Pokemon Stadium (Japan)
Review by DragonKM
"Odd... but worth it."
I liked this game. Iam also a Pokemon fan, but you could of guessed that. Well, should you buy this game? You first need an import dealer of some kind. Well, onto my review. The score is not an average.
Gameplay - 8 - Well, you fight with Pokemon. It may sound lame, but it is actually a blast, even (like me) if you can read a letter of Japanese. The controls are somewhat simple to learn, even without reading anything. You will be familar with the attacks if you've played the Game Boy one. You can use a 64GB Pak to transfer your Pokemon (if you have a Japanese copy) onto Pokemon Stadium, which enriches the gameplay. And you can also view a 3D Pokedex IF you have a Japanese game.
Story - N/A - Well, you are a Pokemon trainer battling in a Pokemon tournament. Now is that really a story? No. So I didn't include this score.
Sound - 7 - Strictly average. Mainly sounds from the Game Boy version, but seriously doctored up. Some are new, and they are pretty good, but nothing that sticks to your mind. The Music while battling is ok, it's like the one from the Gameboy game but much better.
Graphics - 9 - Wow! The graphics are top notch quality here. Seriously, thay are better than most up-to-date N64 games. You'll love them.
Replayabiliy - 7 - Yeah, you beat it, but doing more stuff here is really fun. Especially if you have the 64GB pak and a Japanese Pokemon GB Game. It kept me coming back.
To Buy or to Rent - If you like Pokemon and import sometimes, then yes, buy it. If you don't like Pokemon, then no. I think it was worth the $65 to import it and the converter.
