I will be the first to admit, i hated it. Man did I hate it. The control, the graphics, everything. I set this piece of crap down for 2 months and didn't play it. But then a good thing happened, while waiting for Banjo-tooie to come out, I gave it another go. I started at 10 in the morning didn't stop until 4 in the morning. Yes this game was really that good.

Graphics
Not the greatest thing, but definatly not an eye sore. Everything seems to blend in well, and there is very little clipping. Each character has his own background(though some are REALLY obscure) and every item has a pic, and there are over 500 items(I think). And they have a neat little woman in the item shop. Hehehehe.

Control
Dead on, once you get used to it. You have a punch, kick, special, and super special button, then you have guard, and two item buttons. They are all laid out nicely.

Fun factor
This is where the game really shines, it is so dang fun! Trying to build your fighters levels, get the ultimate equipment, and all the little items. You could play forever, and that is just in the kid mode. ''Kid mode'' what is that? Well this game has TWO modes, an RPG style kid mode, and an normal fighting game style adult mode. The adult mode, instead of having treasures, has requirements to meet. Some are easy some are hard(IE: Beat an opponent in under 60 seconds)(IE: Beat your opponent on very hard).

Characters
This game has some of the most varied characters I have seen. From a robot sumo wrestler, to an army marine, to a lord of darkness, they are all unique. And they each have a personality too. If you battle the girl against the king of darkness, she will be frowning, and say that he is evil, while not big, it does add a nice touch to the game.

Finale
This game is definatly a buyer, though it is hard to find now. But if you like quirky games, give this one a go. The only bad thing about this game is that you will be spoiled for every other fighting game. Just remember give it some time, and you will like it. I know I did, it is in my opinion the best fighting game EVER!!!

Final words
Poor Banjo-tooie, I didn't play that game hardly enough, after I got into this one.
