Space Station Silicon Valley
Review by Neo999955
"This game is a huge turnoff when you look at it, but never judge a book by the cover."
This game has blocky graphics and has a bunch of cute animals throughout the game making it look like a little kids game, but this is the farthest from the truth. This is a game that almost anyone imaginable could like, and anyone with any form of sense of humor could die over. This game should get a lot more credit then it gets and should be in every home with a 64.
Gameplay- 10
Terrific gameplay and very funny at that too. The gameplay is very simple, you are a micro-chip belonging to a broken robot trying to put himself back together, and uses dead robotic animals to do so. You begin the game in a dog and a sheep. Then a mouse and more interesting animals along the way. The gameplay is very simple with each animal having its own weaknesses and strengths to certain things like water. Each animal has two moves used by pressing either the A or B button. This works very well in the game, and very funny when you see rats laying turds and mice on wheels. The game has many puzzles, not very hard though, and you'll have to use several of the animals to solve them and it really makes the game fun, interesting, and a lot of the time pretty funny. Basically the gameplay is simple, but works great.
Graphics- 8.0
Although they are blocky and look pretty childish they work quite well. When the developers started making this game they knew what they wanted the game to be like and they wanted the graphics simple and blocky, but it's actually a good thing here. The graphics put you right in the mood for the game and the game wouldn't be as funny if the graphics were any different. Don't be fooled by them though like so many have in the past, because this game isn't for little kids.
Sound- 9.0
The sound in the game is good, nothing to really excite you, but it works. All of the animals have proper sounds and the ingame music works great with the game, and if you do happen to get bored with it, you'll get a treat for it. Instead of going to the main menu and turning off the sound there are speakers in each level that you can destroy which will cancel the music until you approach another speaker that you can destroy, very fun and you'll play some levels with this as your only objective.
Lasting Appeal- 8.5
The game is about a 10 hour game for the average player, and shorter if you're good. You'll find yourself playing some of the levels over and over after you beat them because they are fun, and funny. After you beat the game you'll also get an extra level that you'll play a couple times trying to get a better time, but you'll probably play some of the other levels over this one. A multiplayer mode would have made this simply perfect, but the game doesn't suffer without it at all, and you'll still play this game after you beat it.
Overall- 9.5
This is simply a great game and regardless of what you'd think when you look at the game, you'd like this game and laugh a little as well. I recommend this game for all, and it may not be as fun as Conker's Bad Fur Day, but this game is just as good nevertheless. This game wouldn't be a great rental because you probably not finish, but I recommend this game to buy for everyone.
