Mega Man 64
Review by MegaCage
"An evolved version of our beloved 2d game....now with somewhat of an RPG feel...."
MegaMan 64 is a good change from the old, cause you have many more enemies. You don't chose your level/boss as you did in the old MegaMan games, oh no. You find your way around different areas, and you defeat enemies and help allies. It's kind of a cool twist. At least I think so.
STORY
The story of MegaMan 64 is quite a well written one. I can't really tell much of the story, as that could be a spoiler, but check it out. I can tell you that; as MegaMan, you get to be the hero. The only problem is that you're just a boy, and everything else is HUGE! Oh well, I guess you'll have to equip some Buster Items, and start shootin'.

GAMEPLAY
The gameplay here is awesome. There are several funny things in this game that will make you laugh, but the playing by the story gives you a feeling of accomplishment. Don't forget to SAVE at every given chance, or you'll be sorry when you get a game over, and have to start 2 levels behind where you were when you died. It doesn't sound easy, but just look for ''DATA'', the monkey. He'll help you out when you need it. He also recharges your life after a battle. That's awesome.

CONTROL
The control is a little hard to get used to. When you are running, and you have to make a tight turn, MegaMan stops and then turns. That's kind of annoying to me, but oh well. The z and R buttons make him run in an angle, which is actually VERY useful when fighting.

CHARACTER USAGE
The characters here are grade 'A'. I love Data, the monkey. In this game, most people have REAL voices....that's really cool. Instead of plain text and one word conversations, they have real voices in the story parts.

REPLAY
There really is no replay to this game. It's not that great once you beat it, but finishing the game on all difficulty levels is another thing to do...

OVERALL
I think a fair overall score for this game would be an 8. The only things that really brought my overall to an 8 are the facts that it really has no replay, and that the controls are a little difficult at first. Once you get used to the controls, however, it may be more fun to play, unless you're just impatient, then maybe you should rent ''MORTAL KOMBAT'' since it has an easier story.
