"How many reasons to buy this game. . . 0"

There have been many motorcycle racing games made in recent years, and most of them have been worthless pieces of crap. This game follows in this sad tradition.

Graphics-It is amazing that Akklaim Sports could not do any better. This looks like something from the Game Boy Advance. All the riders look the same (with different clothing) and they all act in the same way on the bike. The bikes are animated poorly too. The dirt is decent, although the textures are quite repetitive. What really brings the game down is the awful frame-rate. It must be around 10 (whereas most N64 games are around 20-30 frames per second). This is bad enough that it can effect your control of the bike. To top it all off, there is slowdown in the game! This brings it down to a 4 or 5 frame-rate. Pathetic.

Gameplay-The gameplay is rather weak because of the frame-rate. This causes you to need to start to turn before you need to in order to actually make a good turn. It is easy to pull off tricks though. Just tap the R button and the control stick to pull off an insane trick.

Difficulty-There are three difficulty settings. The first is rather easy to beat on your first try. The second is just about where you want it (everyone is just as good as you). The hardest level is just plain frustrating though. Everyone will be faster and smarter than you on this difficulty.

Story-None what-so-ever. You don’t collect money for upgrades. You just get points and whomever has the most points at the end of the series wins.

Sound-The sound is a winning point for this game. The engines sound real (although you will feel like you are in a beehive after a while). The motor changes sound whenever you change gears. The music is good if you like The Offspring because that is all you will hear.

Replay-Not much replay value in this game. Three difficulty settings, over a dozen tracks, and the ability to create your own tracks try to add replay value, but the game just gets too boring and you will find that the pros make better tracks than you can.

Rating-This game gets an E rating. The only violence in the game is when you push someone off their bike, but there is no blood, however. No language and no suggestive themes make this a perfectly clean game.

Buy or Rent-Rent. t will entertain you for a few day’s but it will collect dust after a week.
