Space Station Silicon Valley
Review by DarkFury3827
"The greatest most worthless game I have ever played..."
This game is fantastic. So addicting, so easy, and yet it is still so hard. It does not have the greatest of graphics, but with the cheesy music to back it up and the ability to possess any animal on the food chain, it is definitely worth playing; even buying.
It takes place in the future, and you are an android. As you are flying with your owner through deep space. After your ship is hit by a meteorite, you careen into a space station. The object of this game is to rebuild your robot self and your lazy owner will do nothing to help you, besides tell you what to do. Convenient huh?
Throughout your journey you get a wide selection of animals to assist you (actually they have no choice), and what you can possess makes this game so much fun. Every time I found a new and powerful animal that I had not been before I found myself doing everything possible to become the animal. Everything from lions to tigers to bears to helicopter rabbits is possible, (there are even sheep!) each one with unique abilities and some with unbelievable powers.
The graphics are not spectacular even for a 64, but the atmosphere and gameplay more than suits it. This game is addicting, and you can be sure the replay value is pretty decent. There are four different environments to play in, around forty levels to play, four bonus stages, and the last and final level. Include the many different kinds of animals you can play as, this could keep you going for hours!
The controls are not difficult to get used to; as there being only a few you need to know anyway. It is the animals you may need for certain puzzles as being the challenge.
Another good thing about this game is there are four different zones of the station; desert, jungle, grassland, and arctic. You start off in the grasslands area, and after beating a few levels you can play in another area. Say you get stuck on one level, you do not have to beat it at that moment... why not go work on something else? This keeps the gamer from quitting the game because one part is too hard and allows them to stay interested in what they are doing.
I recommend purchasing this game if possible, especially since chances are, it would probably be no more than fifteen bucks at any video store.
