BattleTanx: Global Assault

"Tanx, Big Guns, what else do you need?"

When I rented this game I didn't expect much. I played the first one it was fun, but the second one is just AWESOME! I ended up buying it. It may have minor flaws but, overall it's great and I'll tell you why and why not!

Graphics - 8/10
They are normal for a 64 game. Some graphics look great some look not so great. Like always if your tank pushes up against a wall you see it on the other side (like the corner of the tank. When firing missiles it looks great the effects are all their the smoke trail behind it! All weapons look great =)

Sound - 4/10
It's a repeating theme (kinda). It's mostly tank stuff like Bum, Bum, Bum, and so on.. Kinda lame you might want to put on a CD while playing...

Gameplay - 9/10
Awesome, but the flaw is that it's just too easy. Even on hard the AI is incredibly easy. Most fun is in multi player since your opponents are human which makes them smarter than the AI! One player is fun, the real fun in campaign mode is 2-player co-op. You and a friend play through a game never gets old. Try battlelord mode it's the best!

Story - 2/10
The story is not very good. I don't want to spoil it in case you want to play through it your self first. If you need a game with a story this is not a good choice.

Controls - 10/10
Controls are very simple no hard to do stuff. Yea there easy and good. Simple, yea.

Difficulty - 2/10
Easy game you may die a few times, but it don't matter. This is one of the most easiest games EVER made. Even if you put AI on hard. It's simple. Most fun against other humans.(gives a challenge)

Replayability - 10/10
You'll be playing this for awhile as long as you play multiplayer. If not then you may become bored since the AI is just not a challenge. So it depends multiplayer = fun single = boredom. So it's up to you how fun this game can be.

Buy or Rent
Rent if your having some friends over and need a good shoot-em game. Or if by your self rent. If your big on tank games and need a good one this is for you!

The Bottom Line - 8/10
Well it has it's flaw in story and difficulty otherwise this is a perfect tank game!
