"A Frustrating, Lame Game"

Blast Corps is a game where you are one of a selection of vehicles trying to stop a loose missle carrier by eliminating everything in it's path. Now, the main reason I gave Blast Corps a 4 is because it's difficulty level. Now I know most of us like a challenge, but this is one of the games that makes you want to pull your hair out. First of all, the constant "Try Something Else!" soon becomes irritating. The graphics are pretty good, but the sound is enough to drive someone insane. Some tracks sound like the Donkey Kong Country soundtrack fell through a meat grinder. As for the replay value, I would say that this is big, due to the fact that once you beat all the levels, more challenges open up. The control is actually pretty good, but takes some getting used to. You must give the game some credit for being original, however Some of the bonus levels not only have horrendous music, but they must be done within a certain time if you want to earn some more challenges, Sometimes being flat out impossible. My over-all oppinion of this game is I would nt have bought it if I had known more about it. If you can get it for under $20, and you're not sure I suggest you rent it first. If it's over $20 then I suggest you save your money and buy another game that isn't so bad.
