Review by Snake 166

"This game is very different from the first."

Top Gear Overdrive is the sequel to Top Gear Rally. I liked the first one a lot so when I found out they were making a sequel I went out and bought it. The ONLY resemblence between the two are cars and the name.

Graphics 8 out of 10- The background graphics are very nice. The cars look too long for my taste but plug in the Hi-Res pack and it the graphics instantly become sharper and it seemed to get rid of some of the fog.

Sound 5 out of 10- The sound effects of the engine is barely noticable and the crashes don't sound loud enough. The band that plays the music is good at first but gets very annoying.

Gameplay 7 out of 10- Upgrading your car was fun for a while but the tracks got so hard it wasn't fun anymore. It does get VERY ANNOYING when you slide right past your powerup.

Controls 1 out of 10- The cars, when they are fully upgraded, don't turn for at least 5 seconds after holding left or right.

Replayability 4 out of 10- After you get tired of the bad controling you won'y want to play anymore.

Overall 6 out of 10- Definitely try before you buy.
