"Cute pun, cute game."

I don't care what anybody says , I have always watched 'Tom and Jerry' , and chances are , so have you. One day I heard about this game , and being the 'Tom and Jerry' fan I am , I just had to buy it. It's a good thing too , because after I had been home for a while , I realized that this purchase was not a bad one. In fact... it was a very good purchase. Well , if you don't take my word for it , lets just go ahead and get on with the review...

Gameplay - 9/10
The gameplay in 'Tom and Jerry : Fists of Furry' is near perfect. I say near , because it is not as smooth running as some of the more advanced games on the Nintendo 64 , say , such as Donkey Kong 64. Yeah , you know what I mean. In some instances , this would probably go under "Graphics" , but I think that it plays a major part of the "Gameplay" so I included it in this section.

Difficulty - 7/10
Like I have said in another one of my reviews , in my person opinion , I actually like games that are easy , a very good example is Metal Gear Solid for the Playstation. Unfortunately , this game actually took me more than one try in some parts. I know , I know , me being the supreme video game master of eternity actually have a challenge in a video game? Just kidding... Actually , this game is honestly fairly easy , depending what difficulty level you are on , what character you choose to play as , and when you get to the final boss fight , you'll probably have to try more than once to beat him... ugh.

Graphics - 8/10
The graphics in this 'Tom and Jerry' game are actually pretty good. The graphics are pretty cool in most areas of the game , and there aren't a whole lot of jagged edges. The only gripe I have is with what I said in the GAMEPLAY section : this game doesn't run as smooth as some of the other games for this dying system.

Controls - 8/10
I can really only say one thing in this section. The only reason I didn't give this game a perfect 10/10 for controls , is that every once in a while , you'll press a button , and nothing happens. This is pretty aggravating when you're playing your older cousin and you're about to beat him , and your final blow isn't executed because of the freaking controls...

Fun Factor - 10/10
Finally , a section of thia game recieved a perfect 10/10. Like most other people , I have always loved 'Tom and Jerry'. I loved 'Tom and Jerry' when I was a kid , and if I'm ever flipping through the channels on the television today , and I find an episode of it , I usually watch it. As you can see , I love the crazy antics of running around as a tiny mouse throwing a football at a cat in someone's backyard , and I'm sure you probably will too.

Sounds 9/10
Wow , another near perfect 10/10. Well , to tell you the truth , this section is almost self-explanatory. Have you ever played 'Earthbound' on the Super Nintendo? If you have , and you liked the sound from it , then you'll just love the sound in 'Tom and Jerry : Fists of Furry'. If not, the only true word to describe it is "quirky."

Replay Value - 7/10
I know that I'm not really supposed to give away any spoilers , but I think I have to tell you about this. This game actually has replay value , in the form of cheats. That's right kids , if you beat the game with different characters , you unlock cheats , and more characters.

Rent or Buy?
Well , seeing as how I highly doubt this game costs much now , and I highly doubt you can find it in stores because of the systems old age , I think you should rent it if at all possible , but if you ever walk around and see it in a store , I will without a doubt have to say buy.
