Mischief Makers

Review by Mitora

"Yuke Yuke Trouble Makers: Non stop fun for everyone!"

INTRO: Even though the Nintendo 64 was weak with RPGs, it still had some great (and over-looked) games of other genres as well. Yuke Yuke Troublemakers (Go Go Troublemakers) was one of those great games.

STORYLINE: You play the roll of a super-strong android girl named Merina Lightyeres. In this game, an evil empire from a far away galaxy want to take over a hapless plant called Kuranceru (sounds like a Romanji of Cancer, doesn't it. But it's not). And of course, Merina's inventor keeps getting captured over and over again and it is up to Merina to save the professor and the planet from the empire.

Alot of strange things happen in the game as well, but Mitora is nice and won't ruin anything ^_^

CHARACTERS: Hey, this is a real goldmine of strange (and some rather cute) characters here! Merina has also some interesting thing up in her sleeves as well. She can use her legs as rockets, use ANYTHING as a weapon (no pun intended) and she can dash rather fast as well, not to mention some rather good shaking and grappling abillities as well.

Not all of the NPCs will stay out and run away. Some will even fight the enemies as well, or hey, mabye even be your sidekick as well!

GRAPHICS: Nice graphics. Even though it does get rather cutesy at times, but it does not ruin anything. Everything seems crystal clear and nothing is too foggy at all. Not to mention that it is in 2D instead of 3D (for once)!

PLAY CONTROL: Okay, the learning curve may be hard at first, but once everything is jotted down, you can basically figure some things out. Practice makes perfect!

FUN: Oh yeah! There are alot of things that you can see or do in ''Yuke Yuke''. If this does not get you and the bunch glued to your seats, I just don't know what will then!

CHALLENGE: HARD. Just to let everyone know, ''Yuke Yuke'' is not your typical hop and bop the enemies type of side-scroller. It goes along the lines of ''Yoshi's Island'', only that some stages really take some brain-power there.

OVERALL: ''Yuke Yuke Troublemakers'' is a very fun and wild side-scroller from Enix and Treasure (Love you guys ^^;).

And if you are tired of those typical ''hop and bop'' type of side-scroller games, this game is for you! But just to let you know, DO NOT TURN YOUR BRAIN OFF WHILE PLAYING THIS GAME!

WOULD MITORA PURCHASE THIS GAME: Yep, I did years back.
