Gameplay == 9/10

Your classic side scrolling action is back! The gameplay in Goemon's Great Adventure is fun and addictive. Just like in classic Mario Bros. you'll have to battle your way through robots, clay fighters and level bosses. The controls are really easy to learn. What's so hard about memorizing 2 things? All in all this game starts easy and then becomes EXTREMELY challenging. In the beginning you'll fight through groups of 2 or 3 enemies, as you progress you'll have to fight huge groups of 15-30 enemies plus extremely hard bosses.

Multiplayer == 8/10

The multiplayer aspect of this game is going to keep you hooked even more. You can't be the same character so that eliminates the confusion of which character you are. One bad thing is that each level still has the same amount of pre-set enemies, that makes the first world extremely easy and boring. It can be helpful to have a friend with you near to the end when it gets super hard.

Story == 6/10

The story is pretty basic and boring at times. You start as Goemon and must make your way through the worlds, hooking up with your friends and stopping an evil menace from destroying the world. That plot has been done to death.

Graphics == 8/10

Some pretty cool graphics. You can probably tell that the designers put a lot of attention to how the game looks. Not the best for the 64 but not the worst.

Sound == 7/10

The sound in Goemon's great adventure is pretty basic. You got the cool music but crappy sound effects for attacks and voice. It gets a little annoying hearing the same noise for hours straight. Just remember to have the mute button ready so you don't punch a hole in the TV.

Replayability == 9/10

This game is one of the most addictive games that I've ever played. After going through once your going to want to play over and over and over again. Besides who could resist beating up little clay figurines?

To buy or to Rent

Buy. You'll be playing this game a lot and we don't want to see you crying as you return it to the video store. I'd definitely recommend Goemon's Great Adventure as a game to buy and cherish forever.

Overall == 9/10

I absolutely loved this game. You'd probably love it to. With a classic side scrolling style, cool music, and a very fun multiplayer, what more could you ask for in a game?
