Fighting Force 64
Review by KnaveDog
"A cool game to rent for cheap fun"
Game Play: Fighting Force rules. I'll admit, for a game made up from gratuitous violence and racial stereotypes, its damn fun! The engine is great, but the number of moves is limited. But the first time you play through, you probably won't get bored. There's four characters to chose from and three difficulty levels and a couple of fun in-game codes, but theres not that much too it besides weapons.
Game Play Score: 8
Story: I'm not exactly sure why, but you're hunting down this dude named Zeng. Along the way, you single-handedly fight an army of street thugs, policemen and federal agents. You even take on the army at one point.
Story Score: 6
Graphics: The polygons look great and the backgrounds are pretty detailed. All the scenes and scenarios and levels are fun, so they make up for the simplicity. Graphics Score: 8
Audio: There's a lot of grunting and smash sounds, but the music sounds pretty nice in headphones. Every level has another song. There's this one song in this elevator that's real catchy, hehe.
Auido Score: 7
Replayability: This game is too repetitive to play more than three times in a row. If you buy it, it'll stay on the shelf until your friends come over. Two player is fun too.
Replay Score: 10
OVERALL SCORING:
-Gameplay: 8 out of 10
-Story: 6 out of 10
-Graphics: 8 out of 10
-Audio: 7 out of 10
-Replay: 10 out of 10
FINAL SCORE: 39 points out of 50 points.
PERCENTAGE: 78% which gives this game an 8.
Don't spend more on this game than the week you can rent it at Blockbuster for. It's got a fun and fast two player engine, even though you're just playing through the regular game with two players. Store your games and minimal options on a memory card.
