GT 64: Championship Edition

"Oh god, what were they thinking?"

I don't think they were thinking, the game is the worst game in my collection, don't buy it, why?, my review will tell you why...

Graphics 3/10
-OMG! This is horrible, this has to be one of the worst graphics for a N64 game! The car looks terrible let alone the scenery, the distance you can see is a problem as well. The graphics move in a weird way awhile playing, making it look like the framerate is really low. The car has nothing 3D sticking out of it (mirrors, exhaust, etc.) I don't think the tires are even 3D! There are so many other racing games for the N64 that looks A LOT better than this...

Sound/Music 2/10
-This game would be better off being played WITHOUT the sound, the music is too repetitive and the sound effects are not very realistic, also, did I mention there is no music during in-game? This makes it even more boring as there is no beat to keep you moving.

Controls 4/10
-The buttons are set up on the controller nicely, the problem is when your playing the game, the car is always drifting on a turn and takes too long to straighten out, plus it's hard enough keeping up with the shifts if you set the car on manual transmission.

Gameplay 1.7/10
-It is way too boring, especially how the tracks feels like they take forever, one lap feels more like 3 laps. They seem to have tried to make the game more exciting by adding the option to change the car settings, for example, the steering wheel can be set to slow or fast using numbers 1-5, yet it doesn't really make a difference due to how annoying it is to drive the car in a race.

Replayability 1/10
-You'll probably never play this game again, let alone beat it, the multiplayer option doesn't help as it is even worse than single player as the graphics and framerate is just horrible, if you play this game for another hour, your mind will be messed right up, if you haven't fallen asleep yet.....

Overall 3/10
-A disgrace to the Nintendo 64 as one of the or even THE WORST racing game for the N64. You should look for something else like Topgear Overdrive or Nascar 99. Don't get this game, ever, there is no point to this game as it will just be left on your shelf (or garbage can) to sit there forever and ever and ever.......
