Where can I find metal characters on vs mode and practice?

statusI assume you have already unlocked Platinum mode for several characters, thus the previous answer would do you no good.
On vs mode (this should work for practice mode too if you are able to use them on this mode at all - never tried myself), if the character you are using is on the top bar, press up again - press up once more for gold mode (if it is unlocked). If your character is on the lower bar, press down on the character again.
