"Good Parts and Bad Parts...."

I got Pokemon Stadium 2. First thing that is improved is that you can use silver/gold version and new pokemon from those versions. Also they have added a quiz mode where you can take a quiz about pokemon! Also you can mystery gift with the cartridge(silver/gold version) Here is the lowdown on the game.

Story - 2.0
This particular game has no story. If you don't know about Ash and the rest of the story go ask any kid in a video game store. You're this kid in the game battling to be the best. Thats it.

Sound - 5.0
That announcer is the most annoying voice I have ever heard. It gets credit since the sound effects are great like Charzards's Fire Spin and Blastiose's Water Gun! I highly suggest to turn the announcer voice off immediately.

Graphics - 8.0
The same as pokemon Stadium 1. Attacks look great with effects and cool looking pokemon. Overall it's the same. The pokemon look ''alive'' like in the first. Like staggering back and forth while waiting for orders.

Gameplay - 7.0
The same as pokemon Stadium 1. You have the same options and commands. The only down side is you may become VERY frustrated with this game. Say you do an attack then your opponent goes twice. That will happen more than once and is annoying. Sometimes you WILL think that the computer cheats. And it does (kind of). Say they cast paralyzing move on you.. Then when you are about to kill them the paralize takes effect. You may think it's just my luck. Well it's not. It seems as if they cheat THIS WILL FRUSTRATE YOU!

Replayability - 9.0
This is the best part! You can play this for awhile before getting bored of it. You can have battles, mini-games, play your gameboy game, take a quiz, and a whole lot more. If you played number one alot you will notice that most of the game is the same except for the addition of gold/silver which may bore you.

Overall - 8.0
Hardcore Pokemon fan and have transfer pak - buy
If not then rent it. You WILL NOT get the most out of this game if you don't have a transfer pak so think twice. If you played one and don't own silver/gold and don't plan to buy one then this game is not for you. The main purpose of this game I think is to add in silver/gold pokemon. Now when it comes down to it Pokemon Stadium 2 gets an 8/10 from me!
