"A poor sequel..."

Let me start off by saying I have been playing Pokémon ever since it came out here in America. I played it all the time. I even bought the Japanese Gold due to the fact I couldn't wait for it to come out over here. When I got my hands on Pokémon Stadium, the first one here, I played that non-stop until I opened everything up. Well, I played it more and more after that. But when I paid $60 for Stadium 2, I was depressed. It didn't even come with the transfer pack, poor poor Nintendo.

Game Play (4/10): The only few things they changed were the mini games, which are the highlights of the game, new arenas you fight in, new Pokémon, a library, and your room. But you say, that is a lot still. Well, the library is basically for new players who do not know fire would kill grass. All you can do in your room is just look at it in 3d and change things. Wow, let me get to stare at my room the whole time... New Pokémon, yes, they added 100 more, but all of the original Pokémon have the same animations. The new arenas they added are basically just new backgrounds, wow...

Graphics (3/10): It is either they never enhanced the graphics or the Dreamcast got sweeter. The graphics looks just like the first one. Too pixely...

Sound & Music (2/10): The sounds are basically the game boy cries. The announcer is the same but with new lines. Still annoying like the first one.

Controls (7/10): What all can I say? The controls are really easy in the game. They are the same as in the first... Basically you use the C buttons for the attacks, and A button to select attacks, and B button to switch Pokémon and start to run away.

Overall (4/10): They could have done better. But if you never got the first one, this is basically it but with new Pokémon. But if you got the first one, I would be careful on this one.

Pros:
Better Mini games
A few new Pokémon

Cons:
Same Pokémon animations
Same concept
Same Graphics
Game Boy cries

To rent or buy? Well if you are a Pokémon fanatic like I am, then most likely you already have this game. But if you never got the first one, buy this one, but to get the transfer pack, just go to a video game store and pick one up for cheap.
