"Get up from what you're doing and buy this game!"

The casual gamer may pass up this game because it is a 'kiddy' game. Dogs and Barbie doll like characters going on an adventure. They're dead wrong. This game is NOT a kiddy game. You shoot ants and they explode. Body part and green mushy blood flood the room you're in. So why is this game so overlooked? Beats me. If you are still in the dark and have no clue what to expect from this game, read on.

You probably want a game that's cheap, but good, right? You probably want a game that is long, but keeps your attention, right? You want a game that offers a significant challenge but isn't too frustrating, right? If you answered yes to any of those questions (If you didn't, then you don't like video games) this is the perfect game for you! It's a long but fun and challenging game that is nearly perfect in every aspect. Here's why:

Graphics: 9/10

Almost perfect. The animations are smooth, the back rounds are colorful, and the lighting effect is spectacular. It missed a point because the tribals (little bear things) and some large beetles are a bit blocky. It's not very noticeable really. Other than that, spectacular visuals by Rare.

Story: 9/10

It mixes the typical 'save the world' story with its' own elements. You not only have to save the earth but also an enslaved group of cute aliens called tribals. Plot twist does occur. Pretty good story, but not up to RPG standards.

Sound 10/10

Dolby surround sound. Nuff said. (Ok, ok, I'll elaborate) The guns have a cool futuristic sound to them when fired. The music is catchy in some levels, serious in others. In Goldwood, the primitive tribal home world you can hear a rhythmic drum beat. In an abandoned space station (Or so you think…) a haunting music makes you stay alert and on the edge of your seat. The sound effects are above average. When an ant explodes, you can hear the thud of his body parts hit the ground. You can hear the realistic sounding slosh of blood and guts when you walk in it. Cool…

Gameplay 10/10

Gameplay is the heart of any game. This is one of the main reasons I gave this game a 10. It's not the typical GoldenEye, TWINE, or Perfect Dark which are first person and realistic. This game is cartoony in parts, but fun. The third person view is what differs this game from so many others. It isn't the typical shootem up where all you do is kill enemies. There is a jump button, and this is where the game introduces some platform/adventure elements. You may have to find items (such as earplugs) and bring them to a character. You may also have to find your way to the top of a tower using jumping skills. This game involves more thinking than a lot of shooting games

Then there is the variety. WOW! You can play as a guy, a girl, and even a dog. You can race in a futuristic hover vehicle. You can play the arcade games at Ichor. You have a jetpack, you can do Floyd missions, (missions where you control a flying robot and have objectives) and there is even target practice! This game offers tons of variety.

Replay 10/10

Let me just say that this game took me 50 hours to obtain everything, and I have played through it again many times. This game will never get boring. With over 15 worlds, most with 3 or more levels apiece, this game is long, and there are many secrets.

Buy or rent:

BUY BUY BUY! This game isn't a good rent, as it is extremely unlikely you will complete in the given time. IF you can, IF, (And I seriously doubt it) you could complete it in the renting time, you will want to play it more. So, I would definitely say you should buy it. I bought it for $15, but I would pay $100 for it.
