"This game is one of the all time greats!"

To be honest I didnt expect much when I bought this game and took it home to play. Not only do I not like the Star Wars movies too much, but the past Star Wars game have been terrible. But once I got this game started I was hooked like never before. This is easily one of my favorite games of all time!

Graphics 10/10

Just to make things clear, Im rating the graphics for when it came out, not by todays standards. Otherwise Shadows of the Empire would get maybe 2/10

Very fluid movement, quick framerate and true to the films. There were times in the later levels where I would just stay in 1 area and look around in 1st person view. For a 1st generation N64 launch title, I would have to say these are simply incredible. Any fan of the movie can proudly show this one off. I dont even like the films, but I can easily tell these are some very well recreated scenes.

Sound 10/10

Wow! Im not much for the orchestra type of music. but I couldnt help but like this games obscenely good musical score. I dont know if the same guy who made the movie soundtrack made the soundtrack for the game. But you could have fooled me! Wonderful!

Gameplay 10/10

For the love of al things sacred, this game does it all! You get to fly, race, run, jump, swim, shoot, and I probably missed something there. But man oh man! Flying the ships is a breeze, very arcade-like so you wont be pulling your hair out trying to manuever around hairpin turns going the speed of sound. And let me say that the hover-bike race puts most other full on racers to shame with its tight corners and excessivley high speed racing. Flying down street corners doing 600mph really gets your blood pumping and couldnt possibly be more fun! Running around these bases and enemy areas is really fun and makes for some truly breath taking shoot-outs. UNBELIEVABLY FUN! You get to fight storm troopers, AT-ST, AT-AT, Wampas, Boba Fett, and many more. The levels are huge and can be very very very very fun. And using the jetpack makes for high flying fun when you drop down in the middle of a bunch of Storm Troopers and blast em all to hell. You even get to take on a few chicken-walkers by yourself... ON FOOT! Now if that doesnt sound fun then you need to check for a pulse.

Its not often I like a game this much. But this game is well deserving of a purchase. Dont rent or borrow, just go out and buy it as soon as possible. You wont regret it!
