Gauntlet Legends

"Pretty decent game to own for your N64"
Gauntlet Legends: where you fight against evil to defeat the all-mighty Skorne...''
Graphics
7/10. This game's graphics are pretty good; pretty decent details in the character's looks, their moves, and their actions during the game. The different variety of boards and the scenery in each one is incredible.
The Excellent Gameplay is What Puts This Game Ahead of the Rest...
10/10. Excellent gameplay; you have a variety of boards to play, such as, the poison fields, the ice camp, and the desecrated temple. Many different types of boards, switches and obstacles to avoid and to follow. The MAIN point in this game that caught my interest, is the very brightness of each board; each board has it's very own traits. In each area there's a darkened board, there's a lit up board. My main interest in this game is how well detailed it is and that's what i look for in all games of this genre.
Variety of Characters: I'd Have to Say No...
5/10. Four different characters is not that great. During the process of beating this game, you have the chance to unlock many new characters: Minotaur, Sumnor, Tigress, Jackal, and the Falconess. You choose from four different colors to represent your character: red, blue, yellow, and green.
My Favorite Parts of This Game
Death: Nothing beats running around like your the REAL stuff and all of a sudden a little grim reaper comes up to you with his finger pointed towards you. lol
Suiciders: I still can't get over that, lmao. You're having a great time and you hear a loud yelling noise and up comes a little guy running directly towards you with a barrel on it's back ready to commit suicide.
The Deep Voice of the Announcer: Nothing pisses you off more when you hear the words: Blue Warrior IS ABOUT TO DIE!
Voices of the Characters When They are Eating: MMM! I like food! Food is good. MMM!
Collecting Rune Stones and Seeking the Obelisks: This is pretty much the main objective to the whole game right here. Actually, i find it fun to hunt for the rune stones and obelisks, except in the Snow Boards. (is still pissed at those boards)
The Bosses: Plague owns all! The bosses on this game are well-put by their looks and also in their moves. The Mountain's TOUGH dragon, the very poisonous Plague, and the all-mighty Chimera: the three headed monster.
Golems: Now these guys can really scare the piss out of you if you are on a low level. some are ''camouflage'' with the scenery around them. Some are easily seen with the naked eye. (lol) However, it doesn't matter if you can or can't see them, because these big guys are very hard to take down. Make sure you have your power status bar all the way to the top before you consider taking on these guys.
Rent It, Buy It, or Forget It? Well I Got Your Answer Right Here:
Well, if you have the N64, i'd say you need to buy it, or AT LEAST rent it for a few days. This is a great game to play with your friends; it's pretty fun to play and see who gets their level up faster; or just to play by yourself and get ALL the gold, health and experience points. It is a great game to rent and play over your weekend vacation from school/work.
My Last Thoughts About This Game
This game is very cool in many ways: you have MANY enemies and boards to fight and move about on. To be honest, Gauntlet Legends is the first game i bought when i bought my Nintendo 64. I think it's a pretty fun game and i have had a fun time reviewing it.
