Review by Wild Gunman

"Not the best game for the N64, but still pretty good..."

After the travesty that was Cruis'n USA, the creators decide to make a sequel to this game. The creators call it Cruis'n World and has you race across the world on a couple of tracks. It is better than USA, but a few niggling flaws kind of hold it back from being an excellent game in its own right.

GAMEPLAY:Well the good news here is that there is a reasonable amount of tracks and an excellent selection of vehicles (my favorite is the 4x4), but the bad news here is that the handling lets this all down. The vehicles feel all the same except for the truck and they don't turn very well. Also the AI of the computer-controlled cars is varied. One minute they are driving along the road peacefully, the next they are drunk maniacs looking for demolition! 6/10

STORY:There is no story here. Just a bunch cars driving around. I would give this part a zero, but GameFaqs don't let me go that far. 1/10

AUDIO:The music is sometimes good, sometimes bad. It all depends on the track that you are on. And there are no vocals other than the guy saying ''Ready, set, go!!!!''. The drivers shouting at each other would have been nice, but the horn almost makes up for this. Almost. 6/10

GRAPHICS:The backgrounds look nice and so does the exhaust from the cars, but the vehicles themselves are a different story. Although the vehicles are shaped good and aren't blocky, they look kinda smudgy and have a few ugly glitches. Also, when the vehicles turn, it looks clunky. Generally it looks okay. 7/10.

REPLAYABILITY:The multiplayer mode is apreciated, but there isn't alot on offer for single players. You'll get through the Championship really quickly and the Arcade mode is short as well, but at least the time trial mode is alright. But unfortunately, the errors above kind of ruin it. 6/10

BUY OR RENT:Rent probably. It is short to get through and unless you have 2 or more friends, there isn't alot on offer for single players. If you were a fan of USA (God forbid), then you probably should buy it, but then you'd only play it when friends are over.

OVERALL:6/10. This game is definitely better than Crus'n USA and is fun to play, but it could have been alot better. A battle mode wouldn't have gone astray either. You might want to play Mario Kart instead. *sigh*
