"Poor Gameplay makes thing game a tough one to like."

NFL Quarterback Club '98 is lacking in many features. But, the most important feature in a sports game, Gameplay, is too difficult, and not fun at all. That makes this game a very hard game to like, and enjoy playing. To actually, enjoy the game, you have to be the best at controlls, and have a long patience, because the game is really hard to get the hang of. I suggest you, don't waste your money on this game, becuse you won't have any fun with it. Lucky for me I bought it used from Blockbuster, and the price was marked only $.99, so their error, got me this horriable game for only a dollar. I don't think their are many mistakes, like that, so don't bother wasting $20 on this game.

Graphics: 7
The Graphics in the game aren't all that bad. But, the players look like little, fat dots running around the screen, trying to catch a pass that is always droped. Their is only one tackle type, that you see, and it starts to get old after about the fifth or sixth tackel of the game. The Graphics only possitave side, is how cool, they look in a 3D style. Otherwise, they look like crap.

Gameplay: 3
The only really important feature in any sports game, is the Gameplay. And when a game has no Gameplay, the game sucks. Hense, this game. As you can see, the gamepplay really has no stragity involved in it, and it is almost imposiable to catch the ball. The Gameplay would probally be better if you didn't have to take controll of the recieve, a split-second before you catch the ball. That really messes you up. I have played the game about six times, and I thre about fifty passes. Out of those fifty passes I caught, mabye eight balls. The Gameplay is just too hard to understand.

Sound: 3
The sound sucks, really bad. The announcer, will start a sentence then stop, then start it again, with a higher tone of voice. Here is an example of a sentence the announcer says:

The(low-pitched),.....,reciever(high-pitched) has caught,....,the ball (high-pitched).

Not to be rude or anything, but it sound like a drug attick is doing the announcing.

Controlls: 3
The controlls suck too. Even though, it is just pressing about four buttons, you don't know which button is turbo, because when you have the ball, the player just lights up without pressing anything, and when you have to take controll of the recieve, a split-second before you get the ball, it is almost impossiable, to bring the reciever to the right, spot, and actually jump up, and catch the ball.

Fun Factor: 1
The game is not fun at all. It is boring, impossiable to play, and cheep. The players look like blobs with feet, it is impossiable to catch the ball, the kicking system sucks, and it sounds, like drug attics, are the announcers. How can anyone possiable call this game fun?

Overall: 4
The only reason I gave this game a four, was because, of the Graphics, that weren't even good. I figured that this is the first game of the series, and it deserves, a break.
