Review by Obeliskos

"Short and a little weird, but an awesome game. Glad I got it."

This game was great, addicting, fun, and worth buying. A 10, no doubt, if not for dumb things like laugh tracks... (A short intermission, real quick: I know what you're thinking, "WTF? A laugh track? What happened to 'Ninja,' you ****?"... DUDE! Don't blame me for it! It's not my fault. I think the same. Deal with it, dude. I did. The outcome? Oh, I don't know. Try looking at the rating!)... Back on topic: Dumb things like laugh tracks, weird characters, and dumb ideas for villains.

Story: 7/10
A great story, worthy of a great game, but... The villains, their plan... Sucks... They want to turn a castle into a studio or some dumb crap like that. If they wanted to take it over or something, that's a good plot. If the villains weren't stupid, it wouldn't be as painful to look at them and hear their dialogue. Still, you get used to it.

Gameplay: 10/10
Easy controls, some decent characters, cool places, and sweet music mixed into one great game. Hooray for Konami's best N64 game I've ever played. The game displays status nicely, some enemies are cool, and it's highly addicting. Do the words "7 hours straight" mean anything to you? If not, you haven't played this game. You start with Goemon, the main character, along with Ebisumaru, some fat dude. His friend, most likely. Then you meet Yae, ninja girl, who wields a sword, then Sasuke, a little ninja robot. They all have unique powers, backgrounds, wield different weapons, and all play an important role in the game. There's a big robot, Impact, that looks oddly like Goemon. You battle with him a lot, and those battles rule. You get a little conch that let's you call him when he's needed. It's up to the game if he's needed, though. *Sniffle...*

Graphics: 9/10
Kinda like Super Mario 64, but with an Anime feel to it. They're good enough to bear without gouging your eyes out. Good for N64, and is actually more than bearable in this reviewer's eyes. They're good, if you haven't figured that out yet. Enemies are fine, weapons look cool, and the background is done nicely. Overall, the graphics are great.

Sound/Music: 9/10
Japanese themed songs, including the theme song, the "Impact" song, and the overworld music. Basically, it's Japanese themed, musicwise. The sound effects are good, especially, the way every time you do something, they shout something in Japanese. Great sound effects and music.

Replayability: 10/10
I can't even count how many times I've played this game, it's so addicting. Too addicting for a rental, so I suggest buying it, short it may be, it's addicting. There are many things to find, buy, kill, explore, etc. You never know what you missed until it's too late. Battles rule, especially the Impact battles. Love the game, love the battles... And everything else it has.

Buy or Rent?
As I've said before, this game is addicting, has many places to explore, items to get, magic to gain, etc. It's just too good to put down the controller. If you want to try it, go ahead and rent it, but you can probably get it on eBay for barely anything. It's up to you. I suggest buying it.

Overall: 9/10
I don't need to explain this again do I?... No?... Good.
