Information:
Top Gear Overdrive, is nothing to what Top Gear Rally was. With new programmers, and a whole new look it might be one of the best racing games that I have seen on the Nintendo 64 for a long time. One of it's major draw cards is that it has speed, and lots of it. Another is the ability to race three other friends at the same time at high speed.

Introduction:
Top Gear Overdrive, is not another driving game, it's THE DRIVING GAME. Forget Gan Turismo, and Daytona, TGO is the best. With exciting tracks that don't just mirror every now and again, they go through season's, so that really easy stage you know off by heart now become's your worst nightmare, when ice is over the road and you start sliding everywhere. The ability to play against you friends in a four player match is a great ability, and with the sounds of Grindstone pumping out of the speaker's what more would you want in a game. Well Snowblind Studios' gave it to you. In this game you are 'legally' allowe to cheat, as there are three to four different shortcuts through the tracks, each hard to access, but will give you satisfaction when you come out in front of you friend right in front of the finish line and cross over before him. Oh did I meantion this is also a violence game, but not on the cart, it's going to be an in-house brawl, when you lose to a cheater... what what are you's doing here, cheating.. no your reading reviews, well that's what your telling your friends that are waiting for you to come back to play the game.

Graphics:
Some of the most stunning graphics I have ever seen in a racing game. There is almost a vibe to what you can see. Somethimes you think that you are there on the race track.

Sound:
MPEG layering in a game, now that's what I like to see. With a sound track that has actually got a real life human singing as you go around corners at breakneck speed, what more do you need for sound.

Lastability:
After you finish it abit there is the case of boredom, but when friend come around the cart doesn't even come out of the slot. But don't get me wrong if you want to vent out some road rage and you havn't got Carmageddon, then this is the game for it, speed, nice cars....

Overall:
Top Gear Overdrive is unlucky to have a name being handed down from Top Gear Rally. People see Top Gear, and then they remember TGR, and think, nope I don't want to even look at this. But I plead to you all, do look at it and see if you can get a demo run at a shop somewhere, you will buy it.
