"N64 Fighting Force"

During the early 1990's beat-em up games were very common, but when the Sega Saturn and Playstation came out those types of games were not being made as much as before. So in 1997 Halloween Fighting Force was made for the Playstation. Unlike the games before, this game allowed you to go interact more. 2 years later Fighting Force 64 came as a port of the Playstation copy. Now not much separate these two but there are some differences between the two (mainly graphics).

Game play 9/10: This game gave you a wider range of weapons to use like guns and etc (unlike Final Fight and Streets of rage and etc). You could also beat up on more things other then thugs (like cars, soda machines and etc). There are two different males and females that you can choose from in the game. As for rails and hand bars you could break those too in the game (they are not only for decoration now).

Graphics 6/10: While the levels and the heroes look ok the generic thugs look the same sometimes. You would think that by now they could make even the simplest thug look different from the rest. The bosses are also well made as well.

Length 7/10: The game has like about 6-7 different each containing about 2-3 levels. So it's on of you generic time length for most beat em ups. However since you can choose different paths in this game and depending on what boss you face, the time can be different.

Controls 8/10: The controls for the game are: analog stick is to move, start button is for starting, A button is to attack B button is to jump and (I think) the C or Z button was for the special attack.

So to buy or to rent? Well this game isn't the best type of beat-em ups there is out there. Even the classics ones are better then this some times. but it is certainly worth trying. So I guess most people should just rent if they can find this game any where since it is pretty old.
