Disney's Tarzan

"At least it's better than the movie!"

Oh, no! It's another Disney movie made into a game! Oh, wait. This actually was a little fun! Straight from the big screen to that 17'' TV you're always staring at during game time comes the story of the child who turned ape. Then somewhat later fell in love with some girl and kicked a leopard's butt.
Despite the bad name most Disney games have give themselves, this wasn't all the way horrible. It had good elements, but it had bad elements. It never hurts to just rent it to see for yourself. but, moving on...
GAME PLAY: 7 it had some interesting mini games, and it was interesting to throw all the kinds of fruit. The bosses weren't plentiful enough for my taste, and were a little too easy, the only exception maybe the last boss. There are 4 character's you can control in story mode, a few more in mini games.
STORY: 4 Uh, well, the story was probably the worst part. Although it tells some of it, to get all you have to watch the movie. (Don't risk it!) The story changes a bit, too. This is hardly ever a strong point in action games, this is no exception.
SOUND/MUSIC: 6 Not all that great either. I did enjoy the knife sounds, but that was about it. There is a little voice acting, but it doesn't really go smoothly with the game. The sound effects are all right, which brought the score up. I hardly ever pay attention to music in a game. So this is mainly on sound effects.
GRAPHICS: 6 OK, not fantastic. It was rather blurry at times, but like everything else, tolerable.
REPLAY ABILITY: 7 There are many mini games to shoot for. You earn them when you collect these picture pieces. Then you can go into Options to see Jane's Journal. There are 4 picture pieces in each level. Some in plain sight, others not so plain. There are also letters you can collect to get extra lives.(T A R Z A N) The game tracks completion percentages, so you can see how close (or far) you are from your 100% goal.
RENT OR BUY: I would rent it. It is an easy game and should be completed at, if not before, the time to be returned.
OVERALL SCORE: 6 It was one of the better Disney movie to game games, but it isn't ever going to make any top gaming charts.
