Army Men: Air Combat

"Not too bad."

OPENING STATEMENT:
Army Men: Air Combat isn't a bad game, it's pretty good. It makes a pretty good helicopter shooter, and is much better than the other army men games. Now on to the review...

GAMEPLAY: 8/10
Well, you fly around in a helicopter doing cool little missions. You have to pick up missiles, weapons, items, and people with your little rope and fight enemies. You have a lot of different ways of doing things depending on what mission you are on. Sometimes you have to eliminate all of your enemies, sometimes you have to rescue scientists, or you might have to protect a giant teddy bear with laser eyes floating down the river from being destroyed by your enemies. Some of the missions are all about attacking, others are about finding a way to get something.
The game wouldn't be as good without multi-player! It isn't the normal multi-player, it's actually a cooperative mode where you and a friend help each other beat the game. Actually you can play the normal multi-player if you want to, the games in it are kind of fun.

GRAPHICS: 7/10
The graphics could have been better. It is real neat sometimes such as when you are with the UFO, and the UFO is destroying enemies with his laser, but sometimes the things don't look that good. The missiles look cool, the people are kind of hard to make out, the mutated bugs are awesome, and the ships, cars, and air crafts are good. The graphics aren't bad.

MUSIC: 5/10
SOUND: 6/10
The music is average. There isn't too much difference in the music, all the music is is basically a few different tunes. I wouldn't call it bad, it's just average. The sound is good. The missiles and lasers and things are cool, the only problem with the sound is that they all sound too quiet.

CONTROL: 7/10
Basically, you move your helicopter, fire weapons, and pick stuff up. Not that bad.

STORY: 5/10
It isn't like the other army men games, except for the racism. Not really much of a story. Most of the levels have their own stories. There is a main story, but it's basically beat the bad guys at their new plan.

FUN: 8/10
Always the most important part a game, and this game should be glad. It is a lot of fun to play and very entertaining. One of my favorite parts is when you free the mutated bugs and they start killing the stupid yellow people.

CHALLENGE: EASY TO MEDIUM
Some of the levels get difficult but you'll beat them after a little while. The game isn't too difficult because it is a little short, if only it had a few more levels.

REPLAY ABILITY: 4/10
Not too much fun after you've beat it, but you can still free the mutated bugs and watch them kill the bad guys, or play multi-player.

It isn't bad but it's not worth buying when it is so short.

CLOSING STATEMENT: Good game but not long enough to buy. You should rent it and kill those evil racist yellow guys. DESTROY EVERYONE WITH MUTATED BUGS!!!!!
