Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six
Review by General Eric
"Both the book and the game are great!"
Hi, I'm General Eric, and I like Tom Clancy's books, I read this book and thought it was great, and the game is also great, it's pure fun, after I read the book I heard that they were going to make a game of it, since I played Damage Incorperated and the game and book are alike, I'd give Rainbow Six a try, but I didn't get the computer version, I waited until the N-64 version came out and played it, and this game is the best game that me and my dad both enjoyed together. This game is on every now system (even Gameboy color!) and this should be one of your favorite games too.
Too bad rouge spear isn't coming for the N-64.
Graphics 9/10
The grapics are great, the locations look good, enemy's are cool looking and the bullet and weapons look great, but sometimes the buildings in some levels look blocky, like a cube with some colors added to it and some times the enemys look blocky also, but other stuff looks great, like the money going through the press in the second level and going through the water in the amusement park level, also your teammates or squad members look very great, the explosions look fake but you won't be disappointed.
Sound/Music 10/10
There isn't much music but when you hear music in this game, it will liven up the gameplay, like when you open a door, sometimes some regular music will start and stop, but then, sometimes some ''music in which when you open the door something might kill you'' music, also the sound is great, from the bullets hitting their targets to you yelling Tango Down!, this sound and music is probubly some of the best on the N-64!
Gameplay/Story 10/10
The gameplay is great, the story is that a terroist group is planning to set off a weapon some where in the world and you have to find out where they are going to set it off in the different missions. In the game there are 12 big levels, you have to kill all teroist and complete the mission objective, most of the time you have to frree hostages. You can pick who you teammates are, where they go, what team they ae on, there weapons etc. and this is all easy to do except fo the direct your teammates to places on the map thing which is hard to do. This game is best played with a friend and is on the elite diffuculty. This game is one of the geatest co-opertive games there is.
Controls 10/10
Every button on the N-64 controller is used fo something, the C buttons to move, the Control stick to move, etc. and it's easy to learn, the only time I had trouble was with the L and R buttons because I forgot which does which.
Replay Value 7/10
Thiers only 12 levels and only 3 levels are so hard that you'll will take a hour to beat them but then again, 12 levels, but you can change the diffuculty and play 1 or 2 player, too bad no death matches are here.
Rent or buy
Always rent your game first before you buy it, I suggest renting it because you will beat the game in four days like I did.
