WCW Backstage Assault

"This is the worst excuse of a wrestling game ever."

I was all over sites reading about this game. I was anticipating it a lot. That was a big, big mistake. This has got to be one of the worst wrestling games I have ever played. You would've thought that the last wrestling game for the Nintendo 64 would have been good but no! This is crap. Let me tell you why.

Graphics-(4/10)
Now I know that not all Nintendo games have great graphics but this is just horrible. The graphics are sloppy and there is a ton of slowdown. I never thought that Hollywood Hogan could look this bad. The tiny, skinny girls are bigger than the big,fat guys. What's up with that? Was EA not thinking when they made this game?

Now this game has enough cracks,smacks,punches and smashes to make an angry old man cuss but that's about it. You would've thought that there'd be at least a little music during the game but there's not even a tiny bit! Even the noise you get from pounding someone is horrible.You call those things grunts? But we do get some commentary,but the bad thing is,is that the commentary sucks too. They bust out so many one-liners you'd wish that these commentators were in the game so you could crush them, but that's not going to happen.I hope you have some spare cd's left over because you're not going to want to hear this.

Controls-(2/10)
Terrible controls, such slow responses.Yet, any newcomer can button mash and destroy you. You hit ''B'' and four seconds later your character punches.Come on what is this? Moves are very complicated to pull off and you're going to be very frustrated. It'll be easier to turn off your Nintendo than to pick up a bat.

Oh boy this is where the game really sucks. Now get this, there are no arenas. Absolutely none. You have to wrestle in backstage areas, hence the name. You have quite a few backstage areas to fight in but why fight in them when the gameplay is horrible? EA tried to use such things as tires for ropes. Using backstage equipment doesn't really go well with wrestling. You might as well call this game Backyard Wrestling. All the wrestlers are equally the same in a way except for their signature moves. Now here comes the really bad part...THERE IS ONLY ONE MODE.That's right, there's no tag mode or anything. That's no fun. The weapons are crappy too. I don't think I need to go on here...

Replay Value(1/10)
This game has no replay value at all. The multiplayer is no fun whatsoever. I'm pretty sure you're friend won't enjoy this game. The only thing that might keep you playing this is when you're trying to unlock everything.

To rent or to buy?
Don't even come near this game...it is not worth it. Don't even waste four dollars renting this crap. EA should be arrested for impersonating wrestling game creators.

I'd rather spend a day with my grandma than playing this game...good thing my grandma hates this game too
