"Employment"

Cartoons are the essence of every child and with only one cartoon game under the N64's belt, it is just natural that "Ozisoft" and Paradigm Entertainment would snap up this fine opportunity to bring a second Warner Brothers game to air.

The level design is quite enjoyable, and easy to follow, with Porky and friends giving Daffy little tutorials through the game. Some of the levels progress into lots of little levels which may become a bit tedious to those who feel the way of the set levels (because of the save positions), although at the end of these levels you will always end up in the opening level foyer.

Another great feature, is the mini-games. Some of them include, Basketball, score ten baskets in under a minute, Boxing, use your glove to knock your opponent unconscious, Pong, you'll need a stress ball to complete this, Seal-Save, help poor old mama seel rescue her poor little chaps from ice prisons, Sewer Rat Chase, do what the title says (race the rat), Snowrace, beat the fastest lap down a snow ride, Strength, test your strength, target, don't have to tell you what to do here!

One very important thing, for developers, is to transfer the cartoon character to a cartridge and still keep the cartoony atmosphere. Paradigm Entertainment have put a great deal of effort onto this, and they have succeeded very well. The voice characterizations where made almost perfect, by recalling the original database of voices from the cartoon, to the cart. One thing, though, that they did not manage is, graphics. Don't get me wrong, they would be really superior to a lot of PSX games, but with Rare on the scene....Well, you know how hard it is to compete with those guys!

I would really think, as Daffy is the superhero in this game, that he would need state-of-the-art weapons, but unfortunately most of the game is jump and kick, except for the mini-games, although you would expect Marvin and such to get blown to another planet with explosives, but there, again, this game lets me down.

The game doesn't really smash any barriers but is a fine platformer. It has great humour and the magical voices of such, Porky Pig and Marvin the Martian will make it a household favourite in no time. Although if you want all of this and more (maybe not the cartoon appeal, though) check out Banjo-Tooie for a sensational gaming experience.
