Mega Man 64
Review by Jamesbond315
"The only Megaman game on N64 and it rules!"
Well just like the title this game in my opinion does rule. The Megaman Series have usually been great and this one of course is no exception. The game is very fun, satisfying, and cool. Want some reasons why? Ok, you asked for it so here they are!
Graphics: 10/10: I must say, these graphics look extremely realistic and not like any crap you would find in 8-bit games. The people look great and the backgrounds sometimes look real! Megaman is very detailed and so is everything else!
Sound: 9/10: The sound is very good! The boss music is extraordinary and the outside music is still pretty good! Now, the good thing about this game is that the people actully talk! Some of the bosses that talk sound extremely cool and their voices aren't shaky or anything!
Control: 14/20: This is mainly the only bad thing about this game. You'll see why when you start to play but I might as well tell you, right? Well, If you want to run left real fast hold Z but if you want to run right real fast hold R. You *can* slowly turn left with the control stick, but you have to go straight or else you might not get anywhere. Then again, after a while you should get the hang of moving megaman around.
Gameplay: 25/30: Gameplay is highly good in this game. There aren't many boring side quests but there are some fun ones afterward. The main thing to do in this game is to get refractors in dungeons that are guarded by enemies. With the zenny (money) you get from the dungeons and enemies you can buy parts for Megaman to upgrade his weapons. There are other things to do but you have to figure them out for yourself!
Challenge: 12/15: Challenge isn't very bad in this game. I was up a lot trying to get past parts in this game. You fight a lot of different bosses and have to figure out some puzzles. The puzzles aren't frustrating so don't think you aren't going to buy this game because it involves strategy.
Replay: 9/15: Well, the replay isn't exactly great. You can try to get tons of zenny (money), you can try to get all the special items, or you can work on trying to get past all the minigames. The minigames are very fun and exciting, but wait. What's that? There's something else?
So let's take a look
Overall: 79/100. 79% out of 100%
Megaman64 is fun for people of all ages. It's not very easy but is quite a bit hard. It's a very good game overall though.
Buy or Rent: Buy, Buy, Buy! Its features should amaze you from the beginning!! If you rent the game you might not get everything done.
