"BattleZone: Rise of the Black Dogs is the port of a computer game called BattleZone, which are both based on the 80's arcade game."

Story: 10/10
The story is one of the things I like most about the game. Basically theirs a war going on and both the Soviets and the Americans have landed on the moon to search for bio-metal. Their is also another fraction to the game: The Black Dogs. I won't give away to much of the story to you.

Graphics: 9/10
The graphics in BattleZone are very nice. The planets are very detailed and so are the tanks. Also, the interior of the tanks looks very cool. The only thing bad about it is that there are some glitches.

Sound and Music: 1/10
The sound was OK but the music was just horrible. It got really annoying if someone was behind you. Even so, this could be fixed by simply turning off the sound.

Multiplayer: 4/10
Wow this was bad. It gets boring very very fast and there isn't much to do. The only good thing about it is that you get to choose three other tanks for your team.

Gameplay: 10/10
Three modes(and one practice mode), three teams, at least 90 missions, and lots of cool tanks make this game very interesting. My favorite mode was commander, where you pilot and give orders to the rest of your team. I also liked the pilot mode, which you fly around and shoot stuff. I thought the coolest(and funniest)part of the game is your ejection seat. When you lose your tank you eject out and you can snipe other tanks and steal them.

Controls: 6/10
BattleZone's controls are the easiest controls I've ever used. It took me a couple minutes to figure out. Also, because you use the C buttons to control your tank, it can feel a little weird. The bad thing about it is that it doesn't really feel like your piloting a tank because they're hover tanks. The addition of a rumble pack makes the game very cool and more realistic. The only problem is that you have to switch back and forth between memory card and rumble pack.

Replay Value: 10/10
This game has mega replay value. Their are 3 teams, 4 modes, and lots of levels.

Rent or Buy?
Definitely buy. this is one of the coolest games I've ever played. I loved it. I don't know why people say its bad. You might not be able to find it, since N64 is really old right now. If you can, jump on it right away.

Thanks for reading my first review. I hope you liked it!
