Secret Island?

On the dam level, when you go down to the water by the three towers and look across the water, there is a fourth tower. Is there anyway to get to the tower without using a glitch, or can you somehow get there with a boat or other vehicle?
I've always wondered about it, any advice would be cool.

Nope, there's no way you can get there unless you use gameshark codes or something similar. I've seen close up pictures and there is nothing in that island. It was supposed to become an objective to go to the island, but the game designers thought it would be too long a mission so they discarded it, but forgot to delete the island.

Answer

No, the only way to get there is using a glitch, but once you're there, there's nothing to do. No enemies, the turrent is non-functional, you can't even climb the guard tower.
