Tigger's Honey Hunt

Review by joeyissoweird

"They're gre.. I mean.. Terreffic!"

This game along with other approx two other games were left in this house. I finally got a change to get this game working and play it. And boy, was this great. This game has everything you would find in a side scrolling game with the one exception.. it's 3D, and it's Tigger. This game is not just for kids. It's for teens, too.

Plot 8/10
The plot is very simple. I mean, very simple. That's what makes this game very short. You can beat it in an hour. Pooh Bear is planning a party, but he needs to collect all the honey pots he can get it. Tigger decides to help. So now it's your job to go get them as you are Tigger. There are some minigames along the way. For example, Rabbit is missing his wheelbarrow. You have to go back to where you came from and get him back to him.

Cutscene 5/10
I feel this needs it's own section of a review for this reason, you can't skip cutscenes. This gets very frustrating because not only that they can't have sound, you have to sit through text that take a long time to change from one sentence to another.

Graphics 10/10
Everything is colorful and 3D. It's pretty. While characters may not look smooth, they do look colorful and bright. You have to remember, this is on the Nintendo 64. Not many games were as good as silk.

Sound 9/10
The sound is nice to listen to. There are great music in the background and also enemies making sounds. Example, bees. Tigger makes bouncing noises and when he's about to fall, you can hear that.

Controls 7/10
This game makes most of the controls useless. The c buttons have nothing. But that's okay. Tigger doesn't need them.

Gameplay 10/10
This is just a simple side-scrolling platform game. You collect the honey, go underground when you need to, and jump on spiderwebs to get to a higher platform or to get honeypots you can not reach. Pretty simple. Then there's the cutscenes where you have to read. In the end of each level, the Owl counts your honey and sees if you did a good job.

On the menu, you can do little minigames and look at photos you collected. That's one thing I should have mentioned. Other than honey, you collect photos for your photo albums.

Overall 9/10
This game is pretty fun to play. See if your sibling has this lying around or nephew, and try it out. Or buy it on Ebay. Very fun game to play. I recommend this. This is pretty short. So if you just want to kill an hour, go ahead!
