WWF No Mercy

Review by DarkAngel13

"After powerbombing Kurt Angle through a table. I decide to review this game."

What do you get when you add the best wrestling federation on earth, the best wrestling game engine, and no loading times? You get No Mercy! This is the updated version of Wrestlemania 2000 and beats it in everyway (Except for the framerate in 4 players.)

Story- Uh... you pick your favorite wrestler and try to win the title. Also you make your enemies along the way too.

Sound/Graphics- 9/9 The sound on this game is very good. It contains all of the updated themes except Where is American Badass by Kid Rock? It is pretty odd having the undertaker come to the ring with the Raw is War theme. The graphics are much better than on Wrestlemania 2000. The faces are much better and the characters all look like they do now. Also the body's look more realistic than Wrestlemania 2000 but the wrestlers shoulders still have the annoying polygon breakup but it shouldn't distract you from buying this great game. The framerate when you play with four players can get pretty slow but it's not as bad as some games I've played.

Controls- 10 The controls are the exact same from all of THQ's N64 games except for one exception. Now you press C-Left to pick up your weapons and the ladder. C-Up is to get into the ring and get out of the ring. C-Down is to run and get on the turnbuckles. C-Right is to change who you are looking at in matches with more than 2 players. A is to grapple. B is to punch. The control pad is to move. The control stick is to taunt. R is to counter. L is to dodge grapples by the opponent.

Challenge Level- Not as hard as Wrestlemania 2000 mainly because you can change the difficulty for championship mode. The survival mode isn't too hard but it can get very long. Also you have to get a certain amount of money to buy certain special moves and characters and attire.

Replay Value- 10 Many hidden characters to get... Smackdown Mall where you can buy new moves and clothes and hidden characters, Advanced Create-A-Wrestler. Man, I could go on forever almost but I won't. Also the championship mode lets you go after separate belts where you make enemies and allies. Also there is a ladder match!!! Also you can put people through the announcers table!! This is easily one of the best games on N64. You should buy this if you have the chance!!

Final Score- 10
