Blast Corps

Review by Dave 008 Bond

"A very unique and good game......."

Introduction
I always gasp when I see a original game. Now these kinds of games are rare, so when I fond this game I was very pleased. It is original, and it is still a good game. In this game you have to stop a nuclear truck from crashing into buildings so you have to destroy the building with your vehicle. So you have to destroy building before the truck crashes into them! Such creativity makes me shiver.... any way in to the review.

Graphics 7/10
Very, very good. The vehicles look very cool. To get an idea of what they look like, take a Gundam from Gundam Wing and paint it yellow. But that is just one of the vehicles. One is some sort of tank that can shoot missles, another is a guy with a jet-pack, and I could go on. Water looks similar to that on Wave Race. The explosions look really good too. But when your guy walks out of a vehicle, he looks like something on a NES. The buildings that you destoy could also use a little more detail. Overall these graphics are decent.

Story 8/10
A nuclear car steers out of control and you have to blow up everything that it may crash into. Isn't it nice to see an original story?

Sound 7/10
Nice. There are good sound effects like the motor of your vehicle and the SWEET explosions. The only bad sound effect is when you accidentaly crash into a wall, and then someone says, ''Try something else!'' That can get annoying quickly. The music is good, but isn't anything special. Overall these sounds are decent.

Gameplay 8/10
Like I said earlier, you have to blow up buildings to keep a nuclear truck from exploding. During actual gameplay, you have to keep up with the truck while leveling buildings. You can level buildings by crashing in to them, shooting them with missles, or stomping on them. And if you don't destroy the buildings on time, then KABOOOOM! There are also race modes, (beat a race under ______ minutes), destroy ____ buildings in __ minutes. Overall this game is fun.

Control 9/10
As usual nintendo give us easy controls. Even when you switch vehicles, you will feel confortable at all times.

Challenge 9/10
The first few levels are easy, but then you reach a very hard level, which kept me playing for two years. This game is a little too hard, which makes this game frusterating.

Buy or Rent?
Rent? You will either love or hate this game, but steer clear if you can get frusterated easily.

Overall 7/10
