"Excellent Wrestling Game"

WWF No Mercy is an excellent wrestling game for the Nintendo 64,it is a more updated version of it's earlier predecessor,Wrestlemania 2000,with many other additions as well.

Graphics-8-The graphics are well done. There are about 8 different arenas (2 are hidden, waiting to be unlocked) each with unique appearances. The wrestlers themselves are very well done as well, the only complaint is that some of their faces look really stupid (Billy Gunn smiles no matter what!) some of them don't look so bad (Like Kurt Angle) the only downfall to this are the videos the wrestlers come out to,they are extremely blurry and slow, they should ditch the whole entrance video idea, because it is not working very well at all,at least in my opinion.

Music-9-There is a lot of music in this game, and a lot of it is very good. Each wrestler comes out to their entrance music (The only exception are the Woman wrestlers, but how often do you hear them anyways?) there are also original music sets that THQ made themselves, the only bad music in this game is when your going through the menus and the music in matches, but you can turn that off.

Sound Effects-7-The sounds in this game are basically a bunch of slaps, thumps, and booms, not that they are bad or anything, cause that is what you would normally hear in a regular wrestling match.

Challenge-Varies-The challenge in this game is adjustable in the options menu,so I really can not say much about this.Well, the championship mode is challenging at times, you can either go for the World Title,The Intercontinental,The Tag Titles,The European,The Light Heavyweight,or the Women's Title. Each Championship patch is comprised of 8-12 chapter, each one having different objectives in a match,or a decision for your wrestler (Like paying the APA $1000 for their protection on the Hardcore title path.).

Fun Factor-10-This game is one of the greatest when it comes to multi player! It can play to up to four people,on several modes, such as Royal Rumble,Ladder match,Tag Team, and so on.If there are not any friends nearby, you can always do a match by yourself,or do survival. The objective of survival is to eliminate the 99 people, some of the people that come out may be hidden characters,if you eliminate them, they'll be unlocked. You will also win money in either championship or survival, you can use this money to buy items in the Smack Down Mall, such as extra attire, moves,or Secret Characters. There is also a Create-A-Wrestler mode, where you can either create legends,or a wrestler of your own.

Buy or Rent? You might as well as just buy it,it has many features to keep you busy for weeks.
