"The game that made me love wrestling all over again"

Ahhhhh, the game that started it all. The awesome game engine we all know and love! Yup, b4 i got this game, i really didnt even care too much for wrasslin, but now, im a huge wrestling mark and largely due to this game. In fact, I still play it regularly and in some ways prefer the playability to that of its sequel Revenge(more on that later)even if its a lot uglier.In fact, in order, No Mercy, WM2000, World Tour, then Revenge are how i rate the games, as far as fun and playability(Revenge's playability is worse, more on that later). Yeah, this game is just fun and has a lot of nostalgic value to it.

Gameplay

Yeah, the engine we all know and love. Anyone can play this game! Much more fun and easier to use that the Acclaim games(ughhh). This game is a WRESTLING game and thats why i love it. its mat wrestling and submissions and its just a nice feeling game to play. And in my opinion, i like the gameplay of this one MUCH better than that of Revenge. Revenge just didnt seem as smooth. The timing of the game engine of this game is awesome, whereas in Revenge, wrestlers are prone to the annoying ''test of strength'' during grapples that i just HATE! 10

music/sound

LOL, this music is funny. My dad thinks so too. The funny guitar riffs and the themes are hilarious! my personally favorite...the psuedo-Rocky-meets-the-Olympics theme. It sounds so inspirational! But hey, at least they have ''voices'' like the grunts and stuff. Something lacking in the games after Revenge. 6

Graphics

Hmmm...yeah, graphics arent very good at all, but i play this game for the wrestling and gameplay. I mean, Acclaim had good graphics, but their games cant hold a candle to THQ's games. Anyway, yeah, poor graphics and what my bro calls ''those crayola colors'' make it look cartoonish, but thats ok, i guess. BTW, take a look how THQ DRASTICALLY improved their graphics in Revenge...leaps and bounds, i'm telling ya! hmmm...i'll give this a 5

Replayability

This game is one of those games thats just addictive. It's like a game to sit around and play and drink Sierra Nevada and eat hotpockets and stuff. Just a fun party game. Hell, even most of my friends, who HATE wrestling, love this game. 10

Buy or rent:

Well, i'll say buy it. I mean, its a fun game thats EASY to learn and has loads of replay value. while lacking severely in the audio and visuals department, this game is at the top of the heap when it comes to just being a fun no frills game. Oh yeah, between this and say Warzone...choose this, you wont regret it. so yeah...BUY this awesome game!
