"Odd....Very, Very Odd"

Believe it or not, I believe Mystical Ninja was one of Nintendo 64's better first-generation games. It was different and fun all at the same time. The plot (and there isn't much) is about Goemon and his friends try to stop two evil broadway singers (yes, broadway singers. He travels across the land fighting everything from ghosts to giant robots straight out of Saturday morning cartoons. The game is odd. Very odd. You'll find corny jokes (along with a laugh track), theme songs, strange weapons (flying killer coins?), and a spaceship in the shape of a peach. The game is fun though. The map is big and there is a lot to do. The bosses are impressive looking (at least for first-generation, and the graphics themselves are well-presented. The sound is extremely impressive. Full-length songs (in Japanese w/ subtitles)are of well-quality and the backround music is very Japanese and it suits the game well. This is a fun, but odd title that everyone should check out.

Graphics - 9 (Very good for first-generation, but there is pop-up)
Sound - 10 (Impressive full-length songs in good quality)
Gameplay - 9 (Fun and addicting)
Replay Value - 6 (When you finish, your did everything, but this odd title is worth playing through again if your really bored)
