Move
  A - Hit

-Barrier Ball-
Your objective here is simply. Hit the ball back and hit foe's corridor to
earn a point while you protect your corridor because if a foe enter in you
lose a point. Score five points to sin. Press A button to reflect the ball
with higher speed.

  Controls:
Analogical or L/R - Move the mirror
  A - Hit

-Pichu's Power Plant-
This mini-game isn't so different like the Pikachu of Pokemon Stadium.
Here there are only Pichu and besides the A and B buttons you have to use
the D-Pad as well. When the lamp lights up, hold the D-Pad of same
direction and tap the A button if the lamp is blue or tap the B button if
the lamp is green. The first to charge wins.

  Controls:
  D-Pad - Direction
  B and A - Charge

-Rampage Rollout-
A race game, they're the cooler ones. The first Donphan to complete 9 laps
wins. Here you can gain up to 3 clouds depending on your position. They're
used to you put a whirlwind in the field like it was a trap, making to
spin whom touches it.

  Controle:
  D-Pad - Direction
  A - Put the whirlwind

-Streaming Stampede-
The objective in this game is easy, you have just to count. While Pokémons
are passing in the front of Igglbuff/Clefabble you have to press the A
button in the exact number of times equal to the Pokemons that passed on.
Pay attention to all them. Soon you'll see how much had passed and you
gain a score correspondent to your accuracy.

  Controls:
  A - Count

-Tumbling Togepi-
A race game. Here your objective is run southward, there the goal line is.
There should be obstacles in the way and speed pulsers also. It's knowing
where to step and to deviate that you'll win.

  Controls:
  D-Pad - Run

-Delibird's Delivery-
You objective is getting presents and take them to the machine on top.
Each present is worth different points, therefore get the most valious to
earn more poings. The more you get, bigger your sack gets and slower you
gets too. Up to five presents can be carried on. In the middle of the
field there are some Swinubs getting across, if one run over you lose all
the presents you had in the sack.

  Controls:
  Setas - Corre

-Egg Emergency-
My favorite mini-game. The much eggs you get, high chances of you become
the winner. Depending on the dificult you set up even Voltorbs will fall
downward. Avoid them because when a Chansey get a Voltorb she loses 5
eggs. On total 100 eggs will fall onto each Chansey.

  Controls
  L - Tilt to left
  R - Tilt to right

-Eager Eevee-
Chair dance style. When Aipom opens up the lid dash to get the fruit.
Press A button to dash. The B button is used to you fake a dash. Aipom
will open the lid once per each the 5 turns. The fruits give different
points. If you beat in the
Pineco you lose 1 turn. Get the higher score to win.

  Controls:
  A - Dash
  B - Fake a dash

                                                                    ___

Somethings can be unlocked in Pokemon Stadium 2. See them below.

===================
9.1. Dodrio Gameboy 9DG
===================

Win Elite Four and Champion to gain Doduo Gameboy, which allows you to
double the speed of the game by pressing C-Right button.

double the speed of the game by pressing C-Right button.

9.2. VS Rival 9VR
=============

If you played G/S/C you know that you had a rival like in R/B/Y versions
which your rival was Gary. By winning Champion of Johto gym leaders
castle, Red and getting all the trophys on Stadium, the White City will
get dark like it was at night and at the side of GB Tower will be a new
cave where inside is Rival lying. He wants a battle and you have to accept
to continue.

 POKÉMON BATTLE
 Trainerr: Rival ???
 Team: Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-oh
Suggested: Wobbuffet, Misdreavus, Zapdos, Dewgong, Raichu, Umbreon

He has a team with three legendaries and your option is the same for most
of the trainers, then not much to do with rental Pokemons. The best is
that you can use 6 Pokemons against his 3 ones. The ones suggested by me
are shown above and using them is that a task and much. Below I wrote the
strategy in topics, you do not need to do them in order, but simply to you
find a conclusion on how using them depending which enemy you have on
action:

o Mewtwo, Lugia and Ho-oh know Safeguard. One of my strategies with
this suggested team is giving the Paralyzed condition to how many
foes I could by using Raichu's Thunder Wave. Besides that, Raichu
knows Thunder which is super effective on Lugia and Ho-oh, but
probably they'll use Earthquake which will instantly defeat Raichu,
so the best thing you can do is tryin Paralyze Mewtwo if nobody
in its team has used Safeguard in 5 turns ago. They'll activate
Safeguard at every moment, then those turns are a good to your hurt
them with Thunder and any other electric type move.

o Wobbuffet is your major weapon. He'll defeat mostly Ho-oh and Lugia
with any of the moves you deal back. Wobbuffet can abide no more than
2 moves and if you're lucky, three, therefore using it to defeat
Lugia and Ho-oh is strategy. Misdreavus stays with the work to beat
Mewtwo down by using Pain Split and Shadow Ball, however she'll
faint before, then Raichu and Umbreon should finish.

o Zapdos have the powerful Thunder, which besides the STAB will cause
super effective damage on Ho-oh and Lugia, therefore you should use
it because Zapdos is immune to ground type moves due its flying part.
Thunder may miss, but if hit it'll cause a good damage. Once Zapdos
is legendary you can balance the features for your advantage.

o The function of Umbreon here is causing a bit of damage on Mewtwo and
lowering its Lugia's or Ho-oh's Accuracy by using Sand-Attack, no
problem if you use Umbreon only for a turn. Dewgong knows Waterfall
what will be super effective on Ho-oh, however not enough to beat
it down and cause super effective damage. He knows also Aurora Beam,
which can be used on Lugia, not too strong.

o Most of the times Lugia will use Aeroblast, then Wobbuffet should
use Counter. Ho-oh will use Sacred Fire, then Mirror Coat.

By winning the game you'll see an animation which all the 251 Pokemons are
shown and following the credits. Soon you'll see a screen that you have to
press A button, Professor Oak will give you a Pokemon.

=====================
9.3. New Title Screen 9NT
=====================

By winning your rival the game is reseted. When you reach the title screen
you can see there are no longer the starters and company Pokemons, but so
a new title screen with a new wallpaper which the starters are in the
third stage. Cool!

====================
9.4. Stadium Round 2 9S2
====================

Stadium R-2 Stadium Round 2, is unlocked by winning Rival. This is the new
option you have. It's like a new adventure to defeating all the Stadium
and gym leaders again, with little changes in general on the Pokemons. The
game gets a little bit harder.

You can turn Stadium Round 2 on as well as off and go back to participate
on the previous Stadium without losing the option to get to Stadium Round
2. To do that, before going in White City you can notice that above
Marill's head is the option of choosing Stadium R-1 and Stadium R-2,
select which one you want by pressing C-Right button in that screen.

I will not make a walkthrough for Stadium 2 because it was like defeating
all the Stadium 1 again, however with evolved Pokemons and a bit different
retained to the ones you had encountered. Maybe a new possible update I
could include Stadium Round 2. Below is an example of the first trainer at
Poké Cup in Stadium, Bug Catcher Nelson.

 Pokémons in Stadium R-1:
Ledyba, Spinarak, Caterpie, Weedle, Yanma, Venonat

 Pokémons in Stadium R-2:
Yanma, Scyther, Ledian, Kakuna, Ariados, Weepinbell

As you can see, the difference of Bug Catcher Nelson's team in Stadium R-1
is a bit different of the one he has in R-2, but it's still very alike.
Ledyba, Spinarak and Weedle has evolved. He has no longer Venonat and
Caterpie, but Scyther and Weepinbell so. If I had suggested a team, it's
pretty possible that I would change one or two Pokemons due this.

Although it seems that few is changed when Ledyba is substituted by
Ledian, for example, this makes the game becomes harder once that rental
Pokemons will still the same and winning Stadium Round 1 was tough, then
it should be pretty hard winning Stadium R-2.

Stadium R-2 includes new battles only. This means that Pokemon Academy
will still the same as it was in R-1.

===================
9.5. Oak's Pokemons 9OP
===================

Per each time you win your Rival you gain a Pokémon from Professor Oak.
This Pokemon can't be used directly in the Stadium, you have to pass it to
Gameboy firstly. This Pokemon, although can be found in G/S/C, contains a
move in moveset that in no way you could acquire in the GB.

For the first time you win your rival in Stadium R-1 you gain a Farfetch'd
with Baton Pass. For the first time you win your rival in the Stadium R-2
you gain a Gligar with Earthquake. Both Pokemons are good, I don't use
them, though.

=======================
9.6. Third Title Screen 9TT
=======================

You can even have a third title screen. This one is alike the cartridge
cap, Lugia and Ho-oh are crossed in take-off position. You acquire it by
winning your rival at Stadium R-2. Your battle against your rival is still
the same, his team hasn't changed, and the way to reach it is the same
like before.

                                                                    ___

10. FAQ                                                       1F0 |==o==|
=================================================================  \___/

Q.: How can I give a berry to my Pokemon hold?

R.: After choosing the sixth Pokemon of your team you have a menu with the
"OK", "Register" and other options, take the last one, "Change Item". It
allows you to give items for your Pokemon hold. The game offers only those
berries.

Q.: Won't you make a walkthrough for Stadium R-2?

A.: No I won't because R-1 drained from me all my energy and I think the
main thing on Stadium is the R-1. If you could reach R-2 is a proof that
you can win the Stadium by yourself.

Q.: Where is GB Tower?

A.: In White City look for a building in the south, that's GB Tower. Its
name changes to Doduo Tower if you gained Doduo Gameboy, and it'll change
to Dodrio Tower when you gain the Dodrio Gameboy.

Q.: What is rental Pokemon?

A.: Rental Pokemons are those borrowed by the game to you build your own
team in case you hadn't built it at Gameboy to use, what would be ideal.
In general, the rental Pokemons are bad. When you connect a Gameboy in the
N64 controller you can notice that in the screen after the title screen,
your N64 controller with the symbol of a cartridge, you'll be able to use
those Pokemons on Gaemboy, it doesn't matter from your team or PC.

Q.: How to insert the Gameboy?

R.: Actually you insert the cartridge of the game, which is where your
progress stays saved. But as most of people says Gameboy, then that's how
I say too. You insert the cartridge in the posterior part of the N64
joystick, where is a way
and a entrance for the cartridge.

Q.: What are the best rental Pokemons of this game?

R.: They're the Pokemons I have been suggested along the cups and against
some gym leaders. If you didn't accompany here is some of them: Kadabra,
Bayleef, Quagsire, Skarmory, Raichu, Fearow, Misdreavus, Houndour,
Dewgong, Dragnair, Machamp, Blastoise, Charmeleon, Exeggcute, Staryu,
Primeape, Electabuzz and Wobbuffet.

Q.: Wobbuffet's moves never work when I use it. Why?

R.: Wobbuffet will always have the same moveset: Counter, Mirror Coat,
Safeguard, Destiny Bond. It's the patience Pokemon, it doesn't attack,
only gives back received moves, that means Wobbuffet needs to take hit to
cause damage on foe, there fore is important you taking hits to cause
damage instead simply taking hits. Wobbuffet is the major weapon to win
the hardest trainers of this game and below how to use its moves.

Counter - Give back in double damage if taking a damage of a physical
move, which are bug, ground, rock, ghost, normal, fighting,
           flying, poison and steel type.

Mirror Coat - Give back in double damage if taking a damage of a
special move, which are fire, water, grass, electric,
               dark, dragon, psychic and ice.

Safeguard - Prevents on next 5 turns status alteration to your team.
Good to protect Wobbuffet for poison or burn if your foe
Pokemon wants to defeat your Wobbuffet on this way by
avoiding so it to give back the damage received.

Destiny Bond - Use this move before foe cause Wobbuffet to faint and
                it'll faint also.

A thing that I've already noticed is about CPU using Wobbuffet. If the
Pokemon has physical and special moves then it'll use in the following
order to confuse your: physical, physical, special, physical, physical,
special... or the opposite. If you didn't hit in the first strike, try the
second one and the after to you know what may come out. Of course that if
foe have a super effective move, like ghost or dark, it'll prefer using it
than this sequence.

Q.: I can't win the battle X of Cup/Tower with the team you suggested. And
now?

R.: If I could win you can do that as well once the game is equal for me
and you. I can just do nothing. Or you don't know to play Pokemon or
either you needed a bit more of luck. Try again, that's just what I can do
for you.

Q.: Where can I pass for Gameboy the Pokemons I gained from Professor Oak
in Pokemon Stadium 2?

R.: Go to Pokemon Lab. You can transfer, obviously, if your GB is conected
at N64 controller. There are lots of menus and if you really wants to pass
such Pokemon to GB I suggest you to pass it in the straight moment you
enter in Lab because there are lots of menus that even I get confused.

                                                                    ___
