"A review from someone whos not a racing fan."

Ah, Crusin' USA. The third game I've ever played for the Nintendo 64. Everybody seems too hate it so much. Well, I don't. In fact, I found it quite enjoyable. Maybe this review will shed some new light on this title.

Gameplay: This is a racing game. You drive an exotic car from one end of the course too another. Its not rocket science! :P There is oncoming traffic, so you have too dodge the carts coming towards you. Theres even the occasion intoxicated driver sent your way too test your control skills. This gameplay isn't bad at all.

Visuals: Even at the time of the release, this game's graphics we're horrible. The carts are blocky, the backgrounds are horribly generic and plain. I think this is the main reason people don't like Crusin' USA. But, the game is not unplayable because of the graphics. But all you graphics worshipers out there may want too stay away from this game. The graphics are not good.
Sound: The sounds aren't great, either. The revving of the engine and the crashing of cars is all you hear, besides the soundtrack. The soundtrack is alright, very suitable for the game. Its very exciting and adds some electricity too the game.

Fun Factor: This game CAN be fun. You just need an open mind. The multiplayer game is loads of fun. I remember my friend and I we're teaming up, trying too beat this game. He would stay back and crash into any car that tried too over take me, while raced too the finish. It was loads of fun. Also, you could go head too head with a partner, trying too make each other crash and burn. Its very fun too laugh at your friend as you take the first position as he struggles too get going again.

Replay: No replay value in this game. Nadda. Zilch. Its just not here. Once you beat the game, it's over. And you get nothing for your troubles. I guess you could try the game with each of the cars (including the hidden ones, *wink wink*), but it isn't necessary.

Recommendations: Like racing games? Don't mind crappy graphics? I suggestion this game. Its loads of fun with a friend. If you do like racing games, but won't play games without great graphics, don't buy this game (then get a life :)

This game gets a 6/10 from me... Its a good game, but the graphics and sound give knock it down some points.
